The examination and treatments provided by Dr. Joshua Helm and Dr. Katherine Habanek at ChiroPro Performance Center are based on the practice of functional neurology. Dr. Helm and Dr. Habanek are Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologists. Functional neurology is a specialty that builds on clinical neuroscience and uses advanced procedures and therapies to help improve or re-establish optimal neurological processes.
Chiropractic is a health care profession that focuses on disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and the effects of these disorders on one's general health. Chiropractic care is used most often to treat neuromusculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.
Clinical nutrition is the study of the relationship between food and a healthy body. More specifically, it is the science of nutrients and how it is digested, absorbed, transported, metabolized, stored, and eliminated by the body. In a clinical nutrition appointment, a thorough history of your health as well as your symptoms will be noted and taken into account.
A concussion is a brain injury caused by a blow to the head or the body that affects how your brain works. At ChiroPro Performance Center, we take a functional approach to concussion diagnosis and rehabilitation. Dr. Joshua Helm and Dr. Katherine Habanek integrate advanced technology along with clinical examination to assist in the diagnosis, assessment and treatment of concussions.
Patients who have completed an initial Phase of treatment may benefit from a Phase 2 of focused care to further enhance progress. Six (6) one (1) hour sessions over the course of 2-weeks, including a home exercise program. If you have not been seen by our doctors within 3 months, we may need to update your condition and treatment goals.

ChiroPro Performance Center is wonderful! The therapies are fascinating and so different from what I've encountered in traditional western medicine over the course of my "health adventure". Dr. Carlson, Dr. Habanek, Rachel and Tina make a great, compassionate team, and I feel like I have been in good hands. I'm fortunate that this resource is within driving distance to my home, as I've benefitted from my therapies. Highly recommend!

If I could give it 10 stars I would. Dr Carlson has created a team of people who are at the top of the game with what they do. I went through this program myself after seeing a very close friend have a TBI and have success with ChiroPro. I thought I was ok just getting through everyday life, and I am very active and aware of how I feel all the time. Being a practitioner myself I need to be at the top of my game all the time. This was a large eye opening experience. I got healthier and learned so much at the same time. It saved my home life and changed my outlook on what healthy looks and feels

Dr.Carlson and her staff are the greatest I’ve ever been too. I’ve struggled with chronic nausea that Dr Carlson has been treating for only a few visits and it has literally been a life changer for me. As a former professional athlete and a health care provider for over 30 years I have never been to a doctor and staff that was so knowledgeable and compassionate. I can't say enough good things about the incredible staff at ChiroPro and their intentional methodology! The care was so individualized and specific to my needs and situation. I first started going to ChiroPro back in March of 2015. The staff that they have is absolutely amazing! They truly care about each patient who walks through the door, treating each patient (and each case) as an individual. They do an excellent job of making you feel right at home, the moment you walk through the door. After 6 months, my 12 year old son was barely making progress on rehab for a concussion he got playing futsal. He went from being an elite athlete to not even being able to walk 5 minutes. I was told he'd be fine in a week, then a month, then 3 months. I cried every night.
