For the time being, we are closing our Liverpool office on the weekends, so all weekend sick appointments will be booked in Kirkville. Services
Please be aware we will only refill a prescription at a parent's request and will not refill prescriptions at the request of a pharmacy representative. For all medication refills, we require a 5-day notice, during regular business hours. Please plan accordingly. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Our physicians have admitting privileges at Crouse and St. Joseph's Hospitals. The Neonatology Group takes care of our babies at Community Hospital and will discharge to our care. If your child gets admitted to the Golisano Children's Hospital at Upstate Medical University, they will be cared for by a Pediatric Hospitalist.
Hannah Thornton is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant who brings years of experience in pediatric primary care, neonatology and breastfeeding medicine. Originally from New Hampshire, she graduated from Boston College with her B.S. in nursing and worked as a registered nurse in both Labor & Delivery and Neonatal Intensive Care.
Moshe Roberts is a Syracuse native who graduated from Jamesville Dewitt high school, attended Binghamton university (SUNY) for his bachelors and masters in biology, and then continued on to St. George's University School of Medicine for his MD. He completed his pediatric residency training at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.
Child Health Care Associates works hard to provide same day access for your sick or injured child's needs. Well child care visits are scheduled in advance, though often can be accommodated quickly if you are willing to be flexible about the doctor you see. Consultations for medical or behavioral problems and that are longstanding (greater than 2 weeks) should also be scheduled in advance.

We left another practice because we felt as though our concerns were being brushed off and the care our son received was not great. It was like night and day when we switched here. Dr.Chiodi really took his time with our son and made sure he was comfortable and not scared. They always have someone on call so when my 18 month old spiked a 104 degree fever on a Saturday I was able to talk to an actual doctor immediately and not an answering service. They’ve always gotten us in very quickly for sick visits. I can’t recommend them enough!

I can’t say enough positive things about this practice. Maybe I’m impartial because I’ve been going here since I was a child but, as a parent, I couldn’t ask for anything more. I’m always able to get my daughter seen right away for same day appointments if she gets sick and all of her annual check ups have been great as well! We haven’t experienced a doctor we don’t like; they’re all very kind and helpful - especially Dr. Losito!

I left another local pediatricians office for various concerning reasons. I am blown away each and every time I am at this office with my child! The staff from the front to the back and the doctors are amazing and so friendly. They actually care and have made every attempt to make this transition and new mommy hood experience a grand one! Everyone I saw was very friendly, however I've been coming here a year and always seem to see a different doctor even if I schedule in advance. There is zero consistency of care. For a baby seeing the same doctor is important for recognizing patterns in the child. At my last visit (a sick visit) I had to wait an hour to see the doctor. There are zero toys in the waiting room, only a TV.

The nurses and doctors are amazing! We never have any issues during appointments and everyone is very pleasant! The only thing is that they book up very quick and that makes things very difficult if you need an appointment last minute, if have a limited availability, or if you have multiple children which may lead to having multiple appointment days. Other than that, it is a great place!

This place has been great for my daughter. We started bringing her here shortly after she was born. Everyone is amazing (doctors, nurses and staff). Doctor Scott is awesome! He always takes a lot of time to fully examine your child and explain everything. He also tells you what to expect in the coming months for your growing child. If you have a question or concern he always calls you back (great for first time parents like me!). When he's not in, all of the other pediatricians have been spot on in terms of their diagnoses. Dr Scott is amazing so nice and personable and explains things well and has a great bedside manner. Dr Joseph is super sweet and very nice and great with kids as well the Kirkville office nurses are also great. They have weekend hours which is very nice. Some of the nurses at Liverpool are not that great especially one older one. Overall I have had great experiences at this practice so far. They can usually get you in quickly too.

The nurses at the Kirkville Rd location are incredibly kind and patient (my kids are tough cases at times, but I've never felt rushed or unwelcome). Excellent, knowledgeable doctors - one or two are on the chilly side for pediatrics - but all very adept, plainspoken and willing to answer questions. Spacious, bright office facility. Very responsive to getting children in for sick visits, even on weekends or holidays.
