Services
Anaba is the result of a passion for wine that began back in the 1960s. While attending college, Proprietor John Sweazey took several trips to Napa, where he was introduced to wine. A nine-month adventure around Europe ignited John's interest in wine. It was there that John learned to appreciate the importance of wine to the European culture, experienced warm and welcoming hospitality, and tasted some life-changing wines.
Anaba offers a variety of corporate or large group options from blending parties to gift packs. Whether it's for employees or client gifts, show your appreciation with Anaba Wines. Your dedicated Anaba team member will ensure that gifts arrive on time, impeccably packed, and ready to enjoy. We've put together a collection of wines that will fit seamlessly on any holiday table, no matter what you're serving up!
Discover our award-winning Anaba wines as you relax on the patio or settle into the Tasting Room. Upon arrival, select your preferred flight (Classic or Vertical), then taste your way through five wines including our Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Rhone blends. Wood-fired pizzas and small bites are available for purchase to round out your Anaba experience.
We started our wine club to foster a community of like-minded, passionate friends and wine drinkers. At Anaba, we aim to produce only the finest Chardonnays, Pinot Noirs, and Rhone-style wines. By joining the club, you'll get first access to these award-winning wines and be a part of a diverse community of wine lovers, rooted in Sonoma, CA.
Bismark Vineyard is located in the Mayacamas Mountains high above the city of Sonoma, in the sub-appellation of Moon Mountain District. The soils in this vineyard are rocky and well-draining. Sitting at an elevation high above the fog line at 2100 feet, this steeply sloped vineyard benefits from cooler air temperatures, yet intense sun light, adding to the depth of this wine.

We always wondered what was on the other side of that main intersection going in and out of Sonoma, and now we know. Anaba wines which gets its name from the wind that passes through the Sonoma Gap is a very nice property. We enjoyed our tasting indoors which has a nicely put together interior. We’d revisit for sure and have more of the food this time. Service warmed up at the end, which was a nice turn of events, but we felt like they were short staffed and servers were just making rounds instead of making connections with each guest. Hope for the best in the future.

Overall nice experience with the exception of indoor seating. I made a reservation about 5 days in advance. I called to make sure the tasting would be outdoors, and they said that there’s plenty of outdoor seating and that shouldn’t be an issue. She also mentioned that she would “make a note “ that we would want to sit outdoors. Additionally I emailed them to let them know that we would want to sit outside. This was really important not just because we wanted to enjoy the vineyard experience but also because we are very covid cautious and avoid indoor seating in general. I would have booked

We visited Anaba on a weekend getaway trip. We were delightfully surprised to receive such personalized attention from the most amazing sommelier. Martha was incredibly passionate about winemaking, the specific climates of the area, and how to properly open up and taste each wine. For being so knowledgable, Martha made our experience so fun and enjoyable. We felt so comfortable asking her tons of questions which she patiently and enthusiastically answered. If you are lucky enough to have Martha as your wine tasting host you will never forget the experience!

Came here for my mom's birthday because we had been here previously (before COVID) and loved the place. Unfortunately, the customer service was terrible. We did the Summer Solstice tasting, which consists of 4 pours of wine, and for each pour the lady that helped us would say something along the lines of "This is our *such and such wine* and you might like it or you might not, but that's why you go wine tasting". Then she would leave our table for about 20-30 minutes and we would have to wave her down if we wanted to continue our tasting and get another pour.

Wow - their new (2019) tasting room and grounds are gorgeous. We did the standard tasting ($35) and enjoyed some lovely wines. Nothing jumped out at us as fabulous though. Our server, Jim, was lovely and offered us to "revisit" anything or try something from their other tasting menu which we did. Highly recommended.

The beautiful setting and amazing wines were completely tainted by the horrible customer service we received when visiting Anaba. The manager, a middle aged woman with long blonde/gray hair (I think her name is Wendy) was exceptionally rude and condescending to our group. As a Bay Area native and wine lover, I was excited to visit Anaba. I planned a gathering for my mother's birthday and retirement. I reached out to Anaba and asked for a reservation to celebrate. They were very responsive and helpful via email. When we arrived, we were not treated with the respect or hospitality that I expected

Overall, the atmosphere was beautiful, the food and wine were excellent, but the customer service dampened the experience. Our server, James, was excellent, very helpful and attentive and he is not representative of this review. We had a large group of 8 with a reservation, but when we arrived we were immediately treated as an inconvenience. Some in the group were given tasters to start off with but when the others in the group requested them, they were told that glasses of wine were not offered. Additionally, a blonde/gray-haired woman who said she was the manager came to our table with water

Great wines and atmosphere!! Sandra and Paula are awesome!! Both make you feel so welcomed. Thank you to Sandra for squeezing us in at the end if the day. And to Paula, she has an extensive knowledge of the wine she pours and loves to share her knowledge. Thank you for the education on wine and olive trees. Cheers ladies!🍷

While the wine and views are great our trip was ruined when my friend had a severe allergic reaction to their unlabeled local cheese board. A heads up for anyone with allergies that the local cheese board includes tree nuts. The staff did comp our board but seemed to blame the incident on my friend even though the menu gave no indication that the cheese was anything but local cheese and they did not ask if we had any allergies.

We went to Sonoma for our anniversary last week for the first time and stopped by Anaba. I dropped the ball on making reservations but we were lucky to have someone make a call and they allowed us a spot in the afternoon. They took us out to a beautiful outdoor area. They followed safety protocols and when it got breezy offered us some blankets. James was our guy. I asked him about some flavors in wine and he busted out with an explanation about "chemical chains" - he was so knowledgeable and friendly. Moira was awesome! She got us a reservation at a restaurant for a proper dinner - a

If you're compiling a list of wineries to hit up in Sonoma, you MUST add Anaba to your list.
They have two seating areas, one out in the open, and one in a courtyard with a clear tent above it. The outdoor area is gorgeous and filled with adirondack chairs - PERFECT for kicking back with friends.
It was pretty windy when we arrived around 4pm, so we opted to sit in the covered courtyard area; even during COVID, we felt that the tables were well-spaced enough!
Our server was AWESOME (I can't remember her name right now, ugh!). I consider myself a wine novice, so when I go to tastings

One of the closest wineries to San Francisco but with all the charm that any other winery in Sonoma or Napa may have, the winery has a new building with an indoor tasting area, an outdoor tasting area on the green and even a semi-outdoor area under a transparent tent akin to a greenhouse that makes it perfect for a rainy or windy day as you can sit outdoors but not be exposed to the elements. It is also one of the few wineries where you can order food, such as pizza or a charcuterie board that is slightly more than at restaurants but worth it. They carry different varieties of wine and all are

Driving between Tahoe and San Francisco, we had a few hours to taste some wines in Sonoma. After researching wineries, we selected Anaba due to its outstanding reviews on Yelp (and elsewhere) and the gorgeous photos of the grounds and good food. We followed the Yelp advice and are thrilled we did!

My friend and I stopped here while on a visit to the area. We weren't really sure what to expect since it was a spontaneous decision. However when we walked in, it was absolutely beautiful. We could not believe the view and how amazing everything was. Our server Ben was beyond amazing. Very polite, helpful and had plenty of knowledge to answer our questions! We ended up leaving with 3 bottles of wine to take home to share with our families. Seriously can't wait to go back!

Beautiful little winery. They're doing an excellent job in the time of COVID making everything as seamless as possible. The sommelier who walked us through our tasting was friendly and informative. Wines were on the lighter side which we really enjoyed. The pizza they had on the menu was a little overpriced but delicious. My only suggestion would be not bringing the pizza out in a box. We didn't have any leftovers so the box was a waste (although closed food containers could be a county mandate).

Anaba wines is amazing! I picked this winery based off Yelp reviews and proximity to the rest of my reservations and I am extremely glad because I will definitely be going back.
The view and landscape here are stunning. The bocce ball and pickle ball are unique touches. The way the tasting room opens up to the hills is truly amazing. The staff was very nice and overall, the place had a great, relaxed vibe.
I felt very safe with respect to Covid and can't wait to see the scene here post-Covid!

I am so glad I found Anaba! I've been slowly making my way around all of the regional wineries and this place is now high on my list of must-return!!! This is my #1 mid-tier winery.
Ambiance and Atmosphere: This winery is casual, hip, and perfect for friends. The large, open field is great for large groups, and the bocce ball court is a distraction for those who might not totally be into the relaxing wine tasting experience. The bathrooms and amenities are new and in pristine condition.

Great winery to visit- especially during COVID times as they have a beautiful outdoor patio area with lots of seating. They bring you your tasting flight on a tray that has ice on it to keep the wine cool. You have to make a reservation in advance in order to visit, but this is easy to do on tock. They have a bocce ball court too. Also if you make a purchase they will refund you one of your tasting fees. I liked their pinot and their white and red port. We bought the ports home because they were unique and came in traditional port bottles. Definitely another favorite for Sonoma :)
