Making vacation rental dreams. Dream Vacation Rentals is a vacation rental and property management company on Captiva and Sanibel Island that was started in 2018 by husband and wife, Ryan and Nicole Block. They fell in love with Sanibel and Captiva Islands so much they got married on the beach in 2008 and rented a Captiva Cruise for their reception.
The whole family loved the home and its location! Having the beach so close allowed us to go back and forth to the house for lunch and naps for the little ones. We definitely will book another stay! One of the best vacations I have ever had! This property literally had everything and more that I was expecting.

Stacey was very helpful early in the process when we were first processing the rental. She also recommended in-home chefs. We chose Michael Elias, who was an excellent chef and delightful! The email we received just prior to the start of the rental had useful information.

Rented 4220 Bayside. As soon as we walked in the room the smell of mold was very strong. This company did not send anyone to clean the AC ducts and vents which were full of black mold (see photos). They did not offer to help us find another unit. They did not offer any type of compensation or anything to make up for the stress we went thru and additional cost to find another room to rent for our vacation last minute. Don’t trust this company.

Ryan and his team has been helping us manage and rent our condo on Sanibel for the past year. He was extremely patient and informative as we started the process, and had been meticulous every step of the way. When one of the cable boxes broke, he brought his own temporary solution to keep the service up and running. His team proactive found an issue with the air conditioning before guests arrived, and fixed it with no impact to the guests. False advertising when promoting a property that was $9,000 rent for the week. Picture on the ABNB and other websites of the outside of the home was not as advertised. The homeowner was remodeling the outside of the house while we rented the property. We were never notified of any landscaping or irrigation being put in and Ryan was surprised when I let him know. The house looked like it was in a construction zone and picture on website showed a beautiful exterior. It was an eye sore when we arrived and got to look worse when the landscaping company tore up the front yard for the irrigation systems

I am sharing my close family’s experience of this company as a warning to others who may consider booking.
Beware! This company does not do honest business!!!
I booked and paid for a stay with this company at the end of March 2020. That is when Covid shut everything down. Dream vacation rentals (Ryan) refused to refund my money, but offered me an extension until June 2021. Covid is still going strong, so I asked for an extension until the end of this year (2021) to allow time for vaccinations (only asking for 6 more months). My mother is an at-risk person and would prefer to travel once she

We just had the most amazing weekend in Sanibel. The condo was immaculate, beautiful decor, very clean, just like a hotel but better because you get the common area and kitchen. Right on the beach. The condo was very toddler friendly, not a ton of breakable decor we had to worry about. Loved having the smart TVs in every room. Already planning out our next trip in October. Ryan was very professional and responds to messages right away. He was very accommodating to our requests to check in early and out later. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!
