Our favorite winery on Old Mission and one of the best in northern Michigan. Unlike many Midwestern wines, Bonobo makes some deliciously dry options we love! The food is elevated and the staff very friendly and accommodating. And the view is SPECTACULAR! We hosted our welcome party and rehearsal dinner here the night before our wedding and it was about as magical as a place can get, complete with resplendent sunset off the back deck. We can’t wait to come back and visit again soon!

This is a must stop on your winery tour! Beautiful views of the vineyard and water. There's wine plus usually a seasonal cocktail (I've gotten a frozen lavender vodka lemonade and I'm the fall a whiskey peach drink). They also have a great snacks but they are snacks- not large enough for a full meal so keep that in mind.

This was hands down some of the best food I have ever eaten. I did the food and wine pairing and it was amazing. I usually don’t like pork, or even eat meat, but the pork belly was fantastic. I know almost nothing about wine but each of them went perfectly with the food and the server did a very good job of explaining the wines and the food, you could tell he was very passionate. The price was extremely reasonable for what you get, and the view was amazing.

I read a lot of negative reviews about this place and I have to disagree.
This was the first winery I'd ever been to. The views are spectacular. The wine was really good. Even if the wine was bad, I don't think you'd think about it as you examined the beautiful view. I would highly recommend the BDX if you prefer cabs or just a dryer red in general. They even had an amazing peach whiskey slushee type thing if you're not into wine. No flights when we visited, it was all by glass. Not that big of a deal. Like I said, we were enamored by the views. All the servers were in great

Unhelpful staff detracted from a pleasant atmosphere on a Monday afternoon. Similar price to surrounding wineries without the benefit of full service staff. Without sounding too old, the volume of the music was more of an annoyance than an addition to the ambiance. There are better choices to be made within a few miles.

A bit of a crap show. Very discombobulated, service was tense, not welcoming. So many bridal parties that were consuming all of the workers.
Tables left uncleared, every chandelier has bulbs blown out.
With a celebrity owner, no one seems to be really paying attention to the overall appearance & the employees who are just not friendly.
One fella, as it was about to rain started cleaning up and was engaged, briefly.
We have wine club memberships on OMP, and again reminded ourselves why we haven't gotten a wine club membership at Bonobo.
No one cares.

There was such a beautiful view! They were booked for tastings and such but buying by the glass and then picking a bottle was nice! Lot's of great pic opportunities!
The wine was really good too. It was the second winery we stopped at that day and it was beautiful! Just know your limit. I was 2 glasses in at that point and got another by the time we left I was no linger the DD! Great wine and I live the idea of the place!!

Seemed to be a very popular stop for tastings. Many group tours were here for the fun outdoor atmosphere. The inside was busy and set up to just order inside and enjoy outside. They have a fun swing outside so many people got their pictures. This location did not serve wine tastings at this time so we settled for our complimentary glass of sparkling wine (with wine pass) which was a rose or blanc de blancs. I got the blanc de blancs, which was surprisingly good, and enjoyed the weather. Would try coming back at a different time.

Here's the deal - loved the ambiance here! This was by far my favorite winery in that regard. Inside and out was well decorated with a very relaxed vibe. It doesn't have a water view but the outdoor seating area was modern and even had a fireplace. For that alone I'd definitely be back but I can't rate it higher because it is a winery and I felt like they had a very minimal selection. I was open to a semi dry or semi sweet white or red and there was just wasn't much for that palette. They also don't offer tastings or flights - huge bummer. Didn't end up buying

Wasn't very impressed with our experience. The atmosphere was very off putting, we felt the place was cold and lacked color, their was no warmth in the surroundings, but rather void of character and comfort . They offered very limited wines and none were sweet. They had a Riesling, but even that was dry. The lady who helped us acted bored and bothered that I had questions, no chit chat or small talk with her. Needless to say, we quickly drank our very expensive glass of wine and left.

The sparkling rose made my day, and my husband was quite happy with his pinot noir. We wished we'd known in advance that they have added some light bites to their menu (a goat cheese plate and crab cake both sounded like lovely compliments to the wine) so we could have planned our culinary journey accordingly. We'll be sure to save room next time.
Speaking of room -- there's plenty of it here, so as long as you don't pull in right behind a tour bus they can move you and there's lots of space outside both at ground level and on their palatial patio with an incredible view

Another TC favorite winery. The inside is beautiful with plenty of seating. We lucked out and arrived right before a bus unloaded so we were able to get a private seating area to ourselves. The wine was excellent as usual- we prefer the reds here. Due to COVID they only do wines by the glass, but they did give us small sample cups of a couple we wanted to try before buying. Charcuterie board (made without meat for us) was the best we had at any of the wineries.

My favorite stop! We did the food and wine pairing and it was amazing. Staff was SUPER welcoming (which we later found out isn't the norm around TC wineries). The food was amazing and the chef came out and chatted with us for a bit about the food and the winery and the area. The grounds are beautiful and the wine yummy. We stopped here a second time in the day we liked it so much.

This review is from the winter. We didn't make it to Bonobo this past visit, but we stopped in here before heading to Crystal Mountain. We had the place to our self and we truly enjoyed the fireplace and large comfy couches. We don't like to be chilly and the red wine, paired well with our body heat, which kept us nice and toasty. We ordered the prime beef sliders and they were delicious. YUMMY! They have a nice selection of red wines. This is another favorite of mine....we will most certainly be back.

This is a very cute and very under rated winery. They've done a great job keeping the lines moving and social distancing people during covid.
I went there looking to drink wine and ended up getting their rose watermelon margarita drink. It was amazing and a must have if you visit this place. We also ordered the charcuterie board and the fried goat cheese. The charcuterie board could have used a little more love but it was still a nice touch, and the fried goat cheese was delicious.
Also, the staff was very welcoming and helpful. This place definitely deserves five stars!
