After being gifted a three-class pass to a new yoga studio in 2010, I discovered a passion for yoga and meditation that wasn't anticipated. Yoga quickly proved the kernel of change that enabled a full lifestyle pivot, resulting in a healthier body, mind and spirit. I believe that yoga provides the foundation for becoming the best possible you.
Fueled by the desire to help others explore and discover their best selves, I earned a 200-hr RYT in Fluid Yoga with Kevan Gale of Stil Studio in Dedham, MA. Through Bodhi & Mind, I am also certified to deliver cancer-informed yoga and meditation instruction. In 2015 I also earned a SPA Yoga certification with Betty Riaz of Stil Studio.

Our family took a glass plate cutting and designing class with Spencer on a rainy morning last week. It was the highlight of our vacation! Spencer is an excellent and patient teacher who was willing to answer every question we had. The studio setting is beautiful. Our daughter is already planning the next class she would take there if we were in the area 😃. The plates have come out beautifully and are a lovely souvenir of our trip. Wholeheartedly recommend!

My wife and I attended a paperweight class with Spencer this week. He was very knowledgeable about glass and the entire process. We appreciated the care he took regarding safety precautions. He took his time to model what we would do and then guided each of us to make beautiful paperweights we could take home as souvenirs. All in all, we highly recommend taking a class and hope to visit again soon.

Salt and Sands Studios is a wonderful place to stay at for any reason at all! I was there for a Yoga Retreat and found the accommodations and location to be excellent.! The ride was beautiful and it was easy to find. Salt and Sands is located close to swimming holes, waterfalls and wonderful hiking, providing lots of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Karen and Spencer are warm and welcoming hosts. I had the opportunity to take a glassblowing class and made a beautiful paperweight! Spencer is a phenominal teacher and a was kind and patient with me. Karen's yoga studio has a lovely spiritual ambiance

I attended a weekend yoga retreat at Salt & Sand Studios this past September. This property was in the most glorious setting nestled in the National Forest. Hosts Karen and Spencer could not have been more welcoming. I enjoyed yoga classes, a walking meditation, participated in a glass blowing class, and had a wonderful time trying new activities in this beautiful setting. There is an Airbnb room on the property, which was already booked, so I didn't stay on site, but it was an altogether delightful experience. They are right in the Mad River Valley ski area, Sugarbush is about 15 minutes away

Our group of four did a private glass blowing class with Spencer yesterday and had a great time. The workshop is a super cute old barn and it's nice and toasty in there. Spencer gave us the perfect amount of history, science and art instruction. We got to design our own glass paperweights, including coloring and shaping them. This would be a fun activity for kids or adults. After we got our weights in the annealing oven Spencer gave us a demonstration of how to blow a glass. Fun, engaging and we even learned a bit!
