The apartment was not in good order when we moved in. Alot of maintence had to be done. This is a smoking community and there is ALOT of smoke. I have a new born and I would never have moved here if I knew this was the case. There are five windows and we have to close four of the five windows all the time because the people below us are chain smokers. There are alot of motorcycles in this complex for some reason and they are loud especially at night. Me and my family regret at times moving here. It's not worth 3K a month for a 2b2b. I’m a current resident but very annoyed by neighbor’s smoking. This is a smoking community! We didn’t know it. We’re shocked about this after moved in because a lot of apartments in SD are smoking free! We can’t open windows because people smoke next door or down below! Additionally there are a lot of people riding motorcycles, which it’s so loud! The rent is not worth $3,000 a month!

Great location. The management is always very responsive and the units are well taken care of. However, I DO NOT recommend staying here if you have elementary school age kids. Aside from the pool, there is nothing outside for them to do and the neighborhood is quiet to a point that people complain if kids are outside playing. So if you want a nice quiet neighborhood, this is the place. If you want your kids to be kids and play outside with other kids, there's no place for them here.

First condos living in San Diego, and I couldn't choose a better place to live. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The area is close to major freeways but no problem with the disturbance. The facility is very well maintained with excellent amenities to keep the family entertained. Fabulous heated pool, and gym facilities. The staff is friendly and do everything to make your time great.

Do not use the drop box for rent. Checks go missing and you will get charged a late fee as you won’t be notified. Also the moving out process is ridiculous. They charge you for cleaning, including carpet. Mine has no stain and perfect condition. They charge anyway. They will get all they can out of the security deposit.

Please read carefully before considering moving into Evening Creek. YOU WILL NOT GET ANY OF YOUR SECURITY DEPOSIT BACK. I took great care of my unit, but the list of "things" that you to pay when you move out is frustrating and completely unfair. The Landlord, H.J. Fenton will collect rent from you every month and then YOU will pay to ready the unit for the next tenant. IF YOU HAVE A PET- LOOK ELSEWHERE! Although YOU will not get to inspect UNDER the carpets before you move in, they will find pet stains when you move out and regardless if your pet caused the stain- THEY WILL BILL

My wife and I had the pleasure of living in the Evening Creek Community for 4 years. The community grounds are well maintained and the maintenance staff was outstanding, always dealing with issues in a timely manner. We had the pleasure of interacting with many staff members over the years. Tina, Kaj, Tim, Travis, Crystal and the rest of the management team were wonderful, ready to help resolve issues and regularly provided exciting events in the community, including, costume party competitions, movie nights, continental breakfasts, ice cream socials, cookouts, and Christmas party gift exchanges

I've lived here for a year and every experience that my family has had, start to finish, at Evening Creek was always a pleasant and positive one. I'll be the first to let anyone know when I'm unhappy but I just have nothing bad to say about this place. The management team cares about all its tenants and they show it in more ways than one. From constant gatherings to movie nights, and even making sure they handed us breakfast in the rain at the front gate to show appreciation. They really do go above and beyond because they care. I have had the best experience here, Kaj has done nothing but his best for us he has amazing customer service the way he treat us and talks to us is just 5 star service and he always goes over and beyond for us, movie night Kaj and Tina are both there its just a wonderful experience here. I have lived here for over a year and I love it! It’s a great community! Neighbors even wave to each other here. Tina and the rest of the staff go above and beyond to make sure fun community events are held on a regular basis and that all of our needs are met! Additionally, it’s a pet friendly community that it less than 5 miles from the Caramel Mountain Shopping Plaza so everything you need and more is literally walking distance! Highly recommend it, especially for families. If your considering it, I encourage you to take a tour!

We sold our townhouse and decided to rent in the short term. We looked at LOTS of condos and apartments! Evening Creek won by a landslide. Updated, well kept units with great storage, flow, and a garage?! Pools, Tennis, gym, pet friendly! Oh! AND events like movies poolside, food trucks and wine and canvas nights.

There are a number of options when it comes to renting an apartment near Carmel Mountain, and we had lived in two before visiting Evening Creek. The customer service here is phenomenal. Seriously amazing, and noticeably different from other communities nearby.

I've lived here for 5 years because of how great the property is and it's convenience to shops and my work commute. We found that one of the bigger 3 bedroom units opened and asked Tim to give us a tour. Immediately signed the contract that day! Better yet, because I had payed for my rent already with my current unit he said he would do his best to try to get it rented so I can get some return on my rent. We lived in EC for nearly 5 years and was the best luxury condo experience! There were many family oriented activities for us, friendly staff, and neighbors. During those years we raised our kids from late elementary, middle school, and into early high school. We've now transitioned to homeowners! My girlfriend and I moved in late July and have been very happy with the management of the move-in. The Resident Manager, Tim Graves, has been very helpful and accommodating with our move-in. Each email sent to him came back with a timely and informative response. There were only minor snags in our move-in, but Tim acted quickly to resolve them and make sure we were happy with our apartment.

This is a great, dog-friendly apartment complex. This is the first place I have lived in San Diego so I'm not sure how it compares to other apartments but I really like living here. I like having a garage and a washer and dryer in the apartment. I also think the fitness center is pretty well equipped for its size.
My favorite part of living here is all the activities. Wine night socials, food trucks, breakfasts - Tim and Tina really do a good job providing things for people to do. They are also so friendly and care so much about the apartment complex and the residents.

Fantastic apartments that are super dog friendly. Its in a great location where you are just enough outside of the city that you don't have to deal with a lot of bad traffic, but close enough that you can be downtown or on a beach in 20-30 minutes.
Also, Tim and Tina are the best people to work with if you have any issues or questions about the area. The maintenance team is top notch as well. I usually have any requests filled the same day, and its the next day at the latest.
If you are looking for a new place to live, this is it.

This is NOT the Evening Creek you knew a year ago. The management has changed; the policies have changed; the upkeep has changed; the responsiveness has changed. What used to be one of the brightest stars in apartment living in San Diego is now among the worst.
As Daniel C wrote, we were charged $750+ final move out. In my 9 previous (mostly luxury) apartment complexes in 3 countries I've never eclipsed $100. We are meticulously neat, I vacuum daily, I scrub counters and sinks and floors 3x/week, we don't wear shoes in the house and so on.
We were hit with a re-carpeting fee ($400

The management (Travis and Matt) were very responsive to all of our needs. Repair requests were handled very promptly, and follow-ups to repair requests always occur the next day or two. We were very happy with Dan and Art.
It's pretty safe. Most of the complex is upper-middle class and the neighbor's seemed really friendly. It's pretty dog friendly too.
The complex management holds a TON of events for the apartment community. Movie nights, cooking classes, dog-of-the-month, door decorating, tons of stuff. It's a fun place to live. We moved since we purchased a home. Thank you

DONT MOVE HERE! Inefficient layouts, zero noise insulation, no preventive maintenance, old appliances, horrible service from office "manager" and maintenance guy (yes, there is only one person for all apartments), and inconsiderate neighbors.
These apartments look nice but are really not made for small living space, you can hear every time the neighbors leave/arrive when the garage doors open and close. You can hear the traffic noise ALL day long. also, everything in our apartment was broken as soon as we moved in; AC/Heater not working, sink plugged, dishwasher, bathroom toilet
