The western concept of yoga tends to focus primarily on the physical aspects of the practice. Through working with Hillary, you'll recognize that a yoga lifestyle addresses much more than just the outer shell. Exploring all eight limbs of yoga, it is possible to transcend physical boundaries and find a deeper sense of well-being from the inside out.
When we live and breathe the same way we practice on the mat, we promote compassion toward ourselves and the world around us.

When you take a class with me, you will begin with gentle opening stretches to prepare your body to sit comfortably. Once seated, we focus on breath and centering, with a guiding theme or intention for the practice. From slow movements to open the body (seated and on hands and knees), we move to standing postures, often including variations of surya namaskar, or sun salutations.
Curious about yoga but wary of trying a class without an understanding of basic poses? Maybe you've been to some yoga classes but continually ask yourself, "Am I doing this right?" This 3-hour workshop aims to answer all of your questions while providing a basic foundation for your yoga practice.
Through demonstration, verbal instruction and practice, we explore common postures with a focus on alignment, emphasizing safety and stability for your body.Students examine Warrior I, II & III in detail, focusing on alignment, muscular engagement, breath and energy movement. The practice begins with Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) to warm up the body, followed by an interactive exploration of our Warriors.

Hillary is able to wipe out any stressed thougts in the first minute of her yoga class. She does an amazing job and she is a most kind person. To participate in her class is like getting your soul pampered. With a treatment like that you'll be able to accept and embrace the pain of giving birth and it will be a smooth ride! I am thankful that I had the opportunity (unfortunately less with each new baby) to join her class. I tried many and never found anyone like Hillary.

Hillary is amazing! She radiates zen, loving kindness, compassion, and wisdom.
Her classes are challenging, yet gentle. She meets every person in her class exactly where they are at, making you feel seen.
I can't recommend a better yoga instructor, or, indeed, person, than Hillary. If you get a chance to take her class, you'll see for yourself!

I used to go to Hillary's prenatal yoga class 3 years ago.. yes my daughter is 3 now. I don't have enough words to express how amazing I felt during each prenatal class of Hillary's. I am glad that I started going to her class during my 2nd trimester ( I was advised to have bed rest during first trimester).I felt relaxed mentally and physically after every session. Hillary's yoga music collection is awesome.. we had that music played in the background during my labour and it really helped me to divert my mind from labour pain. I will definitely join her classes again in

I loved Hillary's prenatal and postnatal classes at Blossom and came for both my babies (now ages 4.5 and almost 1.5). I always felt comfortable in spite of all my medical issues with my back, as she always offered a helpful modification even with my limitations (no seated poses - very hard for prenatal classes!) and I always felt welcome in her classes. She has such a peaceful presence, but most importantly, she has a wonderful sense of flow of the class and I always relaxed so much in her classes. Getting some movement in with a baby in tow is not easy but Hillary's classes allowed

Words cannot express the gratitude I feel towards Hillary, who was not only my yoga instructor through two pregnancies, but a mentor and an inspiration as well. Hillary's classes were the highlight of every week. I would anticipate our encounters and cherish every minute of class. At the end of my pregnancy I even wished my baby would wait, just another week, so that I could steel one more yoga class with Hillary. Prenatal yoga with Hillary was a holistic experience. It was physically and mentally calming, and gave me the gift of turning inwards and embracing my body, my feelings and my baby

I take Hillary's class whenever I can on Thursday mornings. I have a serious practice (teaching for 15 years) and I while I am open to receive from any class/ teacher, it takes an experienced, well-trained, discerning teacher to keep me coming back on a regular basis. Her class is the right blend of classical yoga philosophy and asana practice delivered in a way that meets the needs of a diverse population- Thursday attendance includes all skill levels and ages from 20's to 80's. She offers options and modifications to meet everyone where they are on that particular day. While I

I took a yoga retreat with Hillary earlier this year and was fortunate enough to experience her classes twice daily. She is a compassionate, kind, and warm instructor. She provides appropriate adjustments and modifications. Her classes are very accessible and grounding. I would highly recommend any opportunity to take a class with Hillary or just even be in her physical space, as she has an amazing energy that just radiates off her all the time.

I attend Hillary's yoga classes at Samyama Yoga Center. This is a public class with very high attendance( ie she's very popular.) That is because she gives a lot of instruction for a flow class (gentle flow; not power flow.)
Hillary has the gift of being able to teach the whole class and adjust individuals at the same time. As a yoga teacher also, I can attest this is not easy. Hillary often has a theme to her class like one of the chakras or a sutra and she does corresponding poses so one can learn beyond the asana (pose) itself. I highly recommend this teacher, mostly because she
