Kinetx Rehab
Kinetx was founded by two physical therapists over 15 years ago, who combined, have over 45 years of experience in the field. They felt that the rehab treatment offered to patients by hospitals and other larger clinics was often "cookbook", rushed, methodical and impersonally managed. For that reason the two felt they needed to develop a better approach.

Kinetx is focused on the patient-therapist relationship. The clinic works to give each patient individual attention. We foster an environment in which each person's needs are heard and addressed by a qualified physical therapist. This approach is the foundation of Kinetx Rehab and is how we practice to this day.
Services
Our mission has been to create a rehab clinic where patients feel connected, cared about, involved and energized, a family type working environment where patients understand and have confidence in their personal treatment program. From this philosophy was born Kinetx Rehab! We are pleased to work with clients of all ages.
Patients are accepted either by physician referral or directly without referral if their insurance allows. Some insurance companies require referral for reimbursement. If you have direct access, we would be happy to see you for an initial evaluation, but reserve the right to refer you back to a physician for further evaluation or diagnostic work up if it seems appropriate.
We operate with a high therapist ratio, so patients are assured that they will be treated by a registered therapist and not an aide. Between the front office and the clinical group, we have years of experience working with clients to obtain results which meet their needs and expectations, not ours.

Started PT here in mid-August after a knee dislocation injury at the end of June. I just "graduated" last week, and I LOVED my experience at Kinetx! Karen, Shay, and Sterling were all SO nice and encouraging, and I made amazing progress with them. They were very accommodating with my restrictive schedule (I could only do early mornings/end of the day).
Hopefully I don't have any more injuries that require PT, but if I do, I know where to go.

This is to respond to Kinetx's message to my original review.

You never offered online services to my wife. You told her come back with a negative which would be after three months. Do not make it seem like you wanted to take care of her; your focus was on pushing your policy and telling my wife to come back after a negative test. You are disciminating against people who had past COVID and are now healthy and cleared by CDC guidelines and healthcare provider!

Who did you consult with, someone from the county of San Mateo? What abstract did you refer to? I listed in my review where I got

Ignorant and discriminatory once you got COVID. Despite getting clearance from San Mateo County Health and my primary care doctor after meeting the CDC guidelines of 14-day quarantine, this place will still require a negative COVID test, which you will not get for 3 months.

I tried to educate them of CDC guidelines but this is a private practice and can make up whatever policy they want.

They discriminate based on fear, ignorance, and simply out of not truly caring for their patients who were Covid positive.

So happy I found this rehab. Best physical therapists ever. So glad they are checking for Covid vaccination proof and if exposed need a negative test. And who doesn't love Fenway. Thank you.

My experience here was very negative. I was suppose to fill out a new patient form before arriving that they said they e-mailed me, but I never received it! No biggie, but the boss lady (I think she may be the owner or manager) insisted it was sent and that it was my fault for not receiving. Okay lady, sometimes e-mails end up in spam folders – just because you sent it doesn't mean I received it.
As a result, since I had to spend some of my time filling out forms, my first session was cut short in terms of content. That's understandable. As we were wrapping up, I had a quick question for my

This has got to be one of the best physical therapy teams in the SF Bay Area. Karen, Sterling (both super experienced) and Shayna (senior coach and office manager) are dedicated to their craft and truly care about their patients. They seek to understand your needs, set stretching but achievable goals, and give their patients the confidence and tools to continue their recovery at home whenever possible. I highly recommend them - well worth the short and easy drive or BART/Caltrain rise down to San Bruno!

I am doing my PT here after a knee replacement. Excellent care, knowledgeable and friendly staff. They take time to explain and they listen to me and adapt. Highly recommend.

TLDR; the PT aides are all really nice and knowledgeable and if you're lucky enough to have Sterling work with you, you're in good hands. Karen, the only PT in the office does very minimal in regards to assessment, and seems preoccupied. If you want a more involved physical therapist, look elsewhere. But the PT aides are really nice and knowledgeable - but if you have a more complex case that needs support, please look elsewhere. I think they can really handle just run of the mill issues.

I love everyone working here at Kinetx! Not only is everyone super genuine and nice, they are effective and good at what they do. I had pain on my right hip (soreness?) and the stretches and exercises they had me doing really helped my pain and misalignment in my hips. I tried going to a chiropractor before coming here, and I stopped that immediately after finding Kinetx.

I rarely write reviews and I'm not sure if I've ever written a second review for the same place...had to do it today.

Kinetx has saved my back, knees, and a** numerous times over the years. Due to Covid-19 they are closed. Nooooooo!

I was having a back spasm at 4AM this morning. I emailed Karen to see if there was any way she could help me (this was from bed). She called me first thing in the morning and we talked to 30 minutes while she walked me through some of the stretches and techniques they've showed me over the years. She even came up with a few new ones and then sent

I waited years to write this review. I felt so angry and so abused from this experience that I honestly just needed time to heal.

The issue was an overall and profound lack of professionalism.

Dog in the office--I like dogs but it was obvious that if you didn't, you could find a new place for your rehab.

Religious icons in the office, like a picture of the pope on the wall--I'm not Catholic, and if you're my PT, I honestly don't want to know anything about your religion, either. I'm an atheist...it made me uncomfortable.

After having had some problematic experiences with other providers, I was fortunate enough to come across this stellar operation. The staff is clear, skilled, compassionate, and effective. My experience and outcome are nothing short of wonderful. I have and will continue to refer my friends and family here.

Usually I will look at a facility for aesthetics and appearance for first impression however I had that at " More therapy " and they lacked true expertise in regards to patient care , rehab and compassion . I have had exceptional rehab care at kinetics . Karen , Sterling , Sheena & Melissa focus on my care every time I am there . I am being treated for neck , lower back along with a slow healing navicular fracture. They are personable , professional & fen-way their dog puts a happy flare in the air. I am thrilled to do my rehabilitation here and I highly recommend them . They

I've been to a few physical therapist rehabs. (What can I say, my now brittle bones aren't as young as they used to). If I may share my experiences with whomever happened to stumble on my humble comments please. KineTx Rehab in San Bruno, CA stands out of all the rest. After the 3rd day, you'd think the "broken" person would already be able to know the routine warm ups but a few of us, especially yours truly, no longer have a tiptop memory. But Shirley and Taku will patiently work with you. And busy or not, they're always keeping an eye on YOU and correcting

There is no place like Kinetx Rehab. I just completed therapy for my 3rd injury, I have been here after a shoulder surgery, knee surgury & hamstring tear, but no matter what the injury they always get me back to 100%. They set you up with a routine starting off with a warm up then stretching, then you get to the good stuff (excercises). They are very attentive and are always checking in on you to see how your feeling. They know when to step it up or slow it down depending on how your healing... They highlight of Kinetx is the Therapist STERLING.. He is Amazing at what he does. after your stretching

Great place! Some of the negative reviews about lack of attention are totally unfounded. If you felt there was a lack of attention, why did you not ask about it? I write this because this was a bit of a change of pace for me as well. And I did ask and it's been clearly demonstrated to me (especially when I wasn't doing something correctly) that there are plenty of sets of eyes to monitor how patients are doing. The staff is attentive.

I like that the things they teach allow one to independently continue progress. In my case, I can do pretty much all my routine with my home equipment

Disappointing...the trainer lets you do your own warm up and stretches. How would you know whether you're doing it right or not. There's one trainer that is actually good and knows what he's doing but for the life of me I can't remember his name...

I injured my back in January of this year. It had been a nagging injury that I had for at least 6 months and I finally decided to come in for some physical therapy. One thing I appreciated about this place (while some others might not) is that they teach you to be independent so that you can continue doing your exercises at home. I found this to be a great philosophy as much of your recuperation occurs at home as well as at their facility.

If you are someone that needs to be babysat or has low self motivation, this might not be the best facility for you. If you want to make sure that you
