Whether it's a steak dinner, Irish fare, sandwiches, appetizers or any other menu choice you'll get good food, good portions at a good price at O'Rorke's pub and eatery. If you're just looking for a drink and conversation there's a good selection of draft and bottled beers, specialty and mixed drinks as well as non-alcoholic beverages.
The establishment is often frequented by reenactors and local characters who add to the friendly pub ambiance. Most regulars are very knowledgeable about American and local history, especially the Civil War and are more than happy to share their knowledge when asked. Named for a Civil War hero, this bar & grill offers Irish & American pub fare in a bi-level setting.

Delish! We stopped here for a quick bite to eat, not wanting too much since he knew we had dinner reservations coming up soon, But also didn't want to starve until then. Wife and I settled on splitting the authentic shepherd's pie And the waitress was so nice and thoughtful as to have them split it into two separate individual cups for us without us even asking. It was the perfect serving size for us and amazingly delicious. We also got a side of the corn fritters and they were very good as well. In the perfect location for a lunch while browsing the shops downtown.

The food was good. They definitely use fresh crab meat here, no doubt about that! Because I found a piece of shell in my crab dip. I wasn’t too bothered by it because it showed that they are using fresh real crab meat. I’m just glad I didn’t chip a tooth.
Try their Sheppards Pie. It is authentic and very savory. Pair it with the extra Champ (mashed potatoes with butter and fresh scallions) on the side because you don’t get nearly enough mash with the pie.
We also ordered the fresh kettle cooked chips, they came out warm so they were freshly deep fried to order. Fresh cooked chips. I was

This restaurant bar in a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They make sure that you have everything you need. The food is stellar and atmosphere great. Very family oriented business, the staff treat you like your part of the family after just a few visits. I would highly recommend going to this great restaurant.

First of all, we were ELATED that we found a restaurant that wasn't a chain, and they seated us without a wait. On a Tuesday, all of our typical haunts were either replaced (Avenue Diner is now a noodle place), closed on a Tuesday? (The Pub, The Blue and Grey, Appalachian Brew, hotel restaurant) or had an enormous wait (Dobbin house Tavern)
Erika was our server. Friendly, prompt, attentive, energetic. Everything good in a waitress. And she never asked us questions with our mouths full. She had a ton of tables, but based on our service, we would have never known.
So, they could have fed

We ate here for dinner on the 3rd of July. While we found the setting and atmosphere of the restaurant wonderful and historic, it's right off of the historic Baltimore Street, right in the heart of old Gettysburg and they accommodated pets (we had our dog with us and they gave us a nice iced cold bowl of water and a "dog menu") our food came out a little cold.
We enjoyed the outdoor seating, and really like the Guinness Cheese Dip.
Very Dog friendly, we will go back and try it again on a less busy day!

Really enjoyed this Irish pub as we were passing through Gettysburg, PA. Typical pub, wirh pub style food.
We ordered the loaded Buffalo fries as an appetizer. It was so good that we ate the whole thing! The fries are shaped like discs and the appetizer we order had pulled pork and melted cheese. Only giving it an 8 for this dish bc the bbq sauce tasted store bought but it was still good nonetheless. 8/10.
I ordered the Chesapeake chicken sandwich. Grilled chicken with their hot crab dip and lettuce and tomato. Really good! 9/10 on that one.
My partner ordered the prime rib and it was HUUUGE

We're not far from Gettysburg, so we decided to do a day trip to the outlets and tour the battlefield. After doing a google search, we looked for the restaurants that had the best reviews. I was so hopeful for some authentic Irish food. Well, this place, is certainly not it. I orders bangers and mash which was "ok" in a sense if you want middle of the night diner garbage. The mashed potatoes were absolutely not homemade. The sausage was cooked well but it was pretty bland. Absolutely NOT worth $15.99.
We got the shepherds pie potato skins and they were so unbelievably greasy it

We were there Friday Eve and loved this quaint bar/restaurant. We ordered the guinness cheese dip as an appetizer and it was so rich and served with yummy toast. We also had the Shepherd's Pie. It was delicious and satisfying. Could have used a tad more cheese on top but still great! Loved how cute and comfy it was here. Will stop again!

We've been eating at O'Rorkes for over five years and this is our first disappointing experience. Six of us met for lunch: two came from the York area (45 minute drive) and four of us came from West Virginia (1 1/2 hour drive). Due to Covid, a few of their better menu choices were not available, like the Irish Nachos (they couldn't get nachos) and their Shepherds Pie. There weren't many people there but we saw only one waitress and she was efficient and pleasant.

Pulled pork sandwich was good with coleslaw on a warm and soft brioche bun. The fries tasted like McDonald's fries without the salt and they were great with bbq sauce. We had the house made pretzel sticks with crab dip and cheese on top and it was awesome! Definitely the best part of our meal. My girlfriend wasn't too fond of her salmon with mashed potatoes and green beans but I have nothing to complain about my order.

While in Gettysburg we actually ate here twice. Our first meal was dinner and it was the typical Irish fare. The shepherd pie and the Reuben are always hits with my family. I had the club and the portion was huge. The fried apples are delicious. They have really good beer on tap.
Our second time here we just had appetizers (wings and shepherd pie dip) both delicious forgot to take pictures. The cocktails we ordered were delicious and we had the best service.
If there was anything I didn't like was the crab dip over pretzels. It was just too cheesy. Definitely recommend this place for
