Terrible place. I live in a studio. The soundproof is nonexistent. At night you can hear your neighbor snoring. In the morning you can hear your neighbor‘s clock ringing. Not to mention how noisy and annoying it can be if your neighbor is loud.
Edit:
Not until I moved to another apartment did I realize how dirty the tap water was in this place. Black dirt grew in my brita every few weeks after I cleaned it. But this has never happened after I move to my new place. Also, you can tell from the below comments how uncaring the management is. They didn’t reply to any comments posted here.

Crooks who will steal your deposit. You can hear you next door neighbors coughing through the walls. Don't move here.

Been living here for multiple years, the quality of amenities for the price is amazing. Compared to other luxury apartments in the area this one has been kind, fair, and well priced!!

The stuff working here accidentally open my door in the day time without knocking, and the management office people blame me for not locking my door, which is ridiculous! Plus, there are always people talking loud around the apartment.

Great apartments in a quiet little corner near the Journal Square PATH.

Apartments are relatively new, and very bright inside. There are duplexes as well, we have one and it's made the working from home situation immensely easier. We use the second floor bedroom as an office, and there's a little patio too. Lots of options it seems from what I've seen of other units.

Neighbors are relatively quiet. There are lots of pets in a pet friendly building which is always great. Someone is always at the front desk, which is nice as well. Small gym onsite is a nice touch, as is the parking

I love love love 25 Senate Place. I stumbled on this gem after living in NYC for some time and wanted a slightly slower, quieter place to call home while remaining close to NYC.

The lofts, apartment size, and amenities are perfect. I've never had any issues with the building management, who all are very responsive to addressing tenants' needs. It's a friendly apartment community with a coffee shop and vet in the building! I also enjoy the diversity within the Journal Square area. We also have a nice park along the side of the building which is just amazing. It's a great place

This was my first apartment I lived in when I moved to New Jersey and I enjoyed my time here. I was a tenant for almost 2 years.
Gym is a decent size and has lots of equipment. Never had to wait long for a cardio machine and weights. Outdoor patio is great in the summer and when you want some fresh air.
The staff that works here are extremely nice and very helpful. In fact they go out of their way to help. Management is very helpful as well, especially during COVID. This building is managed by some great people! I truthfully enjoyed living here.

My experiences of living in Senate Place has been excellent. Largely because of people who manage and run the building. Management team is flexible when they collaborate with you on lease. I really appreciate that. The staff who work tirelessly around the building and I had nothing but courteous experiences.

Living here has been the worst experience. There is currently a bedbug outbreak and management did not even tell the tenants ... we had to hear from another tenant across the hall about the outbreak ...
The hallways smell vile and there is garbage all over the sidewalks. Tenants go to the "gym" barefoot. I urge you to stay away !

For an apartment community it's not bad. Been living here for about 4 months in a 2br 2bath loft style apartment.

PROS:
- One month free rent when signing a 13 month lease.
- Pretty easy lease signing process.
- Concierge is very friendly.
- As far as management goes for an apartment complex these guys seem to be the easiest I've ever dealt with. They are prompt with email reply's and often friendly. Maintenance requests are filled very quick as well.
- Parking garage is climate controlled at a reasonable rate.
- Community rooms are well maintained and are available to rent

To the disgusting pig "John Pearson" who wrote that ignorant, hateful review of the building, I just want to say I truly hope you're long gone as I would be positively ashamed to call trash like you a neighbour.
Building's great, tremendously attentive management and the area is improving daily. Great, innovative and yes, luxurious place to call home.

I love 25 Senate! The parking is great. The receptionists are awesome. The porter is the best. I love the gym and how dog friendly the building is. This place feels very much like a community and the owners are great too. Finally, the outdoor courtyard is absolutely beautiful.
The owner takes precious care to ensure that the landscaping is done right. My only slight con would be that the walls are indeed pretty thin.

Loved living at 25 Senate! The building is clean and modern looking. The pricing is great considering how spacious the units are and you’re only 10 mins away from the path station. People at the front desk were extremely friendly and we didn’t have any issues with management

Hey this place is great! So new, clean, the shared spaces are fantastic, staff courteous, management easy to work with, all around good choice. Prices are cheaper than living downtown Jersey City and this area is really growing. Steps from Mana contemporary which is an amazing museum!

Their exit policy is one of the worst. They charge for even a tiny dot on the paint walls and dust in the apt flooring. They charge over 400$ for paint and wear and tear for 100$ for any tiny clean up scratch. And they call themselves a luxury building. One of the worst experiences of living in an apartment. Some of the management staff is rude and talk with lot of attitude. They ought to stop selling themselves as a community oriented luxury building, since paint is just low quality primier and cabinets and doors are all low quality. Handles come off easily, and any smear is considered as damage

Living in Senate place for almost a year

1) I have seen many in the front desk. The Doorman's are quite friendly and helpful

2) Best is the service. Just fill the maintenance request and they will be there home in less than 20 minutes. They are really prompt.

3) Gym, floors etc are very very clean and nice.

4) Not just that, if there are any heavy packages, the maintenance guy volunteers to drop it at home.

5) Location is perfect and very convenient.

6) I don't hear any neighbours blasting music etc. Neighborhood is quite friendly

Great place to live. Its affordable, clean and has a lot of great amenities. I have managed to find street parking every night. The building is new so the design is up to date and is not tacky. The washer and dryer in unit is a huge plus. The community room is awesome for parties, studying or working from home on a snow day.

Worst apartment experience I've ever had. Management does not care about tenants, and the extremely high turnover of staff is alarming. Other tenants I have spoke with have similar feelings.
