We specialize in treating individuals who are experiencing cognitive or emotional problems. We also treat those with anxiety, depression, trauma, or adjustment and life transitional difficulties that impact everyday living. We want to help you on this path of recovery by creating a safe, compassionate place for you and/or your family to strive to make each day you live, your best day.

We also focus on prevention by providing assessments to monitor your brain health across a lifespan, especially for those who may be at higher risk for or more prone to cognitive decline with aging because of genetics, family history, or history of concussions, to name a few. Our specialized services are designed to improve your mood and thinking skills to maximize the quality of your life by integrating.
Services
We are CA-licensed, neuro-rehabilitation psychologists that value evidence-based approaches and integrate psychological treatments that are founded in theory, research, and practice. We are trained in the scientist-practitioner model where our assessments and interventions are empirically informed by scientifically-based protocols in psychology, neuropsychology, and rehabilitation.
STEM focuses on individually-tailored care that involves mutual respect, collaboration, and most importantly, stems from scientifically-informed practices and evidence-based treatments. We have a 4 Phase Approach that begins with an initial consultation to determine whether you may benefit from our specialty areas and ensure mutual collaboration and fit.
Our assessments are utilized to develop an individually-tailored and targeted intervention just for you. Cognitive health check-ups are cognitive and mental health screens which target brain health and impact life satisfaction and quality of life across a lifespan.

Establishing a cognitive baseline and early detection is key to preventing or slowing the progression of cognitive or mental decline and keeping your brain healthy (American Congress of Lifestyle Medicine).

We hope to provide tailored services to help you address your needs or provide appropriate referrals. We are not sure if this is the right place for you. Prior to your first appointment, we briefly discuss your goals and expectations and determine if we are the good fit for your needs.
Your patient may be a good candidate for STEM if they report cognitive or behavioral difficulties that impact their ability to manage complex activities of daily living at home, work, community, school or leisure. We also provide annual cognitive health check-ups to assess and monitor brain health for those who may be susceptible or at risk for cognitive decline during their lifespan.
