Stayed at an AirBnB that this group manages for several days this past week. It was lackluster: crummy appliances that sounded like we were inside them when they ran they were so loud. Or, they were just broken. Then there were the stains on the towels, food residue on the table and seat cushions. The couch had greasy stains. Garage door codes did not work. The place just kinda blew.
However, none of that would warrant the lowest rating I can give here. What does, however is Arches' subsequent unprofessional behavior. We reached out to this group during our stay to lay out all these issues and

Room (Kokopelli East, Room #5) was definitely NOT "as advertised". Photos made it look way larger than it was. Advertised as a "studio", but this is a huge stretch. The room had a damp musty smell that would not go away no matter how much we ran the AC. The lighting in the room was terrible; a single cold white flourescent fixture in the center of the ceiling plus 2 reading lamps that were nearly falling off the wall. There was no lighting over the counter where the coffee maker was so we needed to use a flashlight to see anything we were doing there. The coffee maker didn't work; if enough coffee

We stayed at Kokopelli Lodge #10. It was ok. Smaller than the pictures make it look (but usual for rental pics) but the neighborhood is cute. Our AC didn't work at all the first night so that made it pretty miserable due to the 110 degree day. They DID come out and fix it the next day which was so appreciated. The cleanliness was questionable. They offered to send new sheets to make up for the stains and hairs found on them. It was good for a quick stay but I would not stay in this small of a space any longer.

These folks manage 2 rooms at the Gonzo Inn in Moab. While the Gonzo is a great place to stay, I would not recommend anyone to book the rooms managed by Arches Vacation Rentals. Our room was ill-equipped. It came with one glass, one coffee cup, a Kuerig machine, but no coffee pods, and several pillows that lacked pillow cases. When I called to ask for these items, the response from the manager was snarky to say the least. While he did provide the requested items, except coffee which they do not provide, I found them thrown in a heap on the floor. Also, the bathroom was not clean, making me doubt

I booked to stay at this facility at the end of the year. Due to the recent spikes in COVID-19 and having family members seriously affected by it, I decided to cancel my reservation due to safety (the whole mid west is spiking) and a stressful personal time. They have a very strict refund policy that they will not bend on regardless your reason. Their response was, “Unless Moab closes by order of the Heath Dept we are not issuing refunds.“ It unfortunate that I am out half my deposit and has had a bad taste left to not rent from them in the future. It’s too bad because the place looked wonderful

They have some very neat rental properties in Moab. We stayed in their tiny home neighbourhood and the location and concept was great. The cleanliness of the place we stayed in was definitely questionable and below expectations, especially given the current circumstance of a global pandemic. I emailed the company to communicate both what they did well (excellent location, cool concept, easy check-in/check- out process, etc.) as well as my concerns of the cleanliness which was unfortunately ignored.
