Services
Vail Place is a community resource center for adults with serious mental illnesses. We serve as a single point of access and coordination for most everything a person pursuing recovery needs: essential daily living services (housing, employment, health and wellness, etc.); and connections to other critical community resources (medical, dental, benefits, etc.).
Vail Place is named after Dr. David Vail, a national pioneer in promoting the humanitarian treatment of people with mental illnesses in community-based settings. President Lyndon Johnson presenting Dr. Vail with an award for his efforts on behalf of new mental health legislation. Most Minnesotans with mental illness had been moved out of institutions.
An independent study found that for every $1 donated to a Clubhouse, the social return on investment is $14! This is possible because the whole community saves on the costs of hospitalizations, homelessness, joblessness and more! Donor Advised Funds: Please consider recommending a grant to Vail Place from your donor-advised fund.
Clubhouse Community Support Program: community-based resources and services to help you manage your mental and physical health and improve your overall quality of life. Case Management: a one-on-one, recovery-focused approach to help you identify and devise plans to achieve your goals. Vail Care: an individualized, complete care approach if you have complex mental and physical health needs.
The Clubhouse Model centers on community, relationship building, and opportunities for you on your recovery journey. These opportunities help you find friendships, employment, education, housing, health and wellness, and a broader connection to the community. A case manager works with you to connect you with the services you need and want.
