Our services include eye exams, diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, infections, and injury, complete contact lens services including all specialty lens products, and co-management for laser refractive surgery. Our optical department offers you a variety of fashionable designer frames to complement your lifestyle and budget.
Dr. Winson Ong received his undergraduate degree at UC Davis and his Doctorate of Optometry at UC Berkeley. He completed his optometry training at UCSF and the VA hospital in Honolulu. He previously served on the Board of Directors of the Alameda Contra Costa Optometric Society and he is a current clinical instructor at UC Berkeley's School of Optometry.

A baby's first visit to an optometrist for an eye assessment should happen between 6 and 12 months of age. In an effort to encourage infant eye assessments, the Infant See program was born. Through Infant See, optometrists provide a one-time comprehensive eye assessment to infants in their first year of life, offering early detection of potential eye and vision problems at no cost, regardless of income.

After numerous attempts somewhere else, Dr. Ong was able to get my prescription right the first time with my glasses, and then was very professional and patient with getting me The perfect prescription for my contacts. His staff Lenora, Kelsey, and Jamie were beyond kind helpful and awesome. I highly recommend Balfour vision optics optometry.

Was great until it wasn't. I've gone to this practice for a very long time. Always had great service and never had a problem with my sight until this week. I Was able to get an appointment next day for sudden change in vision. Seen Dr. Ong, he did many tests, he would not diagnose my problem, was told I needed to go to a retinal specialist.....he said he would fax over report of findings. Meanwhile I called three times this week only to be told he is working on the report....still no report, no diagnosis, and hoping that Kaiser will get me into specialist. Dr. Ong called today, left a

Dr. Winson Ong was very helpful and professional! During the time of the pandemic; I ran out of contact lenses and it had been two years since my eyes were examined. Great care was taken during my visit and he’s now our permanent eye care physician.

I have seen Dr. Ranola and Dr. Leong and they both were professional and attentive. They gave me thorough eye exams and answered all of my questions. Their office staff -- Lenora, Jose, Paola provided great service as well and they were kind, polite, and helpful. I'm very satisfied with their service over all, and will keep them for long term eye care.

Dr Ong is an extra caring, knowledgeable, and professional doctor. He takes very good care of my eyes checking them for effects of diabetes. He dilates and examines my eyes and takes pictures to compare for changes. The staff were courteous, professional, friendly and helpful in picking out my frames and placing corrective lenses.

Dr.Ong is simply the best. I come all the way from the Peninsula with my dad to see him. He has an excellent demeanor, makes you feel welcome to ask any questions, and takes his time to answer those questions to your content. Dr.Ong also truly cares about his patients. He found something in my dad's eye, wrote a letter to his PCP, and has been following up to make sure everything is okay. Highly recommend Vision Optix!

Terrible Customer Service again! This is the second time someone noticed this issue!
I had to call or email their customer service manager for my delayed frames. I know it's is delayed but when the time comes nearer to the date that' it is supposed to arrive e no one ever called update me. Payment has been done so i feel like I'm just a number for them.
I do not recommend this company . Such a lack of professionalism on their part!
I guess I will go back to my old optometrist even though he's far away .

We are with Dr. Ong since he opened in Brentwood. He is an amazing listener, always smiles and is very patient. He seems to enjoy his work. His eye exams are very thorough, and his diagnosis for any of our eye or vision related problem is always right.
My kids love to get their yearly eye exams just by Dr. Ong. He has all eye tests available for infants, toddlers and young kids.
His office is always very nice and clean and equipped with all advance machines. His contact lens and eye glass selection is huge.
We like follow all his advice which help us take care of all of our family member

I couldn’t be happier with not only Dr Ong but his staff. His staff are the best. Very professional and attentive to your needs and always have their smile on. Dr Ong is the best optometrist I have ever seen and I have been wearing glass’s and/or contacts about 50 years. If you need an optometrist don’t hesitate. Make that appointment
