Betty and the whole team outdid themselves for my sons 1st birthday. Communication via email was seamless from the start. I was able to customize things how I wanted. I got a yellow butter cake with buttercream frosting as well as birthday cake and chocolate flavor cupcakes with buttercream frosting. We left them out at room temperature before serving and everything was a huge hit. Highly recommend this small business!

Checked this place out when asking about local bakeries. I heard that they were good. So we made the little drive. Neither of us were impressed.
Ordered a few things. Six cookies, two 'bars' and a birthday cake cupcake. Didn't question the price until after we were handed the tiny box. The best way to describe it is 'child size dessert portions'. For the price, we didn't think everything would be so small. The pictures are definitely deceiving.
Chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies were nothing to rave about. The peanut butter/jelly one was good. (If anything, go for that one.) The Bailey

I’ve been happy with this bakery ever since they opened in Fishtown. This is my “go to” bakery for special occasions and when I feel like a cupcake. Our family loves the cupcakes. They are always fresh and moist.

Your place is amazing. ANYONE who 1 stared this has no life. They clearly just thrive on attention they get from giving bad google/yelp reviews, and have NOTHING better to do. I don't know how someone could give such a low rating, or try and tarnish a wonderful shops reputation over something so trivial. Such a waste of everyone's time and energy. Truly disrespectful to your neighborhood shop, and all who work there. People shouldn't need instructions about how/when to eat cake and sweet treats, it's common sense. I don't know how to reply on your response, so I am editing my review. First of all, thanks for the message, but I want to correct some of your misunderstanding about the time line.
I ate all three pieces of your products within 12 hours after purchasing them directly from your shop, especially I ate one bar within a couple of hours after purchasing it. I just want to let you know the fact, and feel necessary that my review readers need to know the fact of the time line clearly.

Got vegan pina colada, chocolate hostess cupcakes and oatmeal raisin cookies for my daughter's birthday. The chocolate hostess cupcake were delicious and so were the cookies!! However I did not try the Pina colada cupcakes.. I gave four stars because the service and quality was great!! Overall, I did not put five stars because the cupcakes were lacking in size.. I thought they would be bigger. Good place to go for a quick and small snack!!

So I was looking for a last minute cupcake for my daughters 8th birthday and I found this bake shop on google. I stopped in for over the counter service and was not disappointed. Delicious cookies, parfait, and apple pie bar. The staff were very friendly. My sister is gluten free and had plenty to choose from.
Currently the smallest bakery in Philadelphia!
