Rider-Developed means never losing sight of why we ride bikes: the fun of it. It also means that your bicycle, gear, accessories and clothing were expertly crafted with the quality of your ride at the forefront of it all. At State Bicycle Co., we strive to bring smooth-riding and premiere fixed gear, single speed, city and off-road bikes to all styles of riders.
Services
Sometimes items get dropped during shipping or loading. Sometimes things get scratched. Sometimes people order the wrong size and send items back. And sometimes we order too many items. That's why we have our new Warehouse Deals section where we will be adding floor models, photo models, customer returns, samples, and overstocked items at a DEEP discount.
Ask anybody who owns one: a State Bicycle is like no other bike on the road. From top to bottom, customize your fixed gear, single speed, premium fixie, dutch-style city bike, fat bike or off road bike in our web store or give us a call and we'll figure it out together. We produce most bike models in a limited-run quantity and then retire them for good after it has sold out; just another way we ensure your bike is one of a kind.
The game has changed. We are proud to offer a State Bicycle at a price of $399. We've heard from our customers that buying their first bike has it's own set of challenges with cost being the main concern. The Core-Line bikes deliver a solid build with endless value and will enable the first time buyers to throw a leg over a State Bicycle.
The 4130 Steel Line features 4130-grade chromoly steel, sealed hubs, light-weight components, and double-butted tubing, combined with designer colorways not seen anywhere else. We produce each bike model in a limited quantity and then retire them for good once the last bike leaves our warehouse. Trust us: once they're gone, they're gone.
Melding modern utility and old-world sophistication. The City Bike line harkens back to the timeless "Dutch Style" bicycles that flood the streets of urban Europe. Everything that makes those road bikes so cherished, from their elegant style to maximum utility to unrivaled comfort has been preserved and then given the unmistakable State Bicycle Co. treatment.

I bought my Core Line Redwood edition back in October this year and have about 695 miles so far. Overall a great bike to ride and State got it right. I recently went to SPD Pedals so that I can start getting a speeding ticket. In the pictures I did get it off the road to where it might feel more at home. This is a blast to ride anywhere.
I also traded in my 28c Sakura tires for some Kenda 32c tires which make the difference as Baton Rouge has some really horrible roads. In the last pic you will see there is no clearance on the seat post.
Now as I have put this many miles on my bicycle. I have

I bought a new bike here, and I had a flat tire on my first ride. I brought my bike back to change the inner tube, and they charged me again. Today, when I tried to ride my bike for only a third time, I found that my inner tube was flat again. It's the new inner tube they replaced last week. Extremely terrible quality control, but they still charge you a lot.

I bought a bike and racks today in the shop - the back rack wasn’t put together all the way and came apart. There’s two pieces missing that keep the main piece connected to the bike. It’s pieces from the pannier that connects the thin arms to main piece and keeps the main piece from falling backwards. Also - I bought a 49 frame because the sales person in the store today said that was the smallest size. Now that I’m looking at the exact bike on your site - it comes in a 46 - which at 4’11 is what I needed. Feeling really disappointed now I’m the whole sale. I would have gone online

After calling and asking about their core line I was told they had just assembled the very bike I was looking at online and that they would set it aside for me. When I arrived Trevor was incredibly helpful in answering my questions on maintenance, parts and other potential options in my price range. He was not pushy on sales but pointed me in the right directions which was very appreciative. He is a great asset to your store and I appreciated his help. Happy with my purchase, back on a pedal bike!

Really impressed with the selection of bikes at this store and the quality of the bikes as well. Decided to go with a simple Core-Line and it was by-far the easiest bike purchase I've ever made. They got it built and ready the same day.
The guys at the store were super helpful, got the perfect sized bike for me and it rides like a dream. Definitely will be buying my future bikes here from now on.

Wonderful experience. When other shops are 2-3 weeks out for bicycle service they took me THAT day. Also other shops were going to charge me almost double of what I got charged here! They did a great job installing my new crankset, setting chain tension for my single speed, and reinstalling the pedals appropriately! Overall, extremely satisfied. Not much to offer for parts, apparel, etcetera, but have BEAUTIFUL Fixed gear bikes that are fairly priced! Will be going here from now on for all maintenance and or repair needs!! Thank you guys!
