Ya a is really great. She really knows eyes well and her #1 concern is to preserve and whole eye care.

I made the mistake of going to another (closer) optician. Big mistake. Eyes got worse under their care. Contacts were too big and continued to get stuck on my upper eye lid.

I'm heading back - today!

Smooth experience. Dr. Repkin seems not to have an assistant at the moment and handles everything herself, appreciate her professionalism and work. I came here for a general eye exam.

A really nice person on the surface but Dr Repkin doesn’t really listen or care about what you’re saying. She railroads you into the contact brand prescription she wants to write. I’ve gone to her for years but finally realized that any other Dr would be as good or better. Im a long time patient that won’t be going back.

I love Dr Repkin!! Been going to her for years she is seriously the nicest doctor I've ever had she actually sits and talks to you not one foot in and out the door like others. It is so fast and easy with her . She's very personal and friendly and explains everything very easily, I moved to hillcrest but no matter where I move I will always go to her . I highly recommend!

I was out of contacts and my prescription had expired when I went to her office she saw me even amid this Covid 19 life we are in. Of course I had my face mask on and so did she. She also made sure everything was sanitized. I felt very comfortable. She will always be my optometrist.

The receptionist ( she told me her name is Angela ) is the most uncooperative person! She needs to empathize with the patients. At least she needs to be trained to smile at potential customers. Take your business somewhere else!

Best eye exam experience. Very convenient being inside Walmart. I was able to get my glasses at the same location. Very quick.

I had a contact lens exam with Dr. Repkin today. She is professional, competent, and took the time to explain to me about monovision. She addressed all of my questions and concerns. She made sure I had no questions anymore by the time I left her office. Her technician Debbie is wonderful. The office is inside Walmart, but don't let this deter you. The office is nice, clean, and organized. They provide great service. They do take walk-ins if they have availability, but I recommend scheduling an appt. I scheduled my appt. online and the process was simple and easy. Their documentation/charting

I recently visited Dr. Yana Repkin's office and was very satisfied with my experience. She was very helpful and filled with smiles. The office is located inside of the Wal-Mart. Her office was very clean and organized. The pricing for contact lense exam was fairly cheap compared to other offices I've researched. I also purchased a Retinal Exam for $25.00, it was very awesome I got to see the insides of my eye, which was pretty cool. All in all I would recommend her office.

Very disappointed with this office. I called and was able to make an appt same day. I've been here before and gave my ins info to them over the phone. When I arrived, no one was at the front desk and it was 10min before anyone came out. The front desk lady hadn't run my ins ahead of time despite having the info and then tried to charge me $20 over my copay through my insurance. So I asked her why it was more and she stated that it was for a contact fitting. I explained to her that I've already had a fitting done before and have never had to pay an addl fee at any of my previous visits

I went there as with no appointment. I was there as a second person when they opened. They made me wait an hour to just let me know that my insurance does not work with them. I called my insurance and they said they are on the list of provider and they have not sent us anything. Overall experience was really bad.

Dr. Repken herself was sweet and competent. Her receptionist "Debbie" on the other hand was the rudest, most unprofessional and downright nasty customer service representative I've ever dealt with. I went in with an eye emergency and was immediately confronted with eye rolls, back talk (yes like a child) and obvious annoyance. You know that feeling you get when you can tell someone is bothered by you being there? Yea, it was all over this employees face. She ruined the entire experience. I had to go in 2 separate days and both days she was miserably bothered by my paid appointments

I've been to a few optometrist before but none of them treats me like Dr Repkin does. She's amazing!

My first visit was 3 or 4 years ago. The staff was okay but nothing out of the ordinary. When it was my turn to get checked, everything went well and smooth. Overall, I came in just to get a new prescription for contacts and she gave me both that and glasses prescription for the price of one! I have astigmatism, so normally my check ups with trial lens are much more than a normal person but I spent less than $90 without insurance. (Prices may change within the years. Maybe not)

I agree with the positive reviews here...my kids and I have been seeing Dr. Repkin for a few years now and always have a pleasant, effective, and speedy visit. All the things that are important to me. Dr. Repkin is very competent and patient, as well. Plus you cant beat the price.

One odd note related to the previous reviews...why are all the negative comments from former Costco customers? Interesting.

I was a patient with dr. Yana for two years before relocating to Orange County. My appointments with her for my contact prescription always went really well. She is a very smart doctor, friendly, and fairly easy to schedule with. Located inside the Poway walmart, this location makes it very easy o do your shopping before or after your appointment.

Dr Repkin may have been out of the way for my eye appointment, yet Her visit was well worth the extre mile. From her Assistant Shayna, to the exam and time taken by Dr Repkin, a review is a must. I tried another office that was more convienent, and I was very disappointed by the abrasive treatment.
While Dr.s have hectic schedules in their professions as well as personal lives, Dr. Repkin takes the time and effort to go that extra mile to make certain you are informed and comfortable before you leave.

I usually have my eye exam done at Costco, but after finding out they were booked almost a month in advance, I made the mistake of walking in to Dr. Repkin's office in March. After the overpriced exam was over, I was given a pair of contact lenses that blurred and strained my right eye, the reason being that "my astigmatism was worse and it would take a couple days for my eyes to get used to the new prescription." I took them out and put in my old contacts when I got home, and I saw just fine. Now being in the beginning of October, I finally got around to using my new prescription

Dr. Repkin gave me my best eye exam to date! She's super nice and has a great sense of humor. I was in and out of the office in no time flat, but still felt like I was given 5 star service... in a Walmart of all places! PLUS, she was super patient with me when I couldn't figure out the difference between the 1 and the 2. Haha!

I'll go back to Dr. Repkin when I visit family down in the SD area next time I need an exam for sure! Thanks a bunch! :)

I dropped by this office when my mom's Costco membership ended and we no longer ate in large bulks. The young receptionist gave me a bad vibe when she came back from her lunch, passed by an older woman and I waiting by the door, unlocked the door and let it close behind her without a word. BUT, when it matters she's actually very helpful and patient. Listens to your questions, checks up on your trial pair status, etc.

I don't know if this is being too picky, but someone forgot to teach this woman the basics of professionalism. She looks like a mess
