Services
Yajamahe Yoga and Sacred Sound Sanctuary was founded in 2020 to provide our community and surrounding communities with a welcoming space for inner growth and renewal. With the firm belief that everyone benefits from a dedicated yoga practice, we offer classes that support every level of yoga practitioner, from children to seniors, from brand new beginners to experienced and advanced yogis and yoga teachers.
With the growing popularity of yoga, there has been a proliferation of yoga studios of every style in nearly every neighborhood. Many, if not all of these studios offering yoga teacher trainings, often to students with very little yoga experience. Because of this, new yoga teachers are being minted by the thousands every year.
Lie in savasana while you embark on a cleansing journey on the wings of pure and perfect sound. This is not a performance, but a sacred sound experience created by the transformative powers of the tonal vibrations of gongs, crystal alchemy singing bowls, and other high resonance instruments. Our Sound Journeys begin with the playing of five, six, or seven hand-hammered gongs.
Ashtanga Vinyasa method has influenced much of today's modern styles of yoga. The practice of dynamic movement patterns and breath combined with strength, flexibility, stability, balance, and a focused concentration create a moving meditation. The Ashtanga Series is a purifying and detoxifying sequence of postures that will build internal heat and strengthen your body-mind connection.
Yaja means sacrifice or sacred offering. With reverence to our lineage, we offer this training as a means of enlightening your understanding of the science of yoga, so that you will have a deep understanding of its various principles and methods, and integrate them into your life and personal practice.

Positive: Quality
By far the best combos of classes in suffolk county. I've been bopping around different studios for years, this one has it all. Great teachers, excellent extra props , and good music. The space is impeccable. I think they just opened before Covid so look for studios in Northport ny to find this one!!

This studio is simply the best! Owner Yvonne has put tremendous effort into her new space, and it shows - the interior is amazing and the choice and variety of classes and teachers means that everyone can find a time and a style of yoga that works for them. I have practiced with Yvonne for over ten years and thanks to her, whenever I go to a new studio, I inevitably receive a compliment on how strong my practice is. So glad she has provided this new space for everyone to practice and achieve their own yoga goals. You must stop by and check out a class!

I've taken classes at YSL Power Yoga for almost two years now, beginning with the advanced beginner classes and working my way up to the advanced Power Yoga classes. Never the same class twice, Yvonne tailors the class to the level of the room. The sequences flow seamlessly together to open the body in a logical progression. Yvonne herself seems to have an almost encyclopedic knowledge of yoga poses and is very clear in explaining and adjusting. The music is fantastic! Definitely my favorite practice, by far.
