We are thrilled to have kids back in the classroom this year. With that being said, we are doing everything we can to keep our students and parents safe. We currently have robust safety precautions in place, including, but not limited to: masks for 2 yrs. We are a parent-operated, non-profit preschool affiliated with Bates Technical College and located on the West Hill of Auburn.

Services
Federal Way Co-op Preschool is a welcoming community of diverse families coming together to provide a safe learning environment for children. Through a play-based philosophy, we nurture creativity and educational growth and encourage a positive social atmosphere. Our major focus is to give children experiences in early childhood that will help them gain skills and understand concepts when they are ready.
Federal Way Cooperative Preschool offers classes for ages 2, 3 and 4 years old. At Federal Way Co-op Preschool, children are hands-on learners. Different levels of ability and rates of development are expected. Our program fosters respect for diversity by modeling respectful behavior. We encourage belonging through social skills.
What is a cooperative preschool? A cooperative preschool is a nonprofit organization run by parents and an elected board of directors. Parents work in the classroom on a rotating schedule to assist the teacher. Parents also enroll in a continuing education class through Bates Technical College and earn clock hours by attending parenting classes as part of our monthly meetings.
The cooperative preschool program is a parent- and child-participation program. Parents are enrolled in the Bates Technical College parent education program, and on a monthly basis, they attend a parent education opportunity presented by the co-op preschool, Bates Technical College, or a community agency, as part of the lecture requirement.
