Choux is located in the heart of San Francisco, in the Lower Haight. Our address is 248 Fillmore Street at the corner of Haight Street. Very cool little shop on Fillmore, with a nice mix of Choux bites.
Parking is very tight just don't double park on Fillmore, and you should be alright. As for the shop it's cute just order at the door, fyi you can see the Choux pastries through the window glass.
As for my box it contained a large chocolate that was rich but not overly heavy, 4 of the Financiers that were some what substantial, and 2 light Choux. The box presents well, and as of this posting I have enjoyed the large Choux, and one of the Financiers.
A small box can be a nice treat or gift, but yea it's not cheap

Saw this little gem as I was walking by and everything she had on display caught my eye. The lady was an absolute kind soul who was so patient with our thousand questions. She described each delicious piece making us want to try everything! We were not disappointed!!! Our taste buds danced and savored each item. We come from a small town that has nothing compared to this gem! We will return!

Checked about online ordering since it gets crazy here and found out they have an online ordering system which is great...
The next morning I tried to place an order for pick up and the current day was all blocked off .. mind you it's 6am well before they open so I was placing the order ahead of time..
Turns out you cannot place your order the day of... this is a joke!

I got two small tarts (4 inch diameters), aPumpkin Biscoff Tart and the Pear Frangipane Tart. They were both very well decorated and looked amazing, but I felt that the taste was quite plain and underwhelming. Perhaps I had hyped up the shop after wanting to try it for so long, but it's not something that I would crave or go out of my way to buy for myself.
Their selection of baked goods is very beautiful and make excellent gifts though, I would definitely buy again for the convenience of ordering online and for the selection if my friends and family enjoy these baked goods.

OMG this place is simply darling! We had the pleasure of interacting with one of the co-owners and staff. Everyone was fun, cool and amazing.
We couldn't decide what we wanted so we grabbed one of each of the cream puffs and the owner chose the rest!
Can't wait to go back!

Overall experience is pretty good. I ordered online and scheduled pick up on weekend.
1. My fav is canele. They are not overwhelmingly sweet like other pastries. The texture is very fluffy.
2. Choux - I ordered a box of 4 and they pick the flavors, which can be hit and miss. Chocolate flavor is really amazing!
I haven't tried other pastries yet. I will update my review once I tried those.

For a place called "Choux" and predominantly selling Choux (ie cream puffs), I believe it is essential to master the choux pastry itself.
However it isn't the case which is unfortunate because their choice of flavors is nice and the different creams used as filling taste good but the choux pastry itself is not nice. It's too thick and a bite cake like which is certainly not how choux are supposed to be.

This place is such a hidden gem! I originally saw their cute cream puffs on Instagram, how pretty and colorful they were caught my eye. I happened to be in the area today, so I thought that I might as well try it! And it was amazing--would definitely come back again.
My boyfriend and I ordered the pesto bun, 2 cheese puffs, a sugar brioche, a berries and almond brioche, 2 hazelnut cream puffs, and 2 vanilla cream puffs. Choux . Mon petit choux! I like me a good creme puff. Ask my Gramma. But Dina, @ChouX turns a creme puff into a work of art-- both for your eyes and your taste buds. The raspberry puff tasted delicious with just enough raspberry to make you want more. I was lucky enough to say that I have enough sass to be a creme puff fanatic so Dina asked me to choose another. I chose the lime and the coconut, albeit a good pun, I refuse to shake it all up. But I will say, this puff was subLIME. (gotcha). I am not a fan of key lime pie, I am a total lemon meringue pie 100pct, but this puff made me me a fan. Dina

I'm a big dessert person. And hubs surprised me with a box of 12 choux for my birthday. Boxing was adorable. The choux were soft and the filling was creamy and flavorful without being overly sweet.
Some favorites were the cookies and cream and coffee. Hubs also got some pate de fruit which I recommend passing as they weren't as flavorful.
Will have to go there in person next time!

The service was great. I got a box of 8 plus one of the cream puffs and 2 caneles.
The cream puffs were really good. Every flavor I got was delicious and distinctively bold with that flavor.
I can't even say I have a favorite. I literally loved each one. And the puff itself want the traditional egg puff pastry. I can't describe it but it was the best little dessert and very satisfying. I look forward to trying more flavors and other pastries they offer.

It's a tiny place in a super cute neighborhood. There were couple of people in front of us, but it went fast. When we got to the front, we knew right away we wanted the cinnamon brioche and when given the flavors of cream puffs, decided on lemon, lime, cookies & cream and raspberry. When choux is life! Love them from @chouxsf and all the diff flavors! My favs were pistachio, hazelnut, salted caramel, raspberry, lemon, chocolate, vanilla, coffee - yea all of it they also have other types of French goodies like canele, almond cakes and meringue!

I really want to love Choux. I’ve been a few times over the past few years, but my last two experiences really were a let down. Choux is a small bakery in San Francisco with a single storefront. They specialize in “choux au craquelin”, but also offer other pastries and pâte de fruits.
The cream puffs are unique. The flavors are fairly traditional. They offer a lot of filling. Compared to competitors Choux does not fill to order. My cream puffs tasted great the same day purchased. But the morning after they were soggy and lacked the same depth of flavor. The price is high for what you get

If you like cream puffs you should definitely stop by this place, multiple times. As soon as you arrive at this little shop you greeted with a big smile and friendliness by their front person which will patiently help you with questions and which flavor to decide, because they all look so delicious. The lemon and hazelnut were my favorites, and the passion fruit is the perfect seasonal!
