The bread is good and always fresh! I recommend the elotes. They usually run out of bread which is good since it lets you know they bake fresh.
The best part is the aesthetic. It feels like 90s Tijuana club vibe. Would be nice if they allowed you to sit in there and eat. Some good coffee and good bread

Update Dec 21 2021 - You can now go inside, get a tray, and pick out your own bread. They did a really nice job putting up an enclosure so the cashier has to buzz you in depending on how busy it is. They get +1 star.
Update Dec 2021 - Conchitas were good this time around, fresh and warm. They are now .40 cents each and you don't have to buy them pre-packaged, you can buy single ones. The bread selection was disappointing this time, and this was a weekday before 7pm so I'm not sure what the deal is.
update: Nov 2020 - they sell Conchita that are couple days old... One day old I can maybe understand

Best bakery in Los Angeles.
My family and I have been coming to this family owned bakery in Boyle heights for as long as I can remember. Even before I was born, my family was coming here.
Their conchitas are bomb, especially when they come out fresh and hot. Friendly staff, helpful, caring and it's family owned which is awesome.
We got our Rosca de Reyes here last night and it was so good.
Highly recommended this spot to everyone in Los Angeles. They accept cash and card.

Some of the worst customer service ever. Was given the runaround as to when their specialty bread would be ready and made to wait 3 hours. They were unphased by their rude behavior, as of it was routine behavior at this locale. They are overrated, Morelos is much better down the street on Cesar Chavez with actual respect for the customer. BTW not one employee, including the manager, apologized for the inconvenience after eaitimg for over 3 hours, including almost an hour at the actual bakery. Skip this place and go to the other.

The bread here is really good, always fresh. But, they seem to run out fast (probably cause it IS good lol)
Side note: I notice the pricing is very inconsistent, for example I buy a bag full of bread one day, and the next week I buy the exact same thing but end up paying a different price. Not sure what's up with that? Also, gotten some attitude from one of the cashiers, I understand what it is dealing with customer service so I'll let that pass.
Overall really good bread, so guess that makes up for it.

I came here recently for the first time based on a recommendation and I was not disappointed. They truly make quality pan dulce; lots of variety, too! My family was very satisfied with what I bought--everything was delicious! I like the fact that, due to the pandemic, they have all the bread behind plexiglass. You just tell them what kind you want, and they bag it all for you. They are located on a busy street, but I managed to get parallel parking right in front of the bakery at around 7:30 A.M. on a weekday.

It used to be the best bread ever tasted in town. Since the pandemic started till now. They have increased the price. The small conchitas were place in a plastic lids will charge you 5 dollars for only 6. Before they used to sell them 3 for 1 dollar. Another thing is they have variety since the pandemic.

This bakery is in the heart of Boyle Heights, it's glamour and cultural appearance is small yet appealing. La Favorita has been open during covid-19 with a lot of safety precautions put into place. There could only be one customer inside and a line starts too form along side the bakery on the outside. La Favorita specializes in there Pan Dulce. A traditional Latin bread well made by this bakery. My whole life this has been my go-to spot. Going around 7pm makes it worth the wait as you get too take home pan dolce freshly made warm and crunchy with a delicious taste of cinnamon. This is definitely

Came to buy a Rosca de Reyes for work.
Place is clean and big, and they have a wide selection of sweet Mexican bread. We picked up our order for work and we took our Rosca de Reyes to cut and share with coworkers. To our surprise there were no baby Jesus in the Rosca. We didn't know if they were on a separate bag for us to insert so we called, the lady that answered said they were baked in and 6 baby Jesus should be found. Well we found none! No biggie we got a few laughs.
Bread was soft and good. Will definitely be coming here again.
Parking is street parking only.

The bread is okay. The cashier's attitude with female clients is BAD. Now if it's a guy, the attitude changes right away. I have had my bread tossed in the bags while with guys they are super friendly.
El pan esta bien. Las cajeras son muy amargadas y groseras con las mujeres pero a los hombres hasta su número de teléfono les dan. FACT....

I've been coming to this Bakery for a long time. The bread variety is fantastic and the best part is that the quality of the bread hasn't changed in the past 15 years. The price has gone up but everything has gone up in 15 years. The "Mini Conchitas" are amazing!!! They taste much better when you eat them hot. In the afternoon, they start coming out (warm) around 4 PM.

Delicious traditional style panaderia. The prices were nuts- I felt like I was watching them get robbed- every customer I saw (5-7 in 10 mins) had a giant box full and they paid less than $10 everytime! They have all your favorites and even something french for your uppity cousins who don't like pan anymore. Venganse!
