DTLA's only bicycle shop with 3 floors. A cycling destination for fixed gear messenger, urban commuter, weekend warrior, hard core roadie, and leisure rider alike. Yes, we have over 500 bicycles in stock, thousands of accessories, skilled mechanics and service techs, a knowledgeable staff who love to ride to work, all in a 18,000 square foot shop in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles.
What started as an underground basement shop on Broadway has emerged into the premier bicycle shop in Downtown Los Angeles. We had this idea in 2009 to create a bicycle shop with a safe way to test ride bicycles. To reflect the joy and awe of watching and riding a bicycle. To experience it. At first a hidden underground basement shop, it transformed into an indoor test track and bicycle paradise.

Services
You can pay when you drop your bike off during the check in process or you can wait until you return to retrieve your bike to pay. Either way is great. We accept all major CC and in some very special cases Paypal as well (of course cash).
Depending on the condition of the bike and which service you choose, the average turn around time is approximately 2-4 days* The other tune up options which are more comprehensive and detailed can take anywhere from 3-7days.We always work our hardest to get you your bike sooner rather than later. If I need new parts (wheel, tube, tires, chain etc.) is that included in the cost of labor?.

Or if you prefer to find out in the privacy of your own home, you can apply for a line of credit with Synchrony by completing the process in the window below. Once you've applied, you will have several options as to how you would like to pay. Please review the chart provided as a reference to assist in your decision process.
What has two wheels, improves mobility and air quality, reduces traffic congestion and parking demand, saves energy, and promotes healthy living through enjoyable exercise? Sound too good to be true? Planners, engineers, policymakers, and cyclists recognize these as benefits of bicycle commuting. A rack over the rear wheel is convenient for carrying items such as books, a briefcase, or clothing.

I've been coming t this bike shop for 3 years now. When I first moved to DTLA I knew I needed a bike ASAP. I bought a DTLA Bike (their brand) from their bike shop the first month I moved. My girlfriend bought the same model a week later. We ride our bikes all around downtown and the arts district at least 3-4 times a week. I have never had any issues (besides 2-3 flat tires, from me over inflating) with their bikes. Plus this shop has an air compressor outside if you're in the neighborhood and need a quick fill. The customer service has always been solid. Thank you DTLA Bikes.

I do almost all my bike tune ups myself, but come by this shop from time to time to pick up things like cables, brake pads, etc. It's a nice spot, conveniently located, and a cool staff. I'm giving them two stars because they sold me an incompatible product and they don't accept returns. I went in looking for drop bar levers for a v-brake (which can be difficult to find due to drop bar levers typically having a short pull, while v-brakes have a long pull). I asked to look at their drop-bar levers and even asked TWO different employees if they can confirm that the levers I was looking at were compatible

I entered dtla hikes with high Hope's. After all, its ads and blurbs and pictures made it seem like the perfect place to go. Boy was I wrong.
I'm a senior citizen in pretty good shape and was looking for a leasure comfort city bike. I was ready and willing to browse around their used bikes and get their advice. When I mentioned the type of bike I was looking for to the salesman he immediately stated: we dont have them. I proceeded to ask if they would be getting them back in stock and he replied curtly: we never have them.. as he was responding I sensed some aggravation on his part. He

Owner was helpful and knowledgeable about bikes. So knowledgeable and in the biking culture to the point that I felt like me buying a couple 3 speed city touring bikes was a bit below him. If you want custom road bikes parts and advice he is a good resource in the DTLA area. I deducted stars because when I went back to pick up the bikes after payment and having them add some baskets, the kick stands were not on the bikes any longer so I asked where they were because I bought bike as-is(was) and we wanted them on the bike for city stoppage use. and we aren't so into biking kick stands

These guys are great: knowledgeable, diligent, friendly, fair. I searched far and wide for a hardtail for my wife, found it in LA, was a little concerned about having to buy and get modifications remotely, but came away really happy with the bike, the advice, the customization, the price, and the delivery. Really just a very good experience all around.

My bike was working perfectly fine until I came to this shop. It rode perfectly well and only needed a fluid bleed, but they called me saying my left lever was completely broken and leaking. Once I arrived to pick up my bike, I saw that they stretched and ripped the rubber cover of the lever and there was hydraulic fluid leaking out of the side screw hole. After asking if the mechanic, Manuel, tampered with the lever screw holes, he got upset and yelled at me, saying he "worked on bikes much more expensive" than mine with no problems.

I found that the young man working in the store was helpful, he had a few suggestions pertaining to my needs which weren't difficult at all. I was a little taken back with the prices for things but I guess it's the sign of the times. I purchased an eBike and I needed a lock to secure my investment until my permanent one arrives and I'm not going anywhere without a way to lock it. Anyway his suggestions for a lock varied from higher to high and still dropped over $60 and that was on the low endlock. But overall it was a pleasurable experience,

My brother and I decided to pick up cycling. It was recommended to us by trusted friend to go down to downtown LA bikes.
I found that DTLA Bikes did more educating than selling.
The other thing was great was they have underground test track which is small but it's good to get on the bike and just see how it feels.
The support that I received following the sale was most impressive. My questions were wide reaching. The DTLA bikes team were patent and extremely supportive.
DTLA Bikes are caring professionals.

Only 4 hours to tune up and resemble my bike. Mind blown! I wasnt sure if it was arrogance initially, but in hindsight I appreciated how confident he was in taking care of my bike when I dropped it off. It's never rode so smoothly and this is my bike's first tune up and wash in my three years of owning it. Thank you Manual. I'll definitely be returning here for all of my bike's needs.

What a great shop! Called ahead to ask about modifying my new Peloton. Rodney asked me helpful questions in advance of my visit. Drove in only to realize that I've run by this store without realizing it was there. Store is huge. Was greeted by happy budgiebirds, which was fun.
Rodney walked me through a number of options and explained what to look for in each. Predictably, I opted for their most expensive option.
Rodney even walked me through how to install them and ensured I have the right tools. Talk about above and beyond!

Earlier today, I picked up the Topeak MTX Trunkbag with panniers and Delta X-Mount Pro for my new bicycle. Both accessories were recommended by Rodney and I'm very happy with them.
These panniers fit full size binders!
Both accessories are exactly what I needed and Rodney gave me quick recommendations.
The store has a lot of bicycles and accessories to choose from. Such selections are usually a nightmare for me due to my indecisiveness - but Rodney and the team seem incredibly knowledgeable of their products, so it's easy to ask questions and get pointed in the right direction.

Got a good price on a complex bike repair. Communication could have been better as my as they kept moving forward my pickup day whenever I'd call/stop in to double check when the time came, but the straightforwardness and price point definitely helped make up for it. Feels like a solid bike shop for everyone from the working man to bourgeois LA cyclists.
Will be coming here again

Since September 2020, I’ve purchased two bikes from DTLA: Cannondale CAADX1 & Specialized Sirrus X 3.0. The purchase was smooth both times, and Rodney and his crew are always helpful. They have a great selection of bikes considering the current shortage, and solid inventory of accessories and parts. Even if you have a problem with a new bike, they’re quick to address and solve the problem.

My brother and I decided to pull the trigger and purchase two electric trail bikes. I moved out to California temporarily from Hawaii, so I'm sharing my brother's one car. We work out every weekend by hiking Runyon Canyon, and have a mini gym set up at his house, but we wanted to expand our athletic training, while at the same time using the bikes as a way of commuting, especially for him. His work is only 3 1/2 mi away , so what better way for him to get extra exercise than commute?!
After extensive research, we decided we wanted to purchase e-bikes that could be serviced locally. The

Strongly discourage anyone from coming here for repairs. Came here for a simple fix to my gears and paid $35...only to have the "repair" cause more issues with my bike for months. Within a day of leaving the shop, I started having a completely new/separate issue that was clearly caused by the repair and I took it back in. The repair guy gave me major attitude about fixing it and wanted to charge me a second time for an issue that was clearly caused by their work. The bike worked OK for a few days and then for months I kept having the same issue intermittently (gears not switching properly

This is 1 of 2 bicycle shops I visit when I need maintenance or products in the Downtown L.A. area. Andrew and Rodney are 2 very professional employees with great customer service. The shop itself is well lit up and organized. This is coming from someone who lives over 17 miles away who has closer bicycle shops nearby but not as good when it comes to the professionalism and customer service. Professionalism and good customer service over convenience for me when it comes to bicycles. 🚲

I did encounter inconsistencies when gathering basic info, I spoke to 2 different people and heard 2 different answers.
But, besides that the end result was better than expected.
My bike looks good as new!
My tune up was needed bad for my bike and I was extremely satisfied when they returned my bike.

Just purchased a gorgeous new bike. Easiest purchase.
Yehuda came by, dropped off a bike that he thought would work best for me and gave me an awesome price.
Made everything so easy and stress-free!
Yehuda is kind, honest and knowledgeable. Didn't try to up-sell me or guilt me into a purchase.
Highly recommend buying a bike from Yehuda @DTLA BIKES.
