I am Marianne Valdes. I am a teacher and psychologist. I have been working with children since 1996. I enjoy being a reliable guide to support children in their different areas of development, as they discover the world around them, in a safe environment. Edugether is a Bilingual Early Childhood Education concerned about child development.
Every day we start our day with breakfast in which we practice independence and each one serves what they will eat. Every day we have our circle time, in which we greet each other, sing, read a story, dance and remember what we will do all day long. We have every day, in the morning and afternoon, moments of free play in which they decide what they want to do, paint, play-doh, puzzles, dramatic play area, or with musical instruments.
A lead teacher is responsible for the academic, social-emotional growth and development of children. The primary function of lead teachers is to work with parents, administrators and other teachers to improve students' experience and meet teaching objectives. Additionally, lead teachers plan, evaluate and improve the physical environment of the classroom to create opportunities that meet the changing needs of the developing child.

Like a teacher of this marvelous place I can say it is a place where kids can grow as a family. The support the family gives to us, allows there to be good communication for the education and growing of the kids. I was reluctant from taking our baby daughter to a daycare because I considered nobody will take care of our daughter the way we do. However, time arrived and the decision of choosing a daycare arrived in August 2020. At that time, there were no many options, and now I appreciate that, because that let us to Edugether. We’ve had our daughter with Marianne for the last year and to say we are Impressed with the care our girl receives minimizes the impact Marianne and her team have on our daughter’s growth and development. For example, Marianne led the charge on our girl’s potty training and taught us how to navigate the challenges that potty training poses.
We know we can ask Marianne for help when it comes to consistent parenting, and we trust her guidance. Her own two wonderful children are evidence of her skill as a parent.

Marianne, Yoan and Araceli are absolutely AMAZING! My son loves coming here everyday. (Even on the days when the goodbyes are hard for him) Marianne is so observant and gives you a full report on how your child is doing. She will tell you what she notices and ask for your partnership to help correct or continue certain behaviors. She is a great person to have in your corner, especially if you are a new parent. We feel so fortunate that our son is at Edugether. It is an incredibly warm and caring environment and the teachers make every child feel loved. We appreciate how knowledgeable Marianne and the other teachers are about child development, and how they partner with us to make sure our son is learning and thriving. We cannot recommend this daycare highly enough!

In September of 2019, we decided to transfer our baby from Bright Horizon west Seattle to Edugether. Almost a year will pass since then, and we cannot be more proud of our decision. Marianne is more than a teacher; she truly cares and loves our baby girl like any other family member. She contributes to the development of our baby, but also she's helping and advising us so that we can continue using her educational methods at home.
Every activity in their daily routines has mindfulness behind, and you can see how our baby enjoys each one of them.

Edugether is the kind of learning and care program I hoped to find for our daughter, and when we enrolled our daughter and experienced the program firsthand, we were blown away.
Ms. Marianne and Ms. Brenda are wonderful educators; they are kind, thoughtful, patient, and we’ve seen our daughter grow in such profound ways as a product of being in their care and under their guidance.
