Services
Alternatively, if Resy is full, please send an email to reservations@calicorestaurant.com, and a live human will see if there is anything available. Given some of the uncertainties of this summer we are moving to taking reservations up to one month in advance. We stop taking day of reservations at noon and as most of you have no doubt noticed, reservations the day of are a rare commodity at any establishment this summer.
Calico is a popular setting for parties and groups. We will work with you create a distinctive menu for you and your guests. For private dinners, or luncheons during the day, we can handle parties of up to 250 from June to mid September utilizing our summer deck. The rest of the year, we can entertain groups of up to 180 people inside the restaurant.

Server lacked people skills. Pricy entree with no salad or vegetable. Small complimentary bread before meal. Asked for more when dinner was served. Would charge $7. Turned down paying extra for bread and asked for Parmesan with meal. Server never returned with it and had to ask seating hostess for it. Once server returned he made a unnecessary smart comment. Not recommended!

Ugh so good. You even have the option to upgrade your dish with freshly handmade pasta. However since I got the lasagna, I was not able to do so, which was okay since it was so good. I also got the hummingbird dessert and it was well done. They have a nice wine list as well, it isn't exorbitantly priced either- the one we got retails for $30, here sells it for $45 a bottle, so not bad. Service was good especially considering how short staffed they were. Our poor waiter did his absolute best even though he had probably at least 10 tables to honestly and the hostess was helping to bus tables. So

Rehearsal Dinner Take Out- Wonderful!
Our son & daughter-in-law were recently married in Jackson. We are from NH & with the help of Julie and the Calico Restaurant Staff we were able to plan a take out menu for the rehearsal dinner. We had lasagne, salads, garlic bread and tiramisu & Bailey's cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious & even though we had a half- hour drive to the house, lasagne was still warm & perfect for serving!! We highly recommend the Calico! Food was delicious & reasonably priced for the Jackson area! With our appreciation & gratitude

We ordered this to-go but it was still delicious. Thought it was a bit pricey, about $30 for an individual pizza or pasta order is a bit much but overall we were satisfied. The bbq chicken pizza was incredible. I'd never had cilantro on a pizza before but it actually enhanced the flavor so from now on I'll be adding cilantro on my future orders for bbq chicken pizza

We had a micro wedding in July & it felt almost impossible to find someone (during off season in order to plan) that would return any of our emails/calls to even inquire about renting or reserving space but Julie with calico was one of the few.
From the moment we got a response I knew this would be where we’d celebrate one of the happiest moments of our lives. Her kindness, promptness, & overall just outstanding customer service blew us away.
Many spaces in the area tried to rip us off by saying we had to rent out the entire space or even reserving partial space would be $5,000+ but Julie with

Holy smokes, this place is incredible! The drinks were delicious, the food you wish wouldn't end, and the service was superb. Dee was an excellent bartender/waitress. Though, the entire staff went above and beyond to bring good vibes to the evening. Thank you, to all, for your incredible couth. And for whomever gave me a cookie, I demand that Jeff give you an immediate raise. Peace!

Not quite up to snuff. It may be that they are too busy to put the needed care in to the dishes due to the large crowds. The food tastes like it was prepared last week and just heated up. When a restaurant charges these high prices they should deliver more than reheated food that when fresh might be similar to Olive Garden.

Food, this place has incredible food and I must say, the ambiance and porch southern feeling outdoors is incredible also.
This place is busy, a wait is common, but worth it. The staff was great on getting us in without a reservation. We heard great things from other reviews and could not be more happy that those reviews were accurate.
We recommend the Steak, the rigatoni Bolognese, the Caprese Salad and the kids spaghetti. All incredible. The mashed potatoes were incredible.
This is an example of why Calico is the best in Jackson…I asked for a bit of the truffle oil, to add to the potatoes

Food was okay, but definitely not worth waiting 3 hours for!! We placed an online take out order at 5:30p for a pick up time of 8:15p (that was the earliest selection). When my husband first went in to get the order at about 8:10p he was told they would get it together and bring it out. When it wasn't out at 8:30p, I went in to follow up. Half of my order was ready, but was told they were just starting the rest of the order "because they were really busy". I cannot understand how, given 3 hours notice, it is still not possible to complete an order on time. The manager did give me

I know the local business owners likely get tired of the traffic. The gentleman at the hostess stand last night made it very clear he was annoyed by the amount of people asking for a table. I went to other restaurants that were closed because they could not find help. So . . . This gentleman might want to be thankful that is restaurant is still open. If you work in a tourist town/National park, I would think you would be use to the amount of people moving throughout your town. None of us like traffic but we know what we are getting into when we travel to a popular tourist destination. Try and

This has been an amazing restaurant for years but not what it use to be. Ran out of pizza at 7pm. Out of certain pastas. Out of the Halibut. Seating people and not telling them they are out of pizza. Offered us Gluten free pizza then charged us extra for the gluten free. Felt bad for waiter, obviously not his fault. Someone asked when the next opening for 9 people is and they responded with "summer of 2023". It's that kind of culture that destroys restaurants. We may be back...in the summer of 23'. Lol

I almost let a few negative reviews prevent me from going to Calico. Glad I followed the 4.4 stars and my gut instinct. Calico is amazing in a few ways. The views from the side porch (where I sat) were terrific. The gardens are peaceful and well maintained. The history and longevity of this institution is impressive. Even the little details like the original menus from the 60’s showing a large pizza at less than $5.00 adds to the aura.
Each item we got was great. White bean soup (I ate it before I could take a picture sorry), bruschetta served as design your own, lasagne and home made pasta

Essentially walking distance from Fireside Resort (not recommended in the winter/at night)! We absolutely loved getting a local beer- I got one called "Moose Drool". The appetizers were some of our favorites- the caprese and wild mushrooms were delicious! Didn't love the gnocchi I ordered as it was deep fried and had interesting pairings but it might be someone else's cup of tea. Definitely worth checking out for dinner!

We were staying close by and every time we drove by this place, it was packed! We went here on a Sunday night and were immediately seated. My family of 5 enjoyed our experience. The sever recommended wine was excellent but over priced, and our group got a mix of pastas and meats. We all really enjoyed the food and had no complaints. I would consider revisiting here again, it was more of a family, intimate vibe that we enjoyed and they had both inside and outside seating. We had to sit inside because there was a long wait for the outside seating but the inside was pretty empty so were comfortable

We read reviews on Yelp and gave it a try . Turned out it was pretty good experience dining in here especially during CoVID. We were seated outside at the patio and the atmosphere was great. We were comfortable as they spaced out the patio tables pretty well. The menu here was pretty easy to understand, not many many varieties but in a good number. The options on the menu are kind of home cooking style, not sophisticated at all . Food came out so quickly and everything was not bad. Service was quick and attentive. Only a small comment that out watermelon salad had some dead yellow arugula leaves
