Keys Ocean Vacation Rentals, formally Marathon Vacation Rentals was formed by Jo Ann Cook, now broker associate of the Marathon Office Sotheby's Internation Reality. Jo Ann has been managing vacation rentals since 2000 and opened her own brokerage in 2011, franchising with RE/MAX in 2012. Paulette Thompson started the vacation rental company with Jo Ann and managed until Sept 2018.
We handle all aspects: Reservations, rental contracts, confirmation correspondence, directions, payment methods, sales tax collection and accounting related to your property so you don't have to worry about the little stuff. Keys Ocean Vacation Rentals (KOVR) property management services makes vacation rentals a convenient and pleasurable experience for both the home owners and guests.
Located in the middle of the keys, Marathon Florida is a 10 mile long island full of adventure for the whole family. Swim with sting rays, watch dolphins in Grassy Key, enjoy the tight knit community of Duck Key or watch amazing sunsets at Key Colony Beach. These are just a few recommendations we have for the area.
Check In Time: 4-5 PM If you will be arriving after 5:00 pm, special arrangements need to be made. While running the AC, please shut all doors. Do not put the AC below 74 degrees, it will cause the unit to freeze up. If you plan on being gone several hours at the time, please adjust the air to 80 degrees and turn off unnecessary lights.
A: Marathon is a set of 13 islands located in the middle of the Florida Keys and is 10 miles long. A: Each of our homes has a maxiumum occupancy set by the city, we are unable to allow guest overnight that exceed those rates. A: We have 2 public beaches and one state park in Marathon that we would recommend visiting while you are here.

It is such a wonderful feeling to know that when you choose a vacation property through Keys Ocean Vacation Rentals all you have to worry about is what bathing suit to pack. The next level concierge service takes the anxiety out of the details. They handle it for you. It makes the difference between just having a family vacation or creating a endearing, memorable family experience in the Keys. I have recommended them to all my family and friends.

Great house, great location, horrible rental company. Unfortunately we had a large amount of issues we didn't bother reporting until now.
1. Grill extremely dirty and unsafe
2. Pool cloudy even with recommended settings.
3. Dock in poor condition, not to code.
4. Requested to book this $1,000 a night property again, was DENIED.
5. Unprofessional
From the rental company "Thank you for reaching out to us about booking Vaca House again. Unfortunately we will be unable to rent to you again. The home was not left in good condition, there was a lot of trash left in the house, not only in cans,

I have stayed at properties under this management of this company numerous times over a 3 year period.
I have always had the most pleasant experiences.
We stay inside key colony and always take pride in leaving the home in the absolute best conditions when we are finished.
We understand that someone is letting us use their personal home.

While the photos look stunning (and the view is) the house is poorly maintained. The pool was a murky swamp when we arrived. There was a greasy film on top of the water and you couldn't see the bottom. The grill is a fire hazard. The starter didn't work and a huge ball of fire shot out of it when cooking one night. Luckily no one was hurt. The dock is in bad shape. For the price, very little supplies were provided - such as limited toilet paper and paper towels. After check out, we were told by the property manager that we "broke the rules" by leaving trash in the bathroom trash cans and their

I would discourage renting from these folks. The rental we had was fantastic, but the AC Went out. It took 2 days to get it fixed and that was a pretty uncomfortable, but no harm no foul there. After the rental, they wrote us an email explaining all the things we did wrong, then told us that they were still going to refund the deposit because we went 2 days without AC. They even sited that we broke stuff that was broken when we arrived. I'm not really sure what the point of that was, just had to have the last word I guess.

We rented thru this company for a week during Memorial day. The location was good and that is about it . The house we rented was filthy dirty when we arrived. The cleaning lady was finishing up as we arrived, she was cleaning the house with a newborn baby wrapped up in a towel that was slung over her back !! Myself and my guests had to clean the ceiling fans that looked like they haven't been cleaned in years . We also mopped the floors downstairs and had to clean the grill as well. One of my guests fixed a leaking pipe under the upstairs kitchen sink. door handle in the downstairs bedroom was

WILL NEVER BOOK THROUGH THEM AGAIN !!!
Booked a home for Christmas but it was damaged in the storm however we were told it would be ready December first. Called again just to make sure and was told again it would be ready. I requested Paulette call the owner just to be sure. She called back to say it would not be ready but would find us something else and would call me back.
I waited 3 days no call so I called her 3 times but she did not answer so I emailed her requesting a refund and to over night it because we are leaving town.
No reply so i call the REMAX side and they transferred me to the

I have Always been very satisified with the rental homes and the rental services with Marathon Vacation Rentals. Paulette has gone beyond expectations in helping my friends and family find places to rent in Marathon.
