Crust is located in Northwest Philadelphia, in the neighborhood of Manayunk. Tucked away down a small side street, our little kitchen is where every item is mixed, scooped, baked and frosted by hand. We value high quality ingredients and strive to purchase local products when possible to support other small businesses & local makers as well.

Services
Crust is here with treats for all of your treat needs - big or small! We take orders for most items in 1 dozen minimums. We need 48 hours advance notice to guarantee an order, but can sometimes accommodate an order on shorter notice. Pickups are from our storefront in Manayunk, located at 4409 Main Street during our hours of operation, 8am - 7pm Wednesday - Sunday.
Women owned and operated, Crust got its start thanks to the encouragement of many mutual friends, repeatedly telling Shannon and Meagan they had to meet. After two hours of talking over coffee & tea and getting kicked out of a closing coffee shop, the rest was history. Like a really great first date, they just clicked from the start.
A large part of our mission at Crust (other than making delicious vegan sweets for people to enjoy every day) is to make sure we are giving back to our community in a diverse and impactful way. We believe in transparency to our customers as to where a portion of the money that they are spending with us is going in the form of donations.
All orders are taken at the counter during the hours we are open, in a first come first serve fashion. Three customers are allowed in the storefront at a time. Masks are required at all times. There is no indoor seating and no one is permitted to eat or drink inside. For preorders for catering events and cakes visit our Catering and Cake pages!
Each cake comes with a piped message of your choice free of charge, this is NOT considered a custom design. Please include your specific message to be piped on the cake in the "notes" section when ordering, if you do not your cake will have no message and we cannot pipe anything onto the cake at the time of pickup.

After lunch we went across the street to Crust, a Vegan bakery across the street with strict covid-safety standards. Huge plexiglass at the front counter, only 3 customers allowed in at a time and you must wear a mask. We got the peanut butter chocolate pretzel brownie and 2 different kinds of chocolate chip cookie sandwiches. We took these home and all were mucho delicioso!

I popped over here after a hike around the Wissahickon and was thoroughly pleased with my choice. I got the oatmeal cookie sandwich, which tastes like a slightly sweeter oatmeal creme pie, but obviously vegan. It was more expensive than I was hoping to pay, but as a once in a while treat, totally reasonable. I wish they had hot coffee to go with their baked goods, but I get it.

Crust is the absolute best!! Hands down the most amazing baked goods - both in taste and appearance!! They are always coming up with new creations and flavors of treats, it’s exciting to go and see what they have! The staff is always kind and helpful, and the business is ethical and treats it’s employees well!! We need more local businesses like this!!!

I bought a gift card to support them when they were closed due to covid and recently went in to the storefront in manayunk to use it. AWESOME vegan bakery!! They have a great selection - I recommend getting a variety of treats ~ a few of my personal favorites (compost cookie, the peanut butter jelly bar - this was a recommendation from the cashier and I’m obsessed with them, funfetti bun, soft frosted cookie, their cheesecakes are so good!... the list goes on!) I also love that they stock other vegan goods - I’ve purchased conscious cultures cheese here, another great item to try.

BEWARE FROZEN BAKERY possibly!
What a unfortunate experience. Due to a miss communication error on the website.
My fiancé thought he booked a taste tasting appointment. We showed up and the cake was already done. Mind you our party was 2 weeks out. The owner Meg had the audacity to say " freeze the cake" . She didn't offer any compensation to make things right . Not even a discount off a new cake.
So just keep in mind if she recommended us to freeze our engagement party cake, I can only imagine the old frozen items she sells, possibly

While visiting my friend in Manayunk I stopped into this adorable bakery. I got the french toast cake and it was out of this world. My friend got the peanut butter cookie and the brownie and those were also both delicious. I could not even tell that any of this was vegan - it's that good! The service was also so, so friendly. Can't recommend this place enough.

I drove 5 miles to this bakery for vegan cheese cake. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. One slice of strawberry cheese cake was $5.50, an amount I am gladly willing to pay for a delicious dessert but unfortunately, this tiny slice of cake did not live up to the price! The cake had a sweet strawberry jelly type glaze with "0" strawberries on top. Made from tofu, the "cheese cake" part of the dessert had no cheese taste at all. To say it was the texture of cheesecake is a stretch. The only comparable taste to cheese cake was the sweetness. (Maybe my palate has been spoiled

Absolutely delicious and prices are a steal compared to a certain (psssst still delicious) other vegan bakery in Center City. My roommate actually introduced me to this bakery and though I don't have dietary restrictions, I do have an insane sweet tooth. After a gruesome exam, we decided to treat ourselves to a wide variety of pastries. The best thing is that this bakery is locally-owned and they also support other local businesses!
+PARKING: Street only, but not horrible compared to Center City. This part of Manayunk does get very very busy on the weekends.

Crust is in the heart of downtown Manayunk, in prime location with the nicest employees. My boyfriend and I were ecstatic to come try it since I have a gluten and dairy allergy. Of course, an afternoon treat turned into buying multiple cookies and brownies. The staff was extremely helpful in walking us through the ingredients of each item, as well as just being super friendly and welcoming us into the shop. Might have to Uber from downtown Philly back to Manayunk just for these baked goods. Seriously - go try it :)

I first discovered them through a friend and decided to do a wedding cake tasting with them. We were blown away and made sure to order cookie trays as well. Now with their storefront, we will drive the distance just to get as much as we can and share with non-vegan friends and family. EVERYONE LOVES THEM! I’ve had the most adorable pet portrait for my 30th birthday and they did an excellent job with my mom’s 60th cake with homemade peanut butter cups. We haven’t found a single item we didn’t like, made by a team that truly cares about the community! I can’t recommend crust enough!!!

Delicious is an understatement. Crust Vegan Bakery has the best fresh pastries and baked goods.
Back in May (4 months ago) we had an opportunity to try their cinnamon buns and cosmic brownies and ever since then we have been hooked. Last weekend when we heard they were opening a store front down the street from our house we marked off our calendars and counted down the days!
