I have lived here since April '21 and no complaints. I have a renovated studio and I think they did a really nice job w/ the renovations. There was a leak in the wall the first month I lived here but they fixed it fast and did a nice job. These things happen in big buildings. Front desk staff is always so lovely and maintenance has been responsive as has the leasing office when I've needed them. It's a bit of an older building so I don't find the amenities or common spaces as luxe as some of the newer spots but I personally don't care about that. Can't beat the location.

They used cheap materials in unit and the old AC is difficult to control( no timer, you can't choose specific temperature) No individual heater in winter as other apartment. The AC is noisy and has terrible smell when using heating mode. The scary thing is that the AC will automatically turn on! Even you turn the switch off.
The blinds in living room is actually kind of transparent but for some studios, you only have corner window and it's difficult to set up extra blind.
Paper thin wall, paper thin door. Unbelievable expensive energy bill.
They can't solve the water problem. You may wait for

My husband and I were house hunting in the Jersey City area when we we got interested in Grove Pointe. We were able to schedule a viewing at short notice and Preya gave us a fantastic tour. She was really helpful and patient while we were deciding on our ideal apartment. Our frequent queries were promptly answered. When we expressed interest in another apartment in the building, she readily showed us around again. We have finalized our apartment in the building and are looking forward to our move in.

The parking is convenient and I have always found a spot. However, this last time I paid cash at the box (it does have cash or credit option, which is nice) and I went to leave and the gate said my ticket was not paid. Mind you this happened to the person before me and I had already waited 15 mins for her to dispute it with someone from the company and she ended up paying again in the end. There was no worker on site and it did not sound like the person on the phone with the person in front of me was anymore helpful. Additionally after all this, they charged my credit card 2 times, so an 8 dollar

Were going to tour here earlier today. Made the appointment last week. Got a call 10 minutes before our tour was scheduled, after we had already traveled to the building, and were told there wouldn't be any vacancies until November? Are you kidding me?
Double check to make sure information is correct before carving out time at this place. Ridiculous.

Renters beware. Property manager is absolute horrible. Tiffany Roberts need to be fired for Grove Pointe to flourish. We can put up with the outdated units and street noise, however dealing with Tiffany is worse than all these negatives combined. Tiffany Roberts was very rude and condescending in all the communications we had with her.

The water shut down way too often. And the shut down is from 9 to 4. Sometimes even to 5. For almost a whole day, no restroom! Are you kidding me? For one or two days in a year, it’s fine. But now, for every two weeks, water shut down. It really makes life hard. Especially when most residents are working from home.
For comfort, the building gives free food. During the lunch time, there was a long line waiting beside the food truck in the cold winter. After I have waited for half an hour, the food truck could not work. Then we were asked to leave. When coming back, there were a long line waiting

As a resident over past 7 years, I have seen this building deteriorate rapidly after Julie Peters (Property Manager) moved to 480. The current management staff is horrible, outrageous, violent, and extremely rude!
Ever since Tiffany Roberts (Property Manager) and Liza Irizarry (admin) are managing the building, this building has been a nightmare! Tiffany doesn't respond to any requests and her admin, Liza Irizarry, has been coached to prevent access to Tiffany , with excuses such as all day meetings! We also recently witnessed physical abuse from the admin, Liza Irizarry.
Highly recommend

I have lived at Grove Pointed for 11 months and the issues to my apartment have been on-going with no resolution in site. Here's a list of everything wrong with the apartment 'so far':

There have been 6 'repair attempts' with the most recent requiring parts that are out of stock. I just want to thank Grove Pointe staff!
They help me a lot in everything related! I could get response and solve my problems in short time. And I am satisfy with my renovated clean room. Although some Home appliance a little old, overall work ok! And the location is great, so close to the Path Grove St. Station. (too close to burn my bodyfat). This is my first time live in and rent an apartment in USA, and I am glad I made the clever choice to lease the apartment.

Oh Grove Pointe. I lived in this building for 6 years. Naturally this 6 year living situations has resulted in lots of pros and cons. I think it is important to note that the pros certainly outweigh the cons, otherwise I wouldn't have stayed for 6 years!
Pros:
-Location absolutely cannot be beat. This building is smack dab in the heart of downtown JC. It's literally above a path train, and there are countless amounts of eateries and bars within seconds from your front door. The downtown JC farmers market (and festivals when they happen) are also in the path plaza so you have access

Been here for 2 years, and just reupped in another unit. The whole front desk team is stellar, and make living here great. Obviously the location is great as well. Preya/Alison K in the office took great care of us during the transition. Team switched appliances within 24 hours of an issue, and any minor thing that comes up is taking care of swiftly. If I had one complaint - is that the electric heaters are fiinicky and dry out the apartment quickly.

I have lived in my current apartment for 10 years. I like the building very much. The concierge staff is friendly and is very welcoming. It is helpful as is the maintenance staff. The closeness to the Path makes the trip into Manhattan much easier. The gym is very adequate. The pool is fun, and they keep it open into September. The management plans holiday and festive events which enable the tenants to meet.
I see very little to criticize and I am happy to call Grove Pointe my home

Never in my life have I seen a full-service building be worth zero service. The concierge is disorganized and rude two guests and to residents. Property Management there is terrible in general and it's just filled with transient people. unless you are desperate and absolutely need to be close to the train station you should not live here you have a thousand other choices.

My husband and I loved living at Grove Pointe. In fact, we loved it so much that we stayed for 9 years -- including one internal move from a 1BR to a 2BR when our first baby was born. Two babies later, we sadly moved out of Grove Pointe to move out of NJ altogether and closer to family on the west coast.
The pros of the building are many -- but its greatest asset is its fantastic staff. Everyone is extremely helpful, friendly and responsive -- we felt like part of a community while we were there. Julie Martin in the management office is the best -- she is detailed oriented and conscientious and

I've been living here for the past 8 months, and I am quite surprised by the low ratings.
This building is older than all the newer high rises, but you definitely get your money's worth at this location( 100 christopher Columbus). My friends live in the newer high rises, and compared to them, this building is a superior.
PROS: location, front desk(Very accommodating and friendly), more spacious than any other new building, heating bill is $45/per month, compare to $200 at other locations, maintenance crew very responsive, walls are sound---never heard a peep from my neighbors.
CONS

It is difficult to rate apartments because there are so many aspects and every tenant has their own priorities, but I've lived here almost four years, and while there are some very positive attributes, the property management is so frustrating that I cannot rate this place better.
PROS:
- Pretty evident what the appeal of this place is, and that is location. Steps from the Grove Street PATH station and within blocks of plenty of amenities.
- The cleaning staff seems pretty good. The lobby and halls are kept quite clean.
VARIABLE:
- The current front desk staff is very good, but this

I'm blown away at the fact that the ratings for this place are so low. That definitely runs counter to my own experience there. I thought Grove Pointe was wonderful. The location is incredible. The front desk staff were all very friendly and warm to us. Julie in the management office was incredibly responsive anytime we needed anything. There was a pretty good mix of people that lived there when we were there. We'd have stayed there for years had we not bought a place. I'd recommend Grove Pointe to literally anyone alive.

This is a review for a Grove Point unit that was leased by Furnished Quarters . We had a bed bug infestation in our unit. Please educate yourself on the stages of bed bugs so what happened to us doesn't happen to you and your family. Furnished Quarters staff took a non urgency type of attitude in dealing with this problem when I alerted them of a problem. Plus offered no help to us in dealing with the situation, I had to find on my own professionals to help us out. Their president and management will not take ownership of the problem either instead stating that we probably bought the bed bugs

Think twice.. Better off with a Mill Creek/Bozzuto/Roseland run building!! Especially with all the new product around the Grove st area.
Cons
- constant service repairs to elevators, water, lobby, amenities and trash room to name just a couple
- beware of short term leases - think of air bnb - never know who's in and out of the building - not a great tenant base
- high electricity bills/ no insulation from sound
- poor upkeep- I've never seen filthier elevators in my entire life
- overall mgmt is really poor/ please take a page out of a respected regional property manager's book

This is the worst place I've ever lived. Fixtures and appliances breaking constantly. Floor tiles ripping off and splintering. Management turns the water off regularly, and sometimes with no notice. Incompetent, slow-responding maintenance people. And on top of it all, it is family-unfriendly. Children are not allowed in the amenity space, but they force you to pay the $600 amenity fee anyway.
