The Western Reserve Racquet & Fitness Club story begins in 1970, when four enterprising men wishing to bring year-round tennis to Aurora founded the Western Reserve Racquet Club. With four indoor tennis courts, the facility appealed to beginning players and practiced athletes alike in the greater northeast Ohio region.
We are proud to be one of Northeast Ohio's premier indoor and outdoor tennis clubs. Our tennis programs extend from beginner kids tennis classes to advanced adult tennis lessons. Our indoor tennis facility has 10 indoor tennis courts with indirect lighting, and 5 outdoor Har-Tru green clay courts. Our outdoor tennis area has a beautiful deck space, and the courts are enclosed within the picturesque Tinkers Creek State Nature Preserve.
With the Dick Schultz Memorial Tournament series, we celebrate the life of Dick Schultz, who founded our club in 1970; although Dick has passed on, his legacy has not. Nearly five decades on, his dream of bringing Aurora and the surrounding communities closer together through tennis and fitness is still very much alive.
We offer competitive in-house and traveling leagues to provide members with the opportunity to compete against other players throughout the year. Our teams have won local, regional, and national championship titles.
With 75+ USTA teams each year, we are home to Northeast Ohio's largest adult league club; we host a sanctioned NTRP tournament in the fall; our adult players from all NTRP levels compete annually in the Cleveland Challenge, which is made up for a field of our club champions.Play is based on the NTRP, so you play against players of similar ability - from beginner to more advanced players.

From beginners to highly recruited high school players, WRRFC is your home for outstanding junior tennis opportunities. Our enthusiastic and high energy staff focuses on teaching proper fundamentals of the game in a fun-filled, enjoyable environment! Make-ups for missed classes are also welcome but must be approved 24 hours prior to the make-up class by Tennis Director, Matt Treblas.

Been coming here since I was about 10 years old. From the nursery/kids room to the tennis courts and then eventually up to the gym, i made my way through this place for almost 25 years. I've seen it develop, burn down, be rebuilt and continue to provide everything you could ever need in a gym and racquet club.
Now I live far away from here, but whenever i come home for the holidays, the staff that has known me fornalmsot 2 decades greats my parents and I with a smile. It feels like home to me.
The courts are new, some of the workout equipment is new (though they could use a total refresh here

First and only gym I will every be a yearly member at! Extremely friendly but professional staff who gets to know you and your fitness goals. Every trainer not only ensures you get an awesome workout but that you do it safely and have some fun. Never have felt intimidated to try a more advanced class or something I've never done before! Plus if you aren't into group classes the other activity and fitness options are endless with plenty of equipment and well maintined facilities.

I have been a member of this club for about 5 years. I am an avid racquetball player and it is nice to have a club still open in the area. Sadly, most of the racquetball courts in the Cleveland area have closed.
The courts here, 3 total, are decent. The floors need to be refinished, but they are still in good shape. Walls and lighting are in good shape as well.
I also work out from time to time. The cardio section has plenty of treadmills with their own TV's and elliptical machines with TV's overhead. This area also includes a good set of Nautilus equipment and is surrounded by a 1

This is one of my best ways to beat cabin fever in the winter: join a fall and winter tennis league.
The indoor courts are heated in the winter, air-conditioned in the summer and are very well lit. They have also have/offer tennis instruction, outdoor american green clay courts, pro shop, gym, aerobics classes, racquetball and a bar area in the lobby (how cool is that!).
The staff and fellow members here are friendly, down-to-earth and cool overall.
