Something to consider if you are an OU medical center employee or travel nurse and are considering the steelyard as you next place to crash for awhile.
It is horribly loud and not conducive to a good night rest. I live in an apartment facing the pool. The pool parties are loud and can make it difficult for those working the night shift to get sleep. I work days and have been woken up around 2:30am to people singing karaoke at the top of their lungs.
Unless you can get a top floor apartment I can't see how you can avoid loud neighbors. Try to think about those who walk on their heels or

I really enjoyed living here. Unfortunately, it wasn’t completely finished so we didn’t get to experience all of the amenities, but they’re gorgeous. The play area for the doggos was a bit small and it was kind of a trip to get there multiple times a day from the 4th floor, but overall was a great place to live. We really liked the gated parking garage. Never had any problems or noise complaints. The pool is shallow but it’s massive! One of the best parts was watching the firework display from the ballpark right from my balcony!

Absolutely amazing apartments. The staff values their residents and always do fun giveaways and events. Completely secure with security and private access. The apartment itself is luxurious with dark wood floors, granite countertops and neutral accents. Very well kept up and clean amongst the facility. There is also a big pool, plenty of lounge areas along with free coffee and a great gym!

Have had a wonderful experience at Steelyard! Their office has always been responsive to my requests and very polite. They go above and beyond to answer my questions and provide assistance when needed. The amenities are wonderful and the complex is kept very clean. Their maintenance team is also amazing. I have thoroughly enjoyed living here. Fantastic living option in a great location.

We rented the summer of 2020 at the peak of the pandemic. We were hesitant to rent as concerns that OU would cancel school but they assured us we could get out if that happened. They said they already did it for some professional baseball players. After we signed, they said the sales person was wrong and this was a trend with the management team… here. Follow up was always slow or didn’t happen at all. Luckily, OU proceeded with the school year. We rented for 10 months, but they pulled the “read your contract” bs when they charged $817 for insufficient notification of 60

I moved to Oklahoma City from Houston for my job and the steelyard has been my home for a little over a year now. The employees here are very nice and quick to answer any questions you may have. The steelyard does cool events every month and sometimes contest, to really bring the community/residents together. The apartments are really nice, and this place is very secured. Awesome service in regards to valet trash, maintenance and again the employees. I will be recommending the Steelyard apartment to current/future friends. Lastly, the location is by far the best in my opinion. So many great places

These are supposed to be luxurious apts. no security, doors left open with rocks all night long. We had our $1000 night stands stolen right from our front door while we were moving. Mgmt said oh well. Our car… was broken into in the garage. The garage door always broken and open. We were told 24/7 security when we moved in , there is zero security! Our apartment was supposed to be brand new never lived in, but I found drugs and paraphernalia in my bathroom drawer when we moved in. Very expensive for what you get. Our carpet was stained and walls scratched when we moved in and was reported

I am military and was originally only planning on being here a few months (which I told them and they said sure just sign this 12 month lease). Long story short, I ended up being there for 10… months, but they still made me pay an extra month PLUS a early termination fee when I had to move out.
Even though you'll have to pay for the parking garage, don't expect to get a spot all the time during the summer months. All the college kids usually

BEWARE MILITARY!!! I was MEB’d and was only given 2 weeks from the time I was given my medical retirement orders (100% disabled) and my DOS. My orders stated PCS on them but the front staff would not honor the military clause because it was a retirement. I served over 25 years and certainly would have done more but was forced to retire by the AF.… My condition requires support from my family to help care for me. I didn’t know anyone in OKC. Bottom line, I had to leave to be by my family. I wish I could have given the full 30 day notice but the AF only gave me 2 weeks..I left

Don't move here! My worst experience with apartment complexes ever!
First of all, Steelyard is ridiculously expensive for what you get. With this price you can go to West Village which is way better and fancier or Deep Deuce if you really want to be in this area. A lot of people (including myself) are moving out.
Second, the management is terrible here. They literally have one job and they are not doing it right. My car rear window was smashed in one night right next to the apartment building. Not their fault. However, I approached them to ask if their cameras had captured the incident. They
