Tucked away on the side of a great limestone ridge on historic land in the quaint town of Marlboro, NY is the premium estate winery Stoutridge Vineyard. Situated a mere 70 miles from the heart of Manhattan and 80 miles from the state capitol in Albany, we are the epicenter of Hudson Valley wine country.

The farmhouse at Stoutridge Vineyard dates back to the mid 1800's and was built by pioneering Italian immigrants. Though the builder's name is lost to time, we do know that at some point, perhaps due to the disruption of the American Civil War, the farm became a part of the historic 80+ acre McCourt fruit farm.

Don't let the color of the wine fool you, this is not a simple sweet wine. This is a dry, freshly herbal, nutty, and richly fruity wine with surprising depth and complexity. Pair with salmon, tuna, or even a fresh goat cheese salad. Great ice cold on its own before dinner, or sip while barbecuing. Unfiltered and unfined.
Fresh and clean lemon and juniper melded with 5 other botanicals in this classically flavored gin. Made from our 36 times distilled Vodka, it is incomparably smooth with well-defined flavors. Make your best gin and tonic yet with this spirit named best spirit at the 2019 Hudson Valley Wine & Spirits competition.
75% Rye, 15% Corn, 10% Barley Malt, 100% Hudson Valley grown grains and aged in 30-gallon barrels made from Hudson Valley grown oak. This straight rye whiskey is aged 2.5 years in new Hudson Valley oak barrels and meets the internationally recognized standards for this New York Rye Whiskey style. It is aged further in a 5000-liter solera barrel previously containing Barolo wine in Piedmont, Italy.

In short, the wine I bought (in Sept 2021) , a 2011 Rose, was terrible. One sip when I tried it at home and the whole bottle went down the drain. Being a wine professional, I suspected as much (because of its age and cloudy appearance) but I gave the winery the benefit of a doubt and bought it anyway. Not one of the many other wines they had for sale was from a vintage later than 2012. That is kind of a red flag đźš© to me. Perhaps they gave up making wine years ago and were just selling out old inventory ( just a guess on my part). I was told, by the (uninspiring) sales lady, that they only did

BEAUTIFUL setting....the wines are, for lack of a better term, ordinary. I do admire how they are handling the Covid-19 situation. If you are there for a tasting, you'll get a cute little white box with 5 prepackaged little wines that are numbered and you choose one of an assortment of snacks. Complimentary wine glass is included. Reservations required. My guess is that they are more renowned for their spirits, rather than the wines they offer.

Beautiful vineyard, lovely grounds with pond, waterfall & picnic tables. Impressive selection of wine & spirits all produced on site. We did the wine tasting, I enjoyed the dryer reds but they also make a nice Reisiling. Lovely place to spend a few hours to sit & sip.

This was our second time here and it was really disappointing compared to the last. Staff was not friendly, tried to make small talk and the cashier cut me off while talking. Seemed annoyed when we arrived… The tastings were $20 and 1/2 of them were in the bottom of the box. No need for the to go boxes/containers because they aren’t efficient nor needed with covid being more under control. The wine spills EVERYWHERE. Also it came with extremely stale crackers which grossed me out because they have to be super old. Won’t be back here which is a bummer because the first time was so pleasant

One of the most unique winery experiences I've had! The wine is unlike anywhere else... ask Steve for a rundown and your mind will be blown! Can't wait to go back so I can try their spirits, too!

We were so excited to experience this place, having done tastings throughout the world. However, it was sadly disappointing.
The grounds, with their ponds and water ways are beautiful. We had a nice picnick under a shad tree near one of the ponds (lots of geese)
The wine and spirits were mostly unpalatable.

I didn’t really enjoy the wine flights (which is all I tried..I didn’t try anything else maybe next time). To me they all were SOMEWHAT similar even with the different notes and flavors. There wasn’t a lot of interaction with the staff as it was just to go and we could sit outside and the wine flights are prepackaged in small containers to pour into a small (cute) wine glass you keep. What made this experience better was the food truck they had there for the day! It was delicious! They also have a really nice green space. Maybe I’ll come back to try again.

It’s a beautiful place for where it is located. Online it says reservations are required but you don’t really need them. They give you a box that comes with a snack of your choice and a survivor wine glass & it’s pre-filled with about 5 samples of wine. Personally we didn’t enjoy the experience. We understand with covid things are different but the website made it seem so much more than it really was. The wines we tasted just kepted getting worse with each one we took. The greeting when arriving wasn’t the greatest either. Our experience overall wasn’t well and we’ve been to a few

Came to this winery as a surprise treat from my hubby for our anniversary.
Of course we know things are different and we try to stay as safe as possible and Stoutridge made this possible.
Steve did a BOMB job on his educational wine tasting. We really felt like we left with more than a bottle of wine and great flavors. The experience was truly enriching and pretty cool to know more about this winery. This guy is a genius of a chemist and does it ALL.
All wines are unaltered and as raw as it gets. Pretty cool and you can only buy these HERE. Even more exclusive. My favorite part is being able

Unique selection of wine. The owner is very passionate about his wine making. He does not use any chemicals or additives that are found in most wines. His aging process takes years and his wine can only be purchased here. If you are interested in the science and history of wine making, this is the place for you. The landscape surrounding the historic building is also beautiful.
