Nothing like coming home from a day of filming to be almost driven off the road by a reckless van driver. Do not support business that can potentially kill you.

My very first experience with them.....WOW!!
I was on the 118fwy this morning, I had just merged over into the lane (with my blinker on) and the guy driving the delivery van for this company honks at me as I am already in the lane. I proceeded down the 118fwy he speeds to catch up to me as her merges into the 405 south he honks a gives me the bird. WOW what great customer service.

I don't understand why he felt or feels that did something to him. There is not season for rudeness and driving recklessly, obviously he needs a safety training course in driving.

Good Luck!

Your delivery driver in a van with licence plate 52716D2 was tailgating me then tried to fight me for keeping the speed limit. He tried to drive a different way but saw him parked in front of Habitat.

I've tried this bakery a few times at different locations where they had their booth setup waiting 3 yrs, but I'm not impress! The bread and pastries were too dry.

THIS IS A PRIVATE PLACE NOT ACCESSIBLE TO THE PUBLIC. there is no cafe portion of this bakery, it is catered delivery only. Wish this was clarified before we drive over here and circled the building

Three times I bought France Bakery products at Habitat Coffee House in Glassell Park. First was a turkey & cheese croissant, and there was hardly any turkey or cheese in it. Probably a fluke, I thought. This morning I got a ham & cheese croissant. Same thing: tiny piece of ham, barely any cheese. I gave it one more shot another day and I ordered a turkey and cheese croissant again. Almost no meat or cheese in it at all. I asked an employee about this and the employee said, "Yeah, they're all like that, sorry." :( Come on, France Bakery!

Im not hating on this place, just the 6 ft short tempered bald hispanic morning delivery driver that punched and broke my side mirror during his route, the company name is on the van smart guy...

They are not opened to public, at least not in the LA location. Wish I could have tried their pastries

Rye-pumpernickel swirl is awesome. Sure, the sweets are fine, but the bread is fresh and delicious.

These is the real deal, people. Authentic, fresh, delicious breads and pastries, like baked goodies should taste like. You can find Gerard at a couple of farmers markets that I frequent, in Montrose and in Sunland. You will never go anywhere else once you taste their baked goodies. :)
They are also in Encino on Sunday's and La Canada on Saturdays!

Tasty baked goods and out of all places I came across their stand in Oceanside, almost two hours away from LA.
Service was lacking, no smile, not very friendly but the chocolate almond croissant was pretty darn good.
Filled with custard and tons of chocolate chips, it was a decadent and filling treat, worth coming back and trying something else next time.
Sure hope they send someone else out next time, just not as pleasant buying something from someone who is obviously not into being there.

HEADS UP TO LOCAL FOLK - this isn't open to the public. If you have visions (like I did) of picking up a loaf of fresh baked bread from a local bakery (that has glowing yelp reviews), think again. Like a dummy, I walked there. (it's a little over a mile away) Imagine my disappointment when I found there's no storefront. Sure there's a pretty hand painted sign that says France BAKERY but when you open the big metal door, it opens to an industrial kitchen. I rang the bell a few times, hoping that maybe they'd sell me a loaf but either the doorbell isn't working or

I asked the barista which bakery brought the amazing blueberry muffins into Undergrind (my favorite coffeeshop) each day. When she said "France", I had to look them up on Yelp and send some praise their way. Delicious!

Found France Bakery in Bakersfield of all places. Not Los Angeles. They have a stand at the Brimhall Farmers Market on Saturdays.

When I saw their display case of goodies, I had to buy some! The danishes were $3.50 each or 3 for $10. Of course, the sweet tooth in me said buy 3! So I did.

Blueberry danish tasted good. Nice ratio of blueberries to danish dough. (3.5 stars)

Almond Croissant was large and yummy. Well, that is what I heard anyways. My wife ate it all, and she did not even share! She said that the croissant tasted really good, and the almond paste was not overpowering

My co-worker came in today with a sample of these goodies, and I have to say... I'm a fan.

The samples included: Squaw Bread, French Baguette, Sourdough Bread, Almond Croissants, Chocolate Croissants, Danish Pastries, Scones, and Muffins.

I wasn't a fan of their sourdough, chocolate scone, roasted hazelnut with raisin rustic loaf, or the egg bread, which although deliciously sweet, was a bit dry.

However, I devoured their squaw (kindda like that brown bread in the basket that you get at the Cheesecake Factory). Their traditional baguette is primo, moist on the inside and crispy on
