We are Nikki & Mike. Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania natives, frequent travelers, self-proclaimed beach bums, and now island locals! We started to visit this beautiful island paradise several years ago before making it home. We understand your pets are part of the family so don't expect you to leave them at home while you and your family have fun! Anna Maria Island does not have any pet-friendly beaches, but there are plenty of other options for you and your pet to enjoy the island and surrounding areas! The pet-friendly beach near the island is a short 5 minute drive off the island at Palma Sola Causeway Park on Palma Sola Bay.

Where receptacles are not provided, all refuse and trash must be carried away from the beach by the person responsible for its presence, and properly disposed of elsewhere.

We had a great visit to AMI while staying at The Salty Pirate home. The street traffic is less busy on the road in front of this house as their is no outlet. The canal provided hours of fun in the paddle boards and kayak that are included with the rental. The home is well furnished and beds are comfortable. This unit is as pictured and super clean.👍 We used the beach access across the street to walk to Bean Pointe every morning and rented a golf cart which made navigating the island easy and fun. Nikki was super responsive to any questions we had😉
