Upper Valley Yoga
Our instructors are highly trained and skilled in a variety of Hatha Yoga traditions. The word Hatha means a balance of opposite forces in the body and is usually used as an umbrella term that refers to any style of yoga that focuses on Asana or physical postures. At Upper Valley Yoga we honor the ancient origins of the yoga practice while at the same time building a meaningful framework for doing the practice today.

We work hard in the practice on the mat so we may meet the demands of the rest of life with integrity, honesty, and compassion for ourselves and others.
Services
I have been practicing at Upper Valley Yoga since 2005. I have found safe, effective instructors here for all the phases of life and interest I have gone through since then. There is a wide range of class approaches and opportunities, from beginner to immersive and everything in between. I always recommend Upper Valley Yoga to friends, and tell them to explore all the teachers, they are sure to find the right approach for them.

Had a great 90’ vinyasa class with Camille this morning. A beautiful space and lots of mats, blocks, blankets, straps for a traveler/visitor like myself!

This is a fabulous place: great location in funky downtown White River, lovely space with hardwood floors and natural light, talented instructors who make people feel welcome regardless of ability level, and a very down to earth bunch of fellow yogis.

Attended the Christmas Eve class today that raises money for Haven. I am an out-of-towner that travels to the area once a year or so. I found UVY's schedule and the event fit right into my schedule. The studio is good sized with nice wood floors, and for this event it was PACKED. I don't think we could have gotten another mat on the floor. The instructor (Sherry, I think) was warm and welcoming when I hit the door. Loaner mats and other equipment were available. The instruction was top-notch. The session was 90 minutes which normally would run a $16 drop-in rate (there are punch cards
