Do not even think about booking with AMI locals.
They are an awful management company that refuses to act reasonably or with integrity.
Several of us were looking forward to 3 nights on Anna Maria Island, Fla. The "primary" suddenly lost her dad,we had no choice but to ask for postponement with well over week notice, they refused.
So, begrugingly,… the tough decision was made to go, so no one loses their hard earned money.
Then, a nor'easter on its way, our flight was canceled, a State of Emergency was issued...still they are refusing.

My wife and friends were headed down for a weekend to celebrate their belated 60th birthdays, however due to an unforeseen death of one of their Father's, they requested to postpone to another weekend so arrangements could be completed. AMI not only refused to reschedule, but also declined to offer any kind of refund. I fully understand that this is a business, but as a lifelong executive I am fully aware of the need for good publicity. I would give this outfit negative stars if I could. I recommend never booking anything with this company and judging by other reviews, their properties are horrendous

My wife and I didn’t know much about Ana Maria Island when we booked our vacation. Based on their high reviews and recommendations we chose to book with AMI Locals for our vacation rentals. We are SO glad we did! The staff was very helpful from booking, departing and answering any questions we had about the Island. I would highly recommend this company to anyone staying on the Island.
The house we stayed in was immaculate and had every thing our group of 8 needed! When you talk to AMI Locals make sure to ask about the Island Life Villa!! This is hands down the best rental

The Morning Star was a great rental, wonderful location, half a block to the beautiful gulf beaches, quiet serene rental with pool access and plenty of space 3/2 home great for families. We will definitely rent here again. AMI locals was quick to respond to any questions and fixed wifi issues that arose. Clean unit, fully stocked kitchen with blenders and all the pots and pans, utensils, wine glasses, and a grill to use. Thanks for a great family get away!

I entered the property to a horrendous sounding alarm, which couldn’t be turned off or silenced until a maintenance guy came, not a great or relaxing first impression on check in. The property itself was in a great location, was clean and we loved the house itself. The ping pong table was broken and held together with gaffa tape which wasn’t ideal. A hose pipe had been left in the pool to refill it - which again is something I wouldn’t have expected to see or need to ask about.

"We had a miserable stay at this Airbnb. First, I called multiple times to request an early check-in. I was told to call the morning of to see if the unit was booked the night before. Luckily, the unit didn't get booked the night before, so we asked for an early check-in (2 hours early) which then was quote almost $500 to check-in early. I was shocked that this would be the business practice of an Airbnb. I declined the amount and just said I would arrive at 4pm. Shelly the manager told me that I was all set and would receive the key at 4pm. At 4pm, no key was sent. I had to call and

If there was a way to give 10 stars I would! From the moment I booked in May until we completed our trip in January, we have superb, over the top service. I must have called 15 times to ask every question I had, they never tired or became frustrated with me. The concierge ladies, Amanda and Alisha were so kind, always doing extra to guide me in food, activity and highlighted places to enjoy. I would definitely come to Anna Maria area and stay at their rentals! Thanks!

We had a group of eight adults and the house fit us perfectly. The house was very clean and in a great location for our stay. AMI Locals concierge service was very helpful and spot on with answers to our questions and requests. Publix grocery delivery also worked well so we we’re able to enjoy the pool, hot tub and island so as not take away from the time constraint of our stay. A slight inconvenience with pool slide and waterfall but it only took one contact with concierge and was serviced within 24 hours by pool servicemen.

These people are a complete joke! Do not waste your time or money on AMI Locals. We booked Walking on Sunshine for 11/7-11/13. Upon check-in had broken pool heater and immediately texted them. They told me the issue will be fixed and someone will call back "tomorrow" only to never have either promise fulfilled. After enough nagging phone calls, text messages, and tired of waiting we finally showed up to their office on day 3 looking for answers where someone attempted to assist us. We thought the problem was resolved by them accommodating us and moving my family to a different property

We did a local booze cruise and had a personal chef for brunch, both were highly recommended by AMI locals and did not disappoint! The house was the CLEANEST rental if ever stayed in. The house was exactly as pictured. Highly recommend!

We stayed at driftwood motel egret nest #2 October 14-17, 2021. I had several issues that they unfortunately failed and refused to resolve.
1. There is one assigned parking space per unit. I texted and asked where to park second car. I was told on the street across from the motel in permit area. Spaces were marked "permit only." I was not provided a hang tag or anything.
City of Anna Maria promptly ticketed us a $75 parking ticket. When I reached out and asked what gives? We parked where you told us to park. the answer from the manager was basically "not our problem"

I had a very pleasant experience dealing with this company .We were informed of what to expect when checking in before hand along with being available to answer any concerns we had. They had an Experienced person quickly available to show us how to work the TV;s - The decor was beautiful and we’ll equipped with towels, beach items and more .. The view of the beach and all the beautiful sunsets were amazing.. Our family thanks you.

We stayed at Bayside Cutie at Bayside Bungalow and loved it, so nicely appointed inside and extremely comfortable. It’s right across the street from the beach as well as the Waterfront restaurant which is one… of the best on the island. While I read the complaints about upstairs noise as well as the delivery trucks for the Waterfront these were minor irritations at worst and easily ignored. Pro tip, don’t rent from Vrbo, save the fee and rent directly from AMI Locals!

They rented us a home called the Deckhouse. It was $6,500 for the week. If you like stairs, you will love this place. There are 2 flights to get to the first floor and there but all the bedrooms are on the 2nd floor. The first thing you notice is how cheap the furnishings are. Its unbelievable. Secondly, hope you do not like or need to watch TV? The owner is too cheap to subscribe to the local cable so if you do not have a streaming service of your own, bring a radio! Finally, I inadvertently left my wallet by the pool. I informed this rental company within 1 1/2 hours of my departure

We were only in town for one day, so we were delighted to find this pool rental available, so close to the beach. It was pricey ($957.00 including fees and taxes), but we wanted to stay somewhere that could accommodate the four of us, had a pool, and was clean. When we arrived, the smell as we entered the house was atrocious. It smelled like a wet dog. We opened the sliding glass door to air out the place and went out to the back so the kids could jump into the pool. To our surprise, the pool was murky and filled with sand and debris. It was disgusting. I immediately called AMI Locals and complained

I would strongly recommend going with a different rental company on Anna Maria Island. The pool was great and that was it. One of the toilets was plugged the entire time. One refrigerator leaked water inside the entire time. On the day of our checkout which is 10 am Saturday, the landscaping company showed up at 8:00 am and started blowing leaves right outside our bedroom window. My husband kindly told them people were still sleeping to which they replied "start time is 8:00". They then proceeded into the back yard which is gated and we paid to be there from Saturday at 4:00 pm to Saturday

Absolutely wonderful stay with AMI Locals. The home was beautiful- enough room for all of us to spread out and the kids were able to eLearn comfortably right by the beach. Anytime we had a question or needed something AMI was exceptionally prompt with their replies (even on a holiday!). We're very COVID conscious so we mainly stayed at the house or spent time distanced from people at the beach- everything was clean at this home and we had no safety concerns from a health standpoint. We're already looking at dates fort he next time we can come down.
