My father in law was taken advantage of by Lexi Allan. He went to school and church with her apparently and she did his final trust while BOTH were in their 80s. The family had to hire another attorney as it was so poorly made. In addition, she charged us $150 a few days prior to his death just so we could get a copy of it. She sent us a prepaid envelope with her address on it and the return address as well. Three months later she now claims that she never got our payment. As if we don't have enough to deal with, now we have to go to their office in person next week to get this bill paid.

In 1998, these THIEVES took my case to get money from me along with so many other cases like mine and made me wait, while I was homeless, hungry, unable to work, going through an abusive 7 year custody battle… and divorce! I have had a two year fight to receive my benefits. I brung on David Allen and associates after my second denial. The case manager Tom Amey was responsive took calls and responded to emails initially. My case was won and fees were paid. My full benefits have not been paid out and when contacting Tom or the lawyer they don't even have the time to talk to their client. I have called, no return call I sent Tom emails with no response. I gather once they receive payment you are on your own. Thats very bad business.

Their communication is spotty. There where times I was sitting here thinking they forgot about me. They did win my case, but Covid hit right about that time and I never heard congratulations, in fact, I just was sent a small bill to pay. To this day 4 months later not a word. They could be more personable....

I applied for SSDI in March 2019. It is now December 2019. While I can't blame David Allen & Associates for Social Security's failures & delays, David Allen has become very quiet & non-responsive. My emails & calls are never returned w/out multiple attempts. They were absolutely wonderful at intake, compassionate & highly professional. Even when I got a request for additional info from SS in June, they were helpful. This is no longer the case. They say they're busy, but really their case load should be manageable. Isn't this why we hire them, the one-on-one

This law firm has terrible customer ...I've been calling and calling left 3 messages to get a simple question answered about my case for ssi that I have already been approved for.... spoke to Meredith the office manager she literally said to me you said something to my receptionist that I don't like and I don't care what u are going through and u need to speak to someone else... She acted like she owned the place in didn't care about losing her job...just be aware that this office and their terrible customer service and they treat their ACTUAL clients like crap...

I turned to David Allen when applying for Social Security Disability. It starts with an interview and continue with a case worker to keep in touch with. Everyone that I talked to was very nice. It gave me comfort to know I was working with knowledge people handling my case. My experience was an awesome one and I highly recommend David Allen.

It was interesting to read the post by Laura W. because I so agree with part of her statement as it pertains to Jonathan Hendricks and the overall experience. I agree more with Aparna J. and Wayne S. I never met Mr. Hendricks and only spoke with him once and he was a little different. I unfortunately walked into David Allen & Associates about 10 years ago. I had been denied SSDI twice and needed assistance. My mother accompanied me and I brought ALL needed paperwork. One of the documents I brought were my stubs regarding monies received from State Disability Insurance (SDI). I won my case

Almost lost my case because they didn't send all my medical records to the court, I basically won my own case by getting my own personal records and paying for them also, this place always was losing my records and not responding to emails or phone calls, these Attorneys are old and tired and no longer take pride in their business. I know other people who have had worse problems with them and said that they are fileing complaints with the Bar Association.

Based on a family friend's recommendation, we went with David Allen & Associates to appeal my husband's Social Security Disability decision. With Jonathan Hendricks as our lawyer, we won. Jonathan is a bit of an odd character, but he was compassionate, and he got the job done, so that's what matters.
Overall, the experience was fine. My complaint would be with record keeping.
