Sometimes it's intimidating trying to find the right kind of yoga class, especially if you're a beginner, have back pain or other body issues. Alyce Life is dedicated to embracing, accommodating, and giving more personal attention to students by keeping class sizes small and providing a safe space to practice yoga in.
By retraining for proper breathing, learning to relax, and gently stretching and strengthening the body we can achieve harmony, balance and calm through this yoga process. Even if you have a more experienced practice, the Level 1-2 yoga for beginners classes are great and are tailored according to the students attending, whether a bit more advanced or keeping it simpler.

Disclaimer: New to the Alameda County area and a first time mom who was looking for prenatal yoga courses.
Instructor: Kind, compassionate, reassuring. I trusted Anandi as I had seen she has worked with Kaiser in the past and was offering zoom courses during the pandemic.
Consult: Didn't know what to expect. She did offer a one-one consult first to practice breathing and what type of poses we would do and/ or have customized throughout the courses.
Course: Enjoyed that the course was more intimate, smaller, which allowed her to point out what positions/ poses were best for individuals who

I started going to Anandi's prenatal yoga class when i was 10 weeks pregnant and it was one of the best decisions that i had made. It helped me stay fit and active and enabled me to have quite an easy pregnancy. Anandi gives a lot of information about the childbirth process and pain management techniques and she even has a partner class where she helps our partner understand how they can participate & help us during labor. Her breathing techniques and pain management tips helped me survive 2days of early labor at home without any intervention.

I have been wanting to stay active during my pregnancy and finally got around to joining a prenatal yoga class. I loved the intimate class size as well as how relaxing and calming the whole experience was! Our class had a variety of pregnant mommies in different stages of their pregnancy and Anandi was great guiding us through it all! I definitely continue to bring the energy from the class into my day. Loved it!

If there's one thing that helped me through my 9 months of pregnancy and labor it will be because of they prenatal yoga class with Anandi! I started from the very beginning of my pregnancy around 12 weeks. We meet 2 days a week for about an hour of session. I enjoyed her class because she shared some helpful tips during labor. The exercises and stretches were very gentle as well. I felt like it gave me endurance and strength during my labor. I also enjoyed the guided mediation at the end of each class - I was able to relax and relieve tension from that day. I would totally recommend this class

I started going to Alyce Life prenatal yoga when I was 14 weeks pregnant, and that was one of the best things I did for my pregnancy. The instructor is amazing. Not only does she walk you through certain asanas that are very beneficial for preparing a woman's body for pregnancy and labor, but she also coaches you on labor and best ways to deal with it. So you leave her classes not only with a stronger body, but also with a stronger mind, which is incredibly important during labor, especially if you're planning to have a natural delivery.

I was so glad that I met Anandi last year as my Yoga teacher at Kaiser and I attended her prenatal yoga sessions. The techniques she teaches are very helpful during the process of pregnancy. How to clam your self, focus on the goals (to deliver a healthy baby) and try to send the positive waves to your mid through the yogic poses are very important which she indeed teaches in the sessions. Her voice was very calm and soothing throughout the session so that you can focus on your exercises. My husband also attended the regular yoga sessions and like the classes. Anandi is very flexible when it comes

I love Anandhi and how she brings spirtuality, love and peace to yoga that she leads. I attend her Saturday classes and absolutely love it! Its my time and come out absolutely energized and set for the weekend! I started with Anandhi 10 years back when I had my first girl and she has been one of my best yoga teacher! For yoga, you need a great teacher and coach. Anandhi is all that and more! :)

I met Anandi first at introductory prenatal yoga classes offered by Kaiser in Hayward. After those few sessions I continued to practice with Anandi at Alyce Life where she continued to provide a warm, welcoming environment. You can tell she really cares about her students and wants them to be prepared to have the best childbirth experience possible. She even let us bring our husbands for a prenatal partner class which was cool. I definitely recommend Anandi at Alyce Life for prenatal yoga!

She does tell lot about childbirth/delivery and how to cope up with different kind of pains during pregnancy. I would highly recommend her yoga classes whoever is in need.

I've been a yoga practitioner for over 16 years. For 15 of those years, I've been a student of Alyce Life (Anandi). Followed her from Kaiser UC.
She is a very patient & knowledgeable teacher. She works with all levels. She is always compassionate with her students.
I have issues w/sciatica and my neck. With her classes, I haven't needed the chiropractor in over 15 years. When my foot was broken, instead of going to PT, I took two months of her gentle classes and was ready for action!
