And it's never enough. We're always testing new dishes, finding new ingredients, and challenging the idea of fine dining. We scour the Black Hills for farmers and ranchers to source locally because we believe in the idea of farm to table. We know the best ingredients are fresh, and the freshest ingredients are in our own regional backyard.
I thought it appropriate to take a minute to address you all personally with what I am doing with my restaurants at this critical time. I have decided to adhere to the recommendations of the CDC and the WHO and in order to do that we will be closing both Delmonico Grill and Tally's Silver Spoon for a minimum of two weeks.

I dined here twice within a two week period. The first time off the regular menu steak was good quality and well cooked to my preference but outside of nothing really jumped out at me about the meal. It was good but not outstanding or anything to set of off from a similar establishment in a major city. That being said it's nice to have that quality of steakhouse local while most steak places in this area cater more towards the western cowboy steaks and accompaniments.

After going to their sister restaurant and being thoroughly impressed, we were not let down here. Service was fantastic. The cheese plate was amazing, especially the goat cheese rolled in I believe to be some type of lavender. My girlfriend, the vegetarian, love her cauliflower steak. My prime rib was fantastic. We made a bit of a mistake by getting too much food when we opted for the French Onion soup. While our belt line was tight, our palettes and stomach were very happy. Highly recommend this place.

It's probably the most fancy restaurant in the area. We ordered this huge steak that exceed expectations. It came with a huge bone, which was fun. Prices are on the higher side. It has a nice environment, and a lot of the guests seem to be frequent visitors who know each other. Service was good too.

In case you don't want to read the whole review below, I'll summarize it here. The food was delish. The service was a tad slow, and the restaurant seems to be struggling to keep things in stock.
The 4 of us started with a cheese plate and found the cheese, nuts, and fruit to be very well paired.

Delmonico's might make me move to Rapid City. I can't get this steak out of my head and I HAVE to go back for another. My tastebuds were singing to the heavens when I put this perfectly cooked steak in my mouth. I probably could've got by without even using a knife, that's how tender this thing was. Three of us at the table of 5 got this 7 oz filet and we were doing our best not to rub it in everyone's face but it was too hard. You must order this steak if you even remotely like meat. Everything else was good too but MAN I can't stop about the steak.

Dined here with 3 coworkers on a recent visit to Rapid City and the area. My review is 4.5 stars. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because they only serve beer and wine. And I love an ICE COLD martini when visiting a nice steakhouse. But, that aside, Delmonico served me one of the BEST ribeyes I have ever had. And I have had been blessed to enjoy a lot of incredible steaks in my lifetime. Not being a wine or beer connoisseur, my dining mates made the selections. I had the pleasure of hosting a group of 12+ people for one of the first business dinners I've been able to have in a very long time. Overall, I was pleased with the service and the quality of the food and dining experience. Everyone enjoyed their steaks but I have to say - I think the shining star for me was the Ahi Tuna.

Prime Rib Saturday. Wonderful Saturday night dinner. My hotel had recommended this restaurant which was just around the corner. The atmosphere was classy, yet comfortable. Their menu offered a wide variety of selections. I started with a delicious French Onion Soup. Followed by a 14 oz. Prime Rib with a loaded baked potato and house made bread. Quite possibly the most delicious meal I have ever eaten. My wife and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here, and we're not disappointed. Great atmosphere and not crowded, our server Jessica was very attentive and great conversation. Delmonico is a "reservations required" place, but when we called they said walk-ins are fine as long as they have tables....on a Tues night in March we had no problems, no wait. YMMV. So this place right from the seat was amazing. Our server/host was amazing. She was so happy and was on top of everything from the menu to making sure we had everything we needed. We started with bruschetta and it was one of the best we have ever had. Next I has a little starter salad and everything was fresh like it was supposed to be. For dinner I had the bone in double pork chop. This thing was tender and cooked to perfection along with the side of mashed sweet potatoes it was perfect. If you are in town this is a must go

This place was great!!! It is by far the best food in Rapid city we had!! It's comparable to any high end steak house around the country. The filet was great, super tender and perfectly salted. One of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. The vegetables were fresh!! Service was excellent. I highly recommend this place for a nice fine dining experience in SD.

Our experience was lovely. The waitress was great! The people I came with enjoyed their food very much! I asked for a dairy free meal because I'm lactose intolerant and after assuring me it was dairy free, I can assure you it was not. I appreciate the effort but would not recommend people with allergy's or intolerances dine here or dine more carefully. Everyone else enjoyed there meal and had no problems!

Oh my god, this was the best steak I've had in my whole life. I had the Kona Crusted Ribeye medium rare and it just melted in my mouth. The coffee rub on it was perfect, subtle enough to give a great flavor but not too strong. And the baked potato. I could barely eat a third of it after the steak, but it was the best potato I've ever had in my life too! Our server was phenomenal and took very good care of us. Perfect date night spot!

We walked in early with no reservations, they were polite and seated us quickly. The servers were all friendly and get a wonderful job.
My wife and I split an entree as they are quite large and also elected to both have the French onion soup We also had some bread and split the dry aged Kona crusted Rib Eye steak
On a scale of 1-5 and 5 being beat:
Bread was a 3
Soup was a 5! Excellent
We cook rib eyes all of the time and we are spoiled lol. Anyway, I will give it a 3.5
Overall a 4 at this location and we will be back

Passing through while on vacation. I had never heard of this place but they had steak and wine which is exactly what I was looking for. Had a delicious wedge salad, warm bread, and a bone in ribeye for two to share with my wife. I asked for a recommendation on the wine from our server and she suggested the Silver Ghost Cabernet and it was perfect. For desert we had an amazing Creme Brulee.
The entire dining experience was top notch from beginning to end, and if I ever happen to be travelling through this area again we will definitely stop.

Amazing place. Great value as a steakhouse and friendly and professional service. Excellent ample menu with many choices, but the king of all are its steaks. Its south Dakota after all.
Ambiance is excellent and location around and walking distance from hotel make it for a great place to enjoy dinner while in rapid city.
