Avoid this company. They can't set up an autopay option. After first time it didn't work they assured me that it works now and they sad that it is set up 100% and i don't have to worry about it. In 2 month I got a late payment fee(it was waived because they admit mistake) but i got report of late payment on my credit report because autopay was not working and my credit score went down 95 points because of that. I tried to resolve that with customer service but no-one could help me.Horrible customer service. will be refinancing to get away from that company as soon as possible.

I did a refinance this year and got stuck with this company. My county property taxes were due on November 15 and they did not pay them, so I accrued a late fee. When I called them, they told me I needed to fax them a copy of my tax bill. I called my county tax office to advise them of my refi & to send all future tax bills to Amerihome, and they said that's BS; they don't send tax bills to mortgage companies. Mortgage companies just check the property tax websites where they have access to all the information. My new tax due date is December 31, and Amerihome said they'd pay

My mortgage was with AmeriHome and was refinanced with another company in September. There is an escrow balance and I am supposed to receive the check as soon as it's paid off. And the balance is not a small number. However, the check was not issued until one month later. I have been waiting for a month and the check was still not received. I have made countless call on the 888 number and I was told to wait until 30 days since the check was issued. The escrow statement shows an image of the check with the check number and correct mailing address.

AVOID. Terrible company, really awful customer service, poorly trained staff, ridiculous policies. Here follows what happened when I called just to make sure they would be taking care of my property taxes (regular and supplemental), for which I was giving them all the money the needed.
1. The automated system takes WAY too long to get through before a person can actually be reached. I had to go through it way too many times.
2. The first person I talked to said they would be paying zero property tax on my behalf.

I casually responded to an email from my current mortgage lender re: home loan refinancing, and ended up speaking with Jeff Evans - Senior Loan Officer. Jeff is highly knowledgeable and was very helpful, giving me confidence there was no reason to shop around. He presented me with several options, outlining details of each for my situation. Jeff, Dylan and the AmeriHome Mortgage team made my refi a breeze. Glad to know my new home loan is with AmeriHome.

As soon as I made the initial review, the office of the president got in contact with me (Kathy Martinez), and immediately resolved the issue. Overall, my experience with them was pleasant. The only issue I had ever encountered was with my escrow refund, which they resolved once brought to their attention. I'll work with them again.

This is the worst mortgage company. My mother just bought a new home and her mortgage is with Amerihome. She has tax exempt status with our municipality that has been in place for years as she is a disabled veteran.
Amerihome did not call our municipality to confirm her tax exempt status. Instead, a lie was made up and said she has "partial status" - which does not even exist. Our municipality has no record of them calling. They even said they receive this complaint about them before.
We have called Amerihome multiple times who claim they cannot pursue the matter any further. There

Our house was sold and paid off 12/9/2020. OVER THREE MONTHS LATER they STILL have NOT reported to the credit bureaus!. Calls to them for answers are just b.s. no real answers or explanation, promised a call back, nothing, and the worst customer service, was hung up on TWICE!. We filed a dispute with the bureaus and was told today their so called research dept is looking into it. REALLY!!? I stated to 3rd person on phone they need to escalate this to someone that can and WILL get this reported IMMEDIATELY, she hung up on me. We cannot wait ANOTHER 30 days, that would be 4 MONTHS not shown!.

After months of harassment and actually destroying my credit score, they finally admit their mistake in handling the COVID-19 forbearance program with a now unemployed and disabled man.
Extremely unforgivable, disappointing and heart breaking.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. 1. It takes hours to get through to anyone. And when you do their representatives are not capable to handle any issues.
They completely jacked up my escrow account. They told me I had well over $7K+ what was needed to pay taxes. So they sent me a check. I called to double check that they actually received my taxes and they said yes and all this was correct. I felt something was off, so I called again. And again the representative told me everything was fine, I had enough in escrow to pay my taxes and ensured me my payment would not go up. HA. I just received a message
