The Forest is a nice property. It's in a great location (accessible to stores/shops/metro/bus/highways) and is small and quaint. I enjoy the greenery and access to Rock Creek Park and areas of hiking. The buildings are noticeably older/worn. The crew puts in efforts to care for the grounds and keeps the community very nice.

Good luck finding a parking spot if your household has more than one vehicle. Residents get towed while broken down cars and cars without parking passes consume the necessary parking we pay for. After the recent snowfall, it was obvious watching the snow slowly melt off of vehicles that haven't moved in weeks or more. No parking passes (not even old ones) and some are missing license plates. Management's solution has been telling us to park somewhere outside of the community. When Rockville declares a snow emergency, vehicles are not permitted to be parked on the road, even neighborhood roads.

Property Manager is super rude. During covid we were threatened w being sued for paying rent late when we explained multiple times that we were on unemployment. By 6-7pm parking is completely full so you pay 1800-2600 just so you can park in a neighborhood outside of your apartment. They even have totaled cars taking up multiple parking spaces. Trash all of the parking lot. There is roaches in all the apartments. The only good thing is you can have an aggressive dog which there are multiple aggressive dogs around.

STAY AWAY unless you're looking for a noisy, litter-filled, constantly-changing tenant base who don't care where they live as long as Section 8 is paying for it. I had to pay full rent ($1800+) for a 2-bedroom unit overlooking the dog park they never tell you is right under your window (if you're in the 2006-D or 2008-E buildings). Most of the time, day and night for the hellish year I lived there, I had to wear EARPLUGS to block out the incessant door-slamming, Bamma-yelling, children playing in hallways. Don't waste your time or money on this dump.

I have never had a worse rental experience then at the Forest Apartments in Rockville, MD. I recently locked myself out of my apartment and they refused to help me. They had the keys to get back into my apartment, but instead, left my 6 year son and I out in the cold and insisted I call a locksmith.
On top of that, they threatened their employee with termination if he helped me, which would only have required having him come to the apartment and using the key he already had to let me back in. the policy used to be that the locked out tenant would have to pay $50 to be let back in and I would have
