Below are pictures of materials placed on-hold listed by most recent first. If any of these materials are yours, please contact us at (925)689-3900 and we'll help you get this sorted out ASAP. There are currently no suspicious materials on hold. Please call if you have any concerns. Holidays: We are closed for most holidays, but be sure to call and confirm if you have any doubts.
Concord Recycling Center complies with California State Laws. For your reference, see the attached files below for applicable laws and statutes. You will be asked to leave with your materials and to return with amounts within these limits. In accordance with the business and profession's code #21606, 21608.5, all non-ferrous will be placed on a 3 weekday hold.

Poor customer service. Horrible attitude. They told me the window would be closed for 20 minutes and asked me to wait. They allowed a few more people to go before me but stopped me when it was my turn. The guy was almost yelling at me. He said 20 minutes, but I was still waiting after 30 minutes. When I told the rude guy 20 minutes had passed, he said, "Then 30 minutes." I ended up waiting 36 minutes. The update says the window would be closed till 12:45, but it was 12:55 when I was still waiting. The person who asked me to wait did not know how to talk to customers. Give him some training before

Like most remaining B&C recycling places, it is a very minimal operation; almost No onsite parking. Typically you will wait in line, in your car, on the street, around the block. They supply no receiving containers, so bring your recyclables segregated into ghetto luggage (large plastic trash bags).

Brought my 7 year old autistic son here so he could familiarize himself with recycling. The staff are not quite that helpful, you get to figure out where is the line to start and where to head next. They call out "Next" and then weigh your stuff and then to the window and done. The way its set up now, is better, you're in and out in no time. Any payments above $30 is given in a check.

Concord recycling center is yet by far the best place to take your recycle materials, from household to comercial recycling materials and the best prices with no surprise's, lines are usually long but go really quick especially now that they have changed the entrance parking to a one way and have staff directing traffic, I live in pittsburg ca, and have been to many other places here in contra costa county and will never do business with again. 5-stars and a big thumbs up to concord recycling center, a respectful,honest,and people kind of business also professional.

My boys and I have been bringing everything from our bottles & cans here, to old TVs and Christmas lights, for many years. The staff is always hard at work, very friendly, and eager to help. We use the money for gas and other expenses, and it really helps out. This facility seems to pay the best prices per pound, in this area. I recommend this place all of the time!

Place and service is fair. However, you usually wait in line for 1 hour. Also, they only accept 50 bottles per day. If you bring in more than 50 bottles, they will only count the weight. If they count the weight, you receive lower money than you should. In my situation, when I brought 50 bottles and they only counted the number of bottles, I was paid $2.50. On another day, when I brought 50 bottles and they only counted the weight, I was paid $1.66. The CA CRV states that we should receive the $2.50 but this business does it differently. You get paid less if you bring in more than 50 bottles.
