Located at 3150 B Jefferson Street in Napa, CA, Yak and Yeti is delighted to offer the best of Indian, Nepalese and Tibetan cuisine. Owned by the Sherpas originally from Mt. Everest region, Yak and Yeti dishes mainly include recipes that fuel trekkers along their way to Everest Base Camp. The kitchen also features a heart-healthy Tandor Oven, where the naan and other items like kabobs and chicken tikka masala are prepared.
Other popular delicacies like the momos (handmade authentic Tibetan dumplings stuffed with your choice of meat or veggies) are prepared following traditional methods and recipes. At Yak and yeti, we'd like our customers to experience the Himalayas when they taste our food. Yak and Yeti opened its doors in 2017 to offer the best of the Himalayan state to Napa Valley.

Online order wasn't ready. Waited an additional 30 minutes and still wasn't ready so I left. I have eaten their food before but this was my first experience going to the restaurant. Looks like a nice place to eat and the food was good in the past. I may have just caught them on a bad day but most likely won't order from there again.

Oh my goodness! This totally met my craving for Indian food. Talk about good. Y.U.M.! Everything was delicious. And as a bonus, there were 4 of us, so we got to try lots of things. Best saag paneer I've ever had, chicken tikka masala with a velvety sauce, chicken 65, mixed tandoori grill (salmon is to die for!) lukshya vindalo with just the right amount of heat, veggie samosas and momos (do NOT miss these!); and since we couldn't decide on the naan, we got the assorted which was perfect - and fabulous. If you haven't tried them yet - make it your 2022 goal to get there!

I have to say this restaurant really hits the spot. It's hands down a hidden gem and probably one of the best Nepalese restaurants I've visited...ever.
The lamb momo is incredibly juicy and packed with flavor. It takes about 15-20 min, but it's 1000% worth the wait.
The chicken tikka masala is a little different from your typical tomato heavy bases, but it's particularly exceptional. They truly made it spicy (as we wanted) and it honestly just made our hearts incredibly happy.
I cannot wait to be back in Napa and eating here again!

Momo dumplings were fantastic. Great lunch combo - chicken tika, dal tadka, butter naan, broccoli, and rice. Solid mango lassi too. I'm not sure if the person who waited on us was the manager/owner but he was very attentive and super friendly. Plenty of outdoor seating. I'd rank this among the best South Asian dishes I've had.

Don't look any further for delicious Nepalese (think Indian) cuisine in a friendly environment with indoor and outdoor seating. They have a nicely diversified menu with sections for mo-mo's, (dumplings), tandoori, curries, tikka masalas. They have dishes with lamb, seafood, and can make most dishes vegetarian/vegan. Check out their interesting sides.
Mingma is a co-owner. He's very approachable, gracious and down to earth.
Patronize this place for the local vibe (away from the bustle of downtown), supporting a community-minded business, and of course, yummy and healthy Nepalese

We've been going to St. Helena to Himalayan Sherpa Kitchen for Nepalese food but found this little gem closer to home. The food is absolutely delicious and a lot like the other place so now we go here since it's closer. Their shrimp tikka masala is amazing and their buttered naan is soooooooo good! Love this place!

Best Indian I've ever had! My kids normally don't eat Indian food, but they fought for this and licked the bowls clean. Being with kids, we asked for everything mild. As such, I couldn't detect any heat in the various dishes; but I don't miss the heat that would normally be associated with vindaloo and such at all. Instead, I could taste every ingredient to be top notch from the texture of the paneer to the saffron in the beautiful tikka masala.
We dined outdoors, but the indoor dining area aroma alone smells delicious. Having cleaned all our plates, I burped a few times

I had to. Along with Sushi Haku’s beef yakisoba, shrimp tempura + agedashi tofu, Yak and Yeti serves my favorite meal in my good ole hometown. I’m quite literally obsessed with their salmon tikka masala + naan. I get two orders every time because it’s absolutely amazing, and it heats up perfectly so any leftovers make an amazing lunch/dinner for the next day. Even breakfast if you’re into that. Spice level differs a bit day to day, so I’d reccomend mild if you’re not into spice or have a low tolerance, (to me it really doesn’t have spice at all.) I’ll usually bounce between medium

In two words: absolutely divine. We found this place on a whim during a staycation in the Napa valley. I was in the mood for tikka masala, and the high ratings and gorgeous pictures for Y&Y sold me immediately. The restaurant is in a strip mall, which at the time had maybe 5 total cars in it. Undaunted, we went in and were seated promptly. Despite the intense Napa heat, the interior was nicely cool and very inviting.
We were brought menus and seriously everything sounded good. I ordered the veggie tikka masala ($15) with paneer kulcha (+$1.75 upcharge from regular naan or rice) and hubby opted

Really delicious... the samosa chaat is so doughy and crispy and flavorful, the masala chai is comforting and creamy, and the assortment of chicken, lamb, and veggie momos were so juicy and good. The chicken 65 was a little too fried for my liking, but everything else was incredible and the outdoor seating is plentiful. Our waiter Pasang was really warm and helpful, and kind to our dog, too!

I am thouroughly impressed by all of the flavors of each dish I tried. I have NEVER found an Indian/Nepalese restaurant that I liked for I am not a fan of spice, but I loved every dish I tried and I kept wanting more. It was all cooked perfectly wasnt spicy to where it burned your tastebuds off. You could taste all the individual ingredients and of every dish. Highly suggest this place. Thank you much!

Delicious food and lovely people! My sister and I are vegetarian and although we've been a number of times we still haven't tried all the amazing vegetarian and vegan dishes they offer! My absolute favorites so far have been the eggplant curry and, of course, the veggie momo! The naan is probably the best I've ever had honestly. Wine list is yummy but they also carry imported beers and mango lassi for when you're not in the mood for wine! The quality and flavor of the food is excellent and the prices are great (especially considering I always take home leftovers to enjoy the next day!) The spices
