Founded in 1878 by a group of community-minded individuals who recognized the growing healthcare needs of Auburn and Cayuga County, the original 13-bed hospital was called Auburn City Hospital, located at the current site on Lansing Street. James S. Seymour, President of the Bank of Auburn, made a bequest of $30,000 to be held in trust for the building of a hospital and paid by his executors when the legal act of incorporation was completed and the trustees were ready to obtain a site and erect the needed buildings.

Their are doctors at this Hospital signing fake vaccination cards and then dumping the vaccines. There are nurses working here that are not changing their work clothes after dealing with covid patients all day Infecting their families and their closest friends. If they did a mandatory drug test here? Lot's of people would be gone. And if I'm lying let God strike me dead

I was a recent patient at Auburn Hospital on 2Memorial for covid related pneumonia. The charge nurse Stephanie, nurses Kathy, Karen, Grace, Krystin, Dr Mikhail, and the CNA's, I dont recall names, all gave excellent care and were attentive to my needs, despite being so busy. I hope you enjoy the "thank you " gift I sent. it was the least I could do!

I had an extremely negative experience in the ER here. A triage nurse flew off the handle and shouted at myself and my husband for trying to ask questions about the medication she was giving me, before telling me to “go get someone else” and leaving the room in a rage. It made me feel unsafe and nervous and I ended up leaving without treatment that time.
HOWEVER, I updated my review to 3 stars just for Dr. Weiss, his student, and his surgical team. They were absolutely amazing and so compassionate. I would give 5 stars just for them if I could.

I can't make a review, which I find sketchy, so I will just leave one as a check in. There is a social worker here who is pretty much a disgrace to the field of social work. I went to the hospital not looking… for pain medicine of ANY kind, just hopefully a solution or help for my serious medical issue which I was HOPING would lead to some relief. I can't even take care of myself or my home properly with this going on and I have no family here, no help. I'm a sailboat tossed at sea in a raging hurricane here with this medical issue, it's a serious problem. I didn't bring up pain relief at

My mother inlaw just got out from there and told me how they mistreated her. She broke her Femur bone. After she was admired, they didn't check in on her current meds EVEN THOUGH SHE BROUGHT THEM A LIST! She was give an old medicine that hadn't been on her list in years. This caused her blood pressure to spike 190/60. Her dr even came in and was like ''STOP GIVING HER THAT!'' Then her call button was never answered. The nurses didn't help bath her or change her gown! Which is inexcusable! That's basic care, I know alot of nurses are burnt out, I get that but this is TERRIBLE BASIC CARE! They didn

My mother is currently, not to be for much longer, a patient of Dr. Schnapp's who is the urologist on-call. She was admitted to the hospital under him and he refuses to take time out of his business hours to attend the hospital walkthroughs and discharges, leaving my mother unaware of anything and ignoring nurses' attempts to contact him about her condition. He had performed a procedure that my mother refused telling her he wasn't going to do anything but that, belittling her about her own knowledge about a procedure she has routinely. When contacted through his office nurses he rebuked any malpractice

Came in with some side pains was sent home with a couple scrips. I wasn’t getting better. The dr I had seen in the ER was very rude. I came back and was seen by a Nurse Practitioner Emily. Let me just say this women is doing what she’s meant to do. Very professional and personable. She found out my pains where pneumonia. She’s been treating me for… about a week. Yesterday she looked at my scans and realized the antibiotics weren’t working. Got me straight in for a chest tube so my lung could be drained. Today I feel totally better. Not 100% but absolutely better than

Currently in the hospital now (11:50 pm)
Arrived at 6:26 pm. Gave my symptoms to the triage nurse and sat in the waiting room for 4.5 hours. I was then called to a "room" (a space with a curtain). I had a doctor come in and introduce me to his student and he left. She asked me some questions and listened to my chest and then left. So no one for about 45 minutes. I was upset and felt my care was not important. I stated I may want to visit a different hospital to recieve appropriate care. A nurse, I believe it was a nurse, with a snotty attitude came in and told me I could leave if I wanted and

Mother has been to the hospital for extended stays for the past 3 weeks. She collapsed today 24 hrs after being home. The ER choose to ignore any information I presented and did not speak to me (her primary caregiver, health care proxy, and power of attorney). The hospital hung up on me less than 24/hrs ago when I tried to ask for specifics for her care on discharge.
I have never been so angry with a healthcare provider. Avoid this hospital if you have any choice...it's worth driving an hour to Syracuse or Rochester than this clusterf***.

They have extremely long wait times for no reason. They disregard HIPAA. They gave me some medicine and on the screen it showed everyone’s names (first middle and last) and what they were in here for. I had my heart monitor screen beeping and I went to called someone to check on it and they did nothing about it!! Even waiting with the door open you can hear the staff talk loudly about other patients.

The doctor looked at my husband one time while the nurse was checking him in. Had a CT scan done on him, blood work and gave him pain med's and that was it. He never came into the room to talk with my husband about his symptoms or what was going on or even for the results of the tests he did. The nurse came in with release papers right after she gave him the pain med's and said take Ibuprofen and go see your primary doctor. I have had nothing but horrible encounters at this hospital the last three times I have visited the ER. I hate going into the city but I will definitely be going to Upstate

What a horrible excuse for a hospital. My wife was scheduled for outpatient surgery. We arrived at 930 for covid screening for a 1120 am procedure. The procedure kept being postponed without explanation. We were told the surgery would occur at 3 pm, again no explanation. She was instructed to have nothing by mouth from midnight and this is unacceptable. She was sitting in the waiting room without anyone even coming by to check on her. This is unacceptable for a hospital. What is the purpose of a schedule if it means nothing? Would not return here if my life depended on it.

Dear God how is this place still open. They don't know a migrane from a concussion. These doctors here are God awful, I swear the d students from med school end up here. They are obsessed with giving opoides to the wrong person, while they avoid giving the actual sick people medicine. The doctors need to learn what bed side manner is and actually check thier patients instead assuming most of them want opoides...diagusting, this place has mid diagnosed people and hurt plenty due to their stupidity, they have no idea what a shunt is or even transport people due to a shunt malfunction, sad
