Welcome to Dancing Crow Yoga! Yoga is a special and ancient gift, a way for you to care for your body and mind and to explore your spirit and soul. It may just change your life! With a collection of diverse practices for enhancing physical health, mental clarity, emotional growth, and spiritual depth, yoga can benefit anyone.
While yoga asana (postures) can be practiced as a workout to develop muscle strength and flexibility, the full practice includes so much more. Breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation practices and a guiding philosophy for living (yamas and niyamas) nurture our health and growth on deeper levels and help us develop our internal power and a true center.

Definitely a high quality yoga studio. I have gone to some of the other studios in the area, and was perfectly happy with them...but as it always goes "you don't know what you don't know." Dancing Crow has classes fit for all levels, and something that is especially impressive about the studio is the diversity and skill of the instructors. Many of them have studied yoga for many years and are well versed with the philosophy, tradition, mythology, and skill involved in yoga.

I have been here a few times so far and like the place enough, it's very 'no frills' but the location is excellent. I've found a lot of the instructors to be satisfactory and do a decent class but nothing special. I bought a 10 class package to dancing crow and will definitely return to use all of my classes but may venture elsewhere after my package is up to find someplace that I can be more excited about.

Oh my goodness, I cannot express my love for Dancing Crow enough. As a lifelong dancer, I did not like the passive yoga classes I had taken before. I took a class on a whim at Dancing Crow and was HOOKED. Every teacher I've had class with has been so hands on, making sure that all of the students are doing the poses correctly and safely, which is something that is missing at far too many yoga studios. The studio is also immaculate and class sizes are never too small, but most importantly never too large.

I can't say enough good things about dancing crow! I was a yoga newbie and decided to take the intro to yoga course with Mid this fall. The cost of $60 included 4 nearly 90 minute sessions and it was by far the best decision in my journey into yoga practice I could have made :) First off the atmosphere and cleanliness of the space was perfection, everything was clean with generous space for shoes, lockers, bathrooms and changing areas. They provide mats if you forget yours and have all the props you might need for your practice: chairs, straps, blankets, blocks, bolsters, etc. If you are new

Found out about this studio through passporttoprana.com ($30 for 1 free class at tons of studios in Boston! huge score) Beautiful space, the studio felt warm and inviting mainly due to the beautiful decor, staff, and free tea :)
The class I went to was a "slow flow hatha" which was perfect for me after a long illness getting back to yoga but would have been a bit too slow regularly. I would LOVE to see a Sunday night restorative class here. The teacher, Laura, was wonderful and offered many helpful assists as well as helpful imagery for proper alignment.
The only con was the finding

Hello Everyone!
I had my first experience with DCY and Fay last night. I did have some trouble finding the entrance at first, but once I did, I'll never forget where it is...not only was its modern, beautiful, spacious and warm but Fay was wonderful enough to teach my friend and I, even though we were late and the only ones that showed up for the class! Definitely the most attention/help I've recieved in a class as well as my friend and everything from the lockers, tea corner, music and ambiance was a 10 for me. Plenty of space for larger classes or workshops, clean and an all around

What could make The Derby Street Shoppes better? ....Um how about an awesome "real" yoga studio?...With different kinds of teachers that have varied backgrounds, so there's something for everyone. It is in The Derby Street Shoppes BEHIND Crate and Barrel (tricky, at first) yes BEHIND, like drive around to the BACK of the building. I love Anusara Yoga and Nikki Jacobs is the "Certified" Anusara instructor there..The Anusara Yoga Certification only takes about a Yuga (that's like forever) to complete, so you know she's the real deal. OMG...She's beautiful
