After experiencing great success as a group fitness instructor and personal trainer for national gym chains, Jennifer Wherrell felt there was an important service factor missing from these institutions. Clients were in need of a wholly-inclusive fitness program focused on their personal goals.

So in 2010, Jen and her husband, Chris Wherrell, combined their fitness and business expertise and opened the first My House Fitness in Winter Springs, Fla.Chris and Jen created My House Fitness to be a wellness studio that provides a non-intimidating training experience, encompassing so much more than a workout.

Carol and her whole team at My House are as good as it gets! They are wonderful to work with, they take the time to make sure you are happy and getting the most out of your experience there. Whether you are there for weight loss and looking for a lifestyle change, or muscle gain and looking to tone up a bit, or even anywhere in between - My House works wonders. I would recommend them to anyone!

Is going to a 'big box gym' and walking on a treadmill while playing Candy Crush getting old? Looking to mix it up a little? Just want to work hard? Then My House Fitness is for you!

First lets talk about parking - I am a parking snob, I need free parking (preferably a private lot) to go back to a place over and over again. MHF has a shared lot behind them and free street parking for several blocks around them. I have never had to park far away, hooray!

I have had a couple sessions now, one with Lonn and one with Evie.

Lonn is very good at making sure you are doing everything correctly

Participated in an hour long small group training session with Lonn. It was great! Three days later and my thighs are still sore!

The class contained a good variety of exercises. It was fun learning to use some of the equipment that I see at the gym, but never knew how to use. The instructor showed us both the "easy" way to do things, along with how to make it more challenging.

If I lived closer, I would be back for sure, but for now I will definitely be incorporating some of the moves we learned into my regular workouts back home.

I went to my 2nd class at my house fitness- during the session I was tired but thought- not to bad I could add a bit more weight for next time - then the next am came - I am soar is all of the right places in a wonderful way- their instructors are very motivating, always correcting your form to ensure you do not get hurt and love to push you to your limit( knowing each person is different ). I can't wait to go back

I've had the chance to participate in a few of the Games classes with Evie, and had a small group training session with Matt. Both of these trainers are fantastic! They expertly balance being your workout cheerleader with challenging you to do more. And if you're bored of your workout regiment (like I was), then MHF is worth checking out - there is zero risk of being bored. Each class and trainer is a little different so you'll always have great variety!
