Great place! Super staff! We were here for two weeks middle of October. Close to I-70 and a hop skip and jump to Moab and all the sights. Bonus! There's actually good hiking and a ghost town right down from the camp!. Will definitely come back and recommend! Sites are all gravel, relatively level and very spacious. And quiet too!

We stayed here for two weeks and loved it. Nice large sites, great water pressure and cell service. Office staff very nice and accommodating. Also was very quiet and even had a bathtub in one of the bathrooms. We will be back.

Very clean nice smaller RV park. Manager Shelly is a gem. Much lower cost sites than those closer to Moab. Only drawback is that there is nothing close except the Exxon station at the freeway that has convenience store food. We would stay again when visiting the Moab area. Close to I-70

We rented a 2 bedroom park model cabin. It was clean and the kitchen had enough pots and pans to make small dinners. Sitting on the front porch watching the sunrise was awesome. While you are here visit Sego Canyon.

Quite! Gas station nearby. Very cozy and clean shower/bathrooms and laundry facilities. We arrived after check-in window. Owner attached a map on the white board inside the office building for us. Very helpful! Price is relatively cheaper compared to those sites in Moab. Most Moab sites are next to noisy freeways. If you are looking for a quite and affordable site, this one will not disappoint you.

We stayed a week in the Ranch House and it was everything that we needed. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Nicely furnished, very nice appliances, and we enjoyed dinners on the deck. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Easy drive to Arches and Canyonlands, and not a bad drive to Capitol Reef.

Very nice place. Clean well maintained. All gravel, looks like a new place. Right now there is little to no shade but they have planted a lot of new trees that should offer shade in a few years.

Well maintained and clean park. Laid out well with nice long spots. Neighbors next to you can end up being a little close but it's no big issue. Power and water hookups well placed. Spots were nice and level. The surrounding area is not that exciting but there are some pretty views.

Thankful we found Ballard RV Park, we had reservations at Desert Moon around the corner but after seeing it we refused to stay there. Ballard to the rescue! Staff was great and was able to get us 2 spots side by side with hookups for $33 a night. They have some rv suppliers and wood for sale as well. Laundry room and bathrooms were excellent and clean. Park was in great condition and well maintained. Owner came to our site to answer some questions and was able to give us suggestions of some nearby places to see that our kids loved. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely stay again when

This is a very nice place I stayed on my first family RV trip after Covid. It was clean nice gravel. Washer dryers indoor showers hot water! Close to Moab and Hwy Not a lot of stores or anything to do like food or shopping but a gorgeous place to get away! The staff was very kind that's important to me at campgrounds. I don't like rude or mean people. Loved the swings great vibe my family loved it there.

This Thompson Springs park more than doubled it's RV spots for 2021 and has ongoing plans for other improvements. It has easy access off I70. Noise-wise, I70 was not an issue, but multiple trains per day/night could bother those who are do not appreciate or tune out the sounds of horns and rhythmic track rumblings (or maybe grandfather clocks). Check-in is to the rear and was efficient and friendly. The new section offers spacious level gravel pads with new connections which work as new connections should. The park is big rig friendly on interior gravel roads. Watch out for rocks that have been

Great RV park! 35 miles from Moab and very affordable. We enjoyed the very nearby Sego Canyon Ghost Town here in Thompson Springs. Visiting Moab is just a short drive away and we loved everything Moab has to offer.

This was a wonderful pit stop for us to dump our motor home tanks and refill our water. They were very friendly and accommodating! The woman in the office was the friendliest person we've encountered on our trip to the Moab area. We didn't stay overnight but by the looks of the campground, we will keep it in mind for future visits. The campground was clean and well-managed. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay to see lots of the National Park Service Aires in the area. We used it as a base camp to see Arches NP, Canyonland NP, Balck Canyon NP, Colorado NM, and Dinosaur NM.

Other reviews are pretty comprehensive and accurate. They have full sized W/D that are free to use, but there are only two pairs so you have to plan laundry time around peak hours.

Not a lot of full time residents here which was really nice, and the staff are really helpful. They even pointed us to some off the trail
Petroglyphs and a ghost town about 4 miles from the camp which are not available in any

We had a good experience during our stay. Doraleen was very friendly on the phone. I called in late for a 1 night stay. My son had fun playing with the rocks on site. The people we've seen were friendly. We will come back when we're in the area.

We stayed at Ballard RV Park for 5 nights at $33/night. This RV Park sites are spacious and easy to maneuver long RVs. Cheapest gas station is just few minutes at the corner of I70 & Frontage Rd. Our site #3 is graveled but not exactly level because trailer tires keep sinking down the soft gravel bed. Although there is no shade at most of the sites, sun shine in Autumn is such a welcome sight. Full hookup for the price paid is very good, not to mention good WiFi at our site, availability of cable TV, very clean bathroom, and free laundry. The bathroom just like the one in everyone home, except

There isn't much in town, but it's only 30 miles to Moab! Great little park, the people who run it were SO accommodating! Lots of exploring to do behind the town, BLM areas to explore and you don't need a 4 wheeler! Lots of old abandoned buildings, if you like that type of thing. Antelope are always hanging around the train tracks. Check out my photos - https://landcruisingadventure.blogspot.com/2018/10/thompson-springs-utah.html

Great RV Park! This is a quiet, simple little spot 30-45 minutes from Arches and Moab. Power is steady and solid, water pressure was amazing, and the sites were near fully level. Amenities include beautiful bathrooms with showers, laundry, and cable. The owners are super friendly and helpful and made our stay wonderful. We stayed for a full month with 3 other families and we were able to lure 2 more to stay with us.

We didn't get our fill of Arches, Canyonlands, Moab, or Dead Horse and without a doubt we would happily spend another month at Ballard.

Definitely worth the money to stay here. We had trailer 13. it was immaculate. It had a loft bed and a bedroom. We were just 2 people so we slept up I the loft. The Queen bed was really comfortable. The managers, Jim and Sandy were very nice. There is also an adorable and friendly cat on the property.

The trailer was well stocked with pots, pans, oil and some spices. It had a coffee maker, fridge, full kitchen, utensils, etc.

The location is fairly convenient to Canyonlands and Arches. For any photographers, there are some cool photo opportunities, as Thomasville is an old ghost town.

I don't usually give a park 5 stars but the park is clean, quiet (there is an occasional train) and the site spaces are 100' long and wide enough to handle huge rigs like my 65' train. Parks that can't handle us are still out there & since there are more & more of us who are full timers, and have larger rigs because this is our home, park owners should wake up & smell the coffee. They allow campfires in their rings which is nice.

The cost per day here is also reasonable. $30 for 30 amp & $32 for 50 amp full hookups. Sites are gravel and fairly level. They also
