Silver Horse Winery

You were highly recommended by a friend. No phone number on web site. Only phone number I could find online is to some brewery. Web site shows "suspended" when I click on any link, including trying to order. How do I get your wine??

I can see why. I ordered a bottle of wine in December to be sent to family as a Christmas gift. It wasn't sent out until February. And the response via email was, "oh sorry about that". After I stressed how this was not okay, I was promised a refund. I never received said refund and when I emailed them to ask about it I didn't get a response. Shocker.

This winery has some of the best creative and savory reds I've ever had. I was sorry to see them temporarily close but I do hope they'll be open again soon!

Very small. Tasty wines. Good service. Plus, you can sip some vino and play corn hole out back... #KnowWhatImSayin

Visited this winery on the way to Cambria such it was such an amazing place!

My mom and me did the sampler.. it was great to go outside in the beautiful area they had to sit and hang out. Def coming back!

The atmosphere was perfect and the red wines made it hard to leave and visit other wineries. We can not recommend one red over another because they were all so unique.

So happy we stopped here! Great red wines, awesome patio, clean facilities! I had a tasting and bought 2 bottles while playing connect 4 tic tac tow and corn hole with my daughter and husband on their beautiful patio. Will def be back!

What a special location and building ... Most of all we thoroughly enjoyed all the wines we tasted and left with 6 exquisite reds!

Great great winery ! One of the best wine makers on the central coast. Great venue too. We had a retirement party there last night for 180 people. We loved the venue and Steve Kroener was helpful and professional to work with. The guests raved about the wine and venue . Best party ever!! Thank you Steve and Jane.

Lovely and easy to get to. Approachable wines in a range of styles. My faves were the whites, but, several reds wound up coming home with us, too. Lovely malbec, particularly. We really loved the tasting notes, which were both humorous and accurate.

Much better than Kelsey, which we would suggest you skip.

My brother found this tasting room while we were on a weekend trip. The customer service was incredible! They stayed open a little later for us and we got to complete the entire tasting. We walked out with two amazing bottles I'm excited to pair with a great meal! The selection of wines is great and each wine is so unique and bold. The white wines seemed European and were unusually good for California, not too sweet. I just wish they would add some food to the tasting room in the future. Great experience!

Excellent wines in an out of the way old two room school house that has been beautifully refurbished. Enjoyed both white and reds and bought a bottle of each. Dog friendly, with nice cushy seats both indoors and out. A deli is coming soon, apparently. Only open 3 months in this location.

Wow what an incredible place. Went to the new Silver Horse Winery in Avila Valley with my wife and several friends last weekend and can't say enough great things about our experience. First off the wine is incredible this is high praise considering we have spent plenty of time tasting in Paso Robles and Los Olivos and Silver Horse is one of our very favorites. Also the new tasting room is located in a cool old converted school house that adds charm and character to your day. Beautiful roomy tasting room! The restored schoolhouse is absolutely as charming as the staff :) definitely worth a visit. Especially after a walk on the Bob Jones trail!
