Yes we can customize a system that will zero out your bill. You will still pay a connection fee to HECO that ranges from $14 to $20 a month. This fee allows you to be tied to HECO's grid. The team at HI POWER Solar have been awesome. Great experience and overall ended up getting a 8.1 KW PV System with a string inverter and whole home backup battery. The final process is still taking place due to timing from HECO but the team at HI POWER has been helpful the entire time.
Lisa from sales was very responsive and came back with answers and adjustments to the PV System buildout that I was looking at. She probably sent me around 5 quotes as I was doing my own comparing of the various hardware to choose from.

So we needed help with our PV system. I've gone back and forth for 3 years with Tesla on my PV system and it's issues not being efficient.
I contacted Cynthia from Hi Power Solar just to see if I could get some help...In 5 minutes she answered and explained why my system wasn't working as efficient as it should then gave me a solution on how to fix it.
They also redid my solar water heater system, which they did an excellent job doing.
This company and its workers are very professional and do excellent work in a very timely manner.

The sales people were good, installers good. We believed all was good. But from the beginning only half our system worked. Tech came and went and still nothing. Hi Power says parts are coming from Maui! It's been 4 months, only half our system works. At least HI Power was paid in full. Perhaps we are the ones that fell thru the cracks. Wish we could be those people who gave 5 stars! This by far is the most expensive 1 star!!!!

We started the process to get solar panels for our home and this team was the A-team!! On both days of installation, they were prompt coming at 8 am, very friendly, informative, and, had excellent communication, and helpful. Wrote my review for bad service 11 months ago and acknowledged I was getting bad service from solar companies. All of a sudden I get a response from this company tonight via Yelp saying I need to take ginko for my bad memory.. ok maybe someone's kickin' back and decided to give up on their solar business? Now going into stalking? Or maybe reverting back to grade school, either way my advice would be to stay away. Try to find a professional company.

I worked with Cynthia, she was very personable and accommodating to what I wanted. Requested new AC installation, she came out to assess and gave great recommendations with information. Explained all my options, worked it out with me, and very satisfied with the result! Geoff was a great project coordinator as well. Mike from 808 Air Conditioning installed the AC with professionalism and clean work.

I contacted Hi-Power Solar back in late November 2020 in regards to installing a Tesla wall charger, additional PV panels, and batteries. We were greeted by Bill from sales and was extremely knowledgeable with all the products, answering any question we had. Communication with him and the project coordinator Geoff was extremely easy. They kept us up-to-date regarding our project every step of the way, even until the day of installation.

Ron and Company installed my PV system 10 years ago. The installation, system performance and service have all been wonderful. Just had a pretty complex problem worked on by Joe, Makana and Suki and they persisted until they solved it. And, like Ron's entire team, they were friendly, careful of your property and just great guys. And, Evelyn, the coordinator of all their service, is fantastic to work with. Installation of 4 ACs were completed over 2 days. The crew was nice and cleaned up around installation areas. There were a couple issues after installation, but the service team was able to come out and address them.
Even after the installation, Cynthia checked in on us to see how things were going.
The BEST thing is the savings. We had an older (maybe 15 years) unit that was struggling to work, and one window unit. First two bills after installation were $70 and $100 less than before we got the split units. Great savings!

My AC shut off, I never realized there was a separate breaker next to the AC. Nick showed up, took about two minutes to open and flip the breaker and charged me $350for it. Gave me an estimate of $1250 to change the breaker.
Cannon electric just came and actually fixed it for half of his estimate. $250 and done.
Terrible when a company will take advantage of a customer.
