My husband and I have been making payments for a year on our system that we don't have yet. We can't even get a straight answer about what is taking so long with the permit. My husband called the permit office and they said that it was canceled. He has tried to talk to Scott about it and still no resolution. They keep offering to send money to off set our electric bill, but we had to claim on taxes. We just want our pv system installed.

I have been using Mercury solar for years. They started great, but as of 2021, they are self destructing. They do not return my calls or deal with my warranty problems. They have been overwhelmed, while a few of their employees have quit. I visited their office and it is a disaster area with files and equipment everywhere, almost as if they were about to move, but that's the way it's been for a long time.

I've tried for well over a month to have them contact me in regards to warranty for my 120V inverter that has been bypassed for over a year. The only status I've received is that they're working with the vendor for a warranty replacement. My 240V inverter is probably being overworked now because I'm woken up in the dark twice in the past week. Have they gone out of business due to the COVID-19 pandemic? I just want a phone call but they don't take the time to do that. Why I keep giving them good reviews I don't know. I won't be doing that much longer that's for sure.

I also give zero stars. They have consistently ignored my property managers' and my phone calls, emails, and messages left at the front desk, to have them conduct repairs that are covered by the warranty (on PV panels they installed).
At one point, the main supervisor Rico said he "cannot afford to do non-income producing work right now." I understand businesses can get weighed down, but they have been dragging their feet on this for a whole year now, and I've heard every excuse in the book.
If you're looking for reliable PV/Solar contractors, I do NOT recommend these guys.

Mercury solar is a great solar company! Their customer service is responsive. Their pricing is extremely competitive and their products are proven to last. After calling other more "well known" companies, I got a quote for a battery back- up system from Mercury. The people were prompt, friendly and the price was literally thousands less than all other competitors. I also have a solar pv system that Mercury installed over 5 years ago that is still going strong! Why go anywhere else when Mercury has the best of all worlds. Were they perfect? No. Of course not. What company is perfect?

We recently had Mercury Solar install nine additional PV panels at our home, in addition to the existing Net Metering system which they installed on our roof several years ago. They got it done in a short period of time before the end of the year, as we required.

After the technician Adam left the company, it appears the company can no longer provide post sale service. I purchased a lot of solar panels from this company, however, after few months, I noticed my electricity bill went extremely high. My guts tell me something must have gone wrong with those solar panels. I called since last September and so far no one came. They don't even bother to just check. The scheduler Winnie kept telling me there is no one available. This is unbelievable! Once panels are sold, no service anymore even they said at least one year warranty for repair but I guess

My experience with Mercury Solar was not as pleasant as advertised. The salesman was clearly good at his job; they oversold a product with average quality and below average customer service.
Their financing offers are misleading and complex. The state and federal tax credits they claimed would make this installation affordable never materialized. Thus, I was stuck with a bill nearly twice as expensive as originally quoted.
I was promised installation of my backup battery system in January of 2017. It is now June, and I have yet to see any batteries or even have my panels wired into the grid

We first were introduced to Mercury Solar in 2010 through friends for installation of solar PV panels. Because of finances, at that time we chose to install only 20 Panels instead of a recommended 41. The paperwork process by Mike, the sales person representing Mercury Solar was very efficient. The process of getting the HECO permit done at that time was a little more arduous but we got the whole thing set up for Net metering by early 2011. When solar was first starting to pop up everywhere, we couldn't it afford it because most companies wanted payment up front.
But Mercury Solarvmade it very easy for us to afford PV system. Boy was it worth it.
The company had great reviews and is one of the leaders in solar installation in Hawaii.
