Services
To enjoy their new property year-round, the first thing Mike and Kelly built was a garage. With an old cookstove in place, and space for the fishing poles and four wheelers, they were set for many years. No matter the season, they would bring their young kids (Mike's 3 boys & Kelly's 2 boys & 1 girl) up to the mountains and let them run wild, building forts, sledding, hiking, fishing, and playing in the water.
Lodging, restaurants and activities are available within recommended guidelines. The private, clean, and comfortable lodging at Whispering Oaks Ranch allows visitors to enjoy the sites of Moab while maintaining safe social-distancing. We are continuing regular practices and taking additional steps to ensure a safe, healthy, and stress-free experience for our guests.

What a lovely cabin nestled into the La Sal Mountains! We were looking for something a little off the beaten path but still within easy access to the major attractions (i.e. National Parks) and Whispering Oaks fit this perfectly. We would have been happy with just a little cabin to come back to at the end of the day, but this far exceeded our expectations! Everything is thoughtfully laid out, there were plenty of amenities for just about any need we had. We took full advantage of the kitchen and cooked meals most nights. The hot tub was just amazing - perfect temperature, and ideal for star gazing

We got married at Whispering Oaks this past weekend and it was great! The detached deck area at Cedar Bend provided a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony. Our families were very pleased with our choice of venue and many mentioned making future trips to stay at the cabins again. The communication with Kathy was great she was always available for questions. We would recommend Whispering Oaks to anyone needing an awesome place in Moab.

Summer of 2021 was the second time we have stayed at Whispering Oaks ranch. We love this place, The views of the LaSal mountains are stunning. The location is a peaceful escape from the crowds of Moab. The cabins are perfectly appointed and the owners do not miss any detail to make the stay comfortable and relaxing. We got home two days ago and are already planning a trip back.

Our stay at Whispering Oaks included a reservation of the Cedar Bend Lodge and the two cabins closest to it (Grey Dawn and Wildflower). Each cabin has its own hot tub, which was a pleasant surprise! There was parking for two vehicles at the smaller cabins, and all of the 9 vehicles we had at the Lodge. Most of our time was spent in the lodge. It's a huge building with great space. The game room kept us entertained for hours, and the double deck was great for social distancing. Unfortunately our stay wasn't long enough to explore the ponds, pavilion, or trails in the area. My husband and I stayed in the Grey Dawn cabin for 4 nights. It was a cozy, comfortable space for a couple with great amenities: a well-stocked kitchen (hot plate, toaster, microwave, fridge, pots, pans, etc.), gas grill, and a hot tub. We loved being up in the mountains and having great morning views of Canyonlands. It was so calm and relaxing. We paged through the guest book, and many people who have stayed in Grey Dawn over the past couple years are repeat visitors. We can see why! We would stay again and recommend Whispering Oaks Ranch to anyone.

Whispering Oaks Ranch made the wedding of my dreams possible, safely, when Covid attempted to shut it down.
Whispering Oaks Ranch is outstanding and private with ponds and 4x4 trails right outside the cabins. I had originally planned my entire wedding to be at Whispering Oaks this summer. It was our first time staying at a Whispering Oaks Cabin and we will definitely be going back. It’s not too far from town but just far enough to really appreciate the quiet outdoors, the amazing views, and unplugging from reality without the busy bustle of people and vehicles. The Wildflower Cabin is so cute and cozy. I enjoyed all the little details inside, the fireplace is a nice bonus! Hot tub stargazing was amazing! I would greatly recommend this place to everyone in need of a getaway!
